LEARN MORE ABOUT US: Reach us on our WEBSITE to learn more about the company and discuss business opportunities.

Our JetPack is just the beginning of the Personal Flight revolution.  Now we need your help to expand our R&D and make it available to everyone.

The engineers at JetPack Aviation have dreamed about personal flight for years.  For us, JetPacks are the ultimate expression of personal freedom.  Buckle In.  Throttle Up.  And you’re off.

Commuting through the air while others sit in traffic.  Delivering emergency medical supplies when every second can save a life.  Rescuing workers trapped in high-rise buildings.  Or just going for a Sunday afternoon spin around the park, soaring high like an eagle.  That is personal freedom.  And our JetPack technology is here.  It works.  It’s proven.  And it is now.

Like the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, Jetpack Aviation is standing at the leading edge of a brand new industry: Personal Flight Mobility.  And like those famous brothers, we are smashing technological barriers through hard work, creative insight, and a whole lot of R&D.

With your help as an investor, we will continue to improve our JetPack performance, enhance our safety systems, train a new generation of JetPack users, and deliver affordable, dependable, and easy-to-fly Personal Flight vehicles for all.

Market Opportunity

Personal flight is more than just a science fiction dream.  Today, it is a reality with numerous practical applications and commercial market potential, including the following:

  • Military. Our Jetpack technology is ideally suited for search, rescue and extraction of soldiers in danger.  Live reconnaissance, minefield avoidance, and ship-to-ship transfers are only a small example of the practical military applications for which JetPacks can be used. Jetpack Aviation has conducted several demonstration flights for the US military and we have been awarded a CRADA (Cooperative Research and Development Agreement) by USSOCOM (U.S. Special Operations Command). This agreement gives us access to the US military's best  engineers, experts, and facilities to further our R&D work.. The CRADA agreement also opens future opportunities to sell our JetPacks directly to the US armed services.

  • First Responders. Jetpacks enable firefighters to reach high floors faster and with more maneuverability. Police gain an eye-in-the sky for observation and analysis.  Disaster rescue workers can reach survivors in remote or unstable locations when roads are damaged.

  • Commuters. There’s no need for us all to sit in traffic. Some will bike, some will ride the bus, and some of us will fly.

  • Recreation. We’re already in discussions to develop a jetpack racing series.

It is a fact.  Our JetPack is real.  It flies.  It’s powerful.  It’s dependable.  And it is ready for commercial production.  We even have our first retail order from a private civilian customer.

Our Distribution Plans

Jetpack Aviation is developing a network of dealers in the United States with experience selling and servicing the helicopter industry. We will produce and ship JB10 jetpack units for rental and purchase.

In Europe we have partnered with Aerostar, an aviation dealer with broad experience selling hot air balloons, fixed wing aircraft, and pilot training. Aerostar will help develop a network of local country resellers. As a global company, Jetpack Aviation has already been meeting with distributors around the world including India, China, South America, the Middle East and Russia. Prospective distributors are typically experienced companies already involved in aviation, the import of aircraft, and provide pilot training services.

Some of our best worldwide customer prospects deal in the public sector. Jetpack Aviation has already been contacted by over 500 individuals, government agencies, and military services requesting more information about our jetpack.

Buzz About Us

Why Our JetPack Is The Only True JetPack

The first JetPack was conceived  almost 100 years ago. The original unbuilt concept was powered by oxygen and methane, and included wings that were three feet long.

Since then, many have tried and failed to build what seemed destined to remain science fiction.

In recent years, some have gotten closer. But none have created a portable device that you can strap to your back and lift off into the sky. Until now. JetPack Aviation has the only easy, safe, and portable solution for personal flight. Only JetPack Aviation has created a true jetpack.

With a 10,000 feet maximum altitude and 68 miles per hour forward flight speed, the JB10 can vertically lift a person off the ground from a tiny space and fly for up to 10 minutes.

The Jet Engine is a Marvel

Lift Off

Our jetpack is powered by two of the smallest, most efficient jet engines available anywhere in the world. Each engine delivers 180 LB of thrust and runs on ordinary jet fuel or diesel. This technology is key to making jetpacks a practical reality. The two specially modified jet turbine engines are controlled by a throttle synchronization computer ensuring that the thrust produced by each engine is managed equally - this system is patent pending. Additionally, the two jetpack engines have a power to weight ratio of over 7 to 1 offering 360 lbs. of thrust.

How it Works

Our specially modified jetpack engines are constructed from a single radial compressor and an axial flow turbine stage. The engines have an inbuilt electric starter motor for the start and cool down sequences. At maximum throttle our jetpack engines can spin over 60,000 rpm or 20,000 rpm at ground idle. The exhaust gas leaves the engine at about 1,300 degrees, which rapidly reduces as it mixes with cool ambient air. This process ensures the pilot experiences no discomfort in flight

How to Fly

Takeoff and control of our jetpack is made easy with our inbuilt flight stabilization technology.  Our patent pending control systems have been designed to automatically adjust for changes in fuel load during flight. This integrated stabilization and control system makes the jetpack easy to fly with incredible agility and maneuverability. An advanced computer pilot information display, fully developed in-house, provides all necessary information to the pilot. The left handle controls the spin. The right handle controls the throttle and thrust. Lean forward to move forward and gain speed. Lean back to slow down and eventually hover. Lean left and give left spin or lean right to turn.

Safety is First

Imagine carrying a tank of jet fuel on your back. Making this experience safe was one of our biggest challenges. Our design team looked at how the NASCAR racing industry cracked this problem and we found our solution. First we made the fuel tank shell out of an incredibly tough material, which instead of cracking will slowly deform.  Next, our engineers added an internal bladder, which contours the inside of the tank to minimize the amount of air remaining in the tank as fuel is used. The bladder is also extremely strong and flexible so that it resists rupturing if the tank hits the ground for any reason.

Buoyancy System

A custom designed automatic inflation system can be added to the airframe within 5 minutes for flights over water. If for any reason the jetpack hits the water, the buoyancy system will automatically inflate a heavy-duty float bag within seconds.

Fits in Your Trunk

The pilot backpack has a five point harness with dual quick release buckles for rapid, easy access. The jetpack arms fold to enable the machine to be stored and carried in a small case.

Why We Are Crowdfunding

We don’t believe you should have to be a multi-millionaire to own a jetpack and our goal is to make them affordable to the average car owner.  But improving our JetPack technology takes a lot of R&D.  It takes engineering time.  And manufacturing trials.  And lots and lots of testing and retesting.  The result is a more affordable, safer, easier to fly JetPack.  But that R&D also takes funding.  And while no individual can make a company happen by themselves, they can be a part of something big and important, that just may change the way we live in the future.

“I’d much rather have thousands of people invest a little bit then 10 people invest a huge amount. Jetpacks are a thing that appeals to everybody, so let’s get everybody involved.” - David Mayman

Which is why we are looking to raise $1 million. The funds we raise with your help will be used for research and development. Specifically:

  • Researching different versions of the jetpack to reduce the manufacturing cost

  • Developing a low-altitude parachute system for pilot safety

  • Exploring the possibility of  a flight airbag

  • Creating a training system and theme park where everyone can come to fly a jetpack

Since our inception, Jetpack Aviation has raised capital from savvy investors to efficiently design and build the JB10 prototypes. Previously, the founders invested their time and millions of dollars of their own money to design and test the JB1 through JB9 - this is not included in the investments to date.

Irregular Use of Proceeds

No intended irregular use of proceeds is reportable as none of the following examples will exceed $10,000: vendor payments and salary made to related parties, friends or relatives; any expense labeled “Administration Expenses” that is not strictly for administrative purposes; any expense labeled “Travel and Entertainment”; or any expense that is for the purposes of inter-company debt or back payments.

Our Business Plan

Jetpack Aviation is focusing on bringing the first Personal Flight vehicle to market. We plan to raise capital in multiple steps. The goal for this campaign is a maximum of $1,000,000. We are currently also raising money via Seedrs.com in the United Kingdom.

Product to Market

Before we bring the JB10 jetpack to market, our engineers will do everything possible to ensure the safety and comfort of our customers. Therefore, our next development goal is to add a rocket-launched parachute, which will protect the pilot in the unlikely case of a catastrophic failure.

International Expansion

Our first international market will be  Europe, where we plan to develop and license multiple jetpack distributors.  We will then begin developing the Asian market.

Business Development

The new jetpack industry will generate revenue from several independent streams.  We anticipate that initial revenue will come from both individual and corporate customers looking to rent or lease our JB10 jetpacks. Simultaneously with consumer sales, we will aggressively approach the worldwide military market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you work with the FAA?

We are actively working with the FAA and have a good relationship with them. Jetpacks are an entirely new form of aviation, just as drones were not long ago, so it is a very exciting time. Our current JetPack is classified by the FAA to be an ultra light aircraft, and therefore no registration or pilot’s license is required.

Can I fly one?

At this stage we are only offering training to people that purchase a jetpack. The training could be completed in Europe or California. Over the next 2 years we plan to offer training packages to people who would like to experience flying before buying as well as a one day "initial flight experience package". We will also be working with owners and operators of theme parks to add JetPack Top Gun experience centers to their existing theme parks.

Do you have any patents pending?

We have more than 15 claims under examination relating to elements ranging from control systems to airframe design.

Help Us Grow

Our motto is Onwards and Upwards. Everyday we take one more step up. Every day we get better. Some day people will be able to fly from home to work and back. It won’t be tomorrow, but it will be soon, and we will be there.

Where will you be?

An Australian pilot cruised casually over the River Thames in an actual goddamn jetpack on Wednesday, looking like a cross between an astronaut and the Rocketeer. David Mayman, a former commercial pilot from Australia, had been developing the jetpack for ten years with a team of engineers and designers, and is working to make a commercial version of the device available next year. And just to be clear, this was not one of those cheesy, water-propelled "jetpacks" made famous (or infamous) by Eastbound and Down-- this was an actual, jet engine-powered, honest-to-God jetpack, more like Boba Fett's than Kenny Powers'.

Updates

Happy July 4th - JetPack Aviation Activity Update

Hello to all our Investors.  I hope you had a happy and safe July 4th holiday.

We have been very busy at JetPack Aviation and I want to give you an update on our activities.

Navy SEAL Demonstration:

  • This past April, we conducted a second demonstration flight of our JB10 Jetpack for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). In addition to the demonstration flights, we had high level conversations with senior officers about other VTOL vehicles.  It was a great presentation and we are looking forward to growing our relationship with USSOCOM and the rest of the US Military.

New Pilot Training.

  • Part of our brief with the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) was to demonstrate the feasibility of rapidly training new JetPack pilots.  I am pleased to tell you we succeeded beyond our expectations in this endeavor.  Two JPA staff members (our Chief Engineer and our Operations Manager) both completed the training and executed flawless solo flights during the USSOCOM presentation.  Perhaps more impressively, our Navy SEAL liaison went from zero to 100 in absolute record time, and he too performed an impressive solo flight for the assembled military brass.

JB11-01

  • Our next generation JB11-01 prototype is nearing completion with test flights expected to begin this month.  The JB11-01 is powered by SIX jet turbine engines giving this next-gen JetPack significantly enhanced lifting power and greatly improved performance safety due to engine redundancy.  The JB11 class JetPacks will also be paving the way for a family of VTOL vehicles we are planning based on six and eight engine designs.

New Customers

  • We continue to receive JetPack purchase inquiries on a weekly basis from clients around the world.  Currently, we are in advanced discussions with governmental agencies in India and the Middle East to provide JetPacks for police and border control applications.  We also have a growing database of private buyers who are interested in purchasing our JetPacks.  These private buyers will be re-contacted when our low altitude zero/zero pilot recovery system is complete and market ready.

JetPack Experience Center

  • The public’s general fascination and love affair with JetPacks has never been stronger, and the number of people wanting to “try” a JetPack increases every day.  To address this very strong market demand, we have been working on a prototype “JetPack Experience Center” at which anyone can pay a modest fee, strap on an electric JetPack and give it a try.  Of course these one-time “pilots” will be JetPacking on a safety tether.  Anyone wishing to become a full fledged pilot will have the opportunity to continue lessons and step up to a full jet turbine model.  Lessons will continue until the student is proficient for a solo free flight.

We expect to begin our first prototype training course this year.  We will also be holding conversations with interested partners wishing to franchise JetPack Experience Centers

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

  • A coherent and practical set of FAA rules and guidelines is essential to making JetPack flight a real world reality.  To this end, JetPack Aviation has been working closely with the FAA to make JetPacks a recognized part of the Experimental Classification.  This is the first step to full integration in the FAA universe and will open the door to widespread adoption of JetPack flight and transportation.

These are just a few of the many exciting projects we are working on. I will continue to post updates from time to time.  Please visit us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/jetpackaviation) or go to our website (www.JetPackAviation.com) for regular news and updates.

We appreciate the faith in us you have shown so far, and we are working hard to continue earning your support.  Together we will build JPA into a great company leading the way in personal VTOL flight.

Thanks to all,

David Mayman

New Products / FAA Regulations / Annual Report

Hello everyone.  There is a lot going on at JetPack Aviation and I am happy to give you an update.  But first, thanks to all the investors who have given us their support as we build a new industry of personal VTOL solutions.

* New Products

We just returned from a demonstration of our technologies to the US military’s Strategic Operations Command (USSOCOM).   Of course our JB10 JetPack was the proof of our engineering team’s talent, but we also previewed two new personal VTOL vehicles: The JumpJet and the SHRPA.  The JumpJet is a stand-on platform most easily described as a flying Segway.  And the SHRPA (Self Hauling Remote Payload Apparatus) is a fully autonomous flying cargo vehicle.  Together with the JB10 JetPack and our electric BladeRunner “flying car”, these four vehicles form the foundation of our Vertical Take Off and Landing suite of products.

* JetPacks

Our JB11, six-engine JetPack will soon be ready for testing.  This very exciting new JetPack will deliver considerably more lifting power, making it ideal for rescue and delivery missions.  Also, our in-house designed on-board computers will be able to instantly re-distribute turbine thrust in the event of an engine anomaly.  This will greatly improve reliability and safety.

* Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

We continue to strengthen our relations with the FAA as we work to establish a practical set of guidelines for the commercial application of personal VTOL flight.  We are also working closely with FAA regulators to develop the technical standards for future personal VTOL vehicles.

* Annual Report

Investors are invited to review our most current Annual Report by going to www.JetPackAviation.com and clicking on the Annual Report link.  Direct access to the report is also available here:  http://bit.ly/2pFvwnZ

* Questions about your investment?

The StartEngine investment team is always available to answer any questions you may have about your Title III, CF investment.  Please send all inquiries regarding past investments made via the StartEngine platform to:  contact@startengine.com

* Stay up to date on the latest JPA news.

But we need your help to fund the development of a safety system and to improve our pilot training program.  So if you have been thinking about becoming an investor, now is the time to act.  Hope you join us.

JETPACK AVIATION COMPLETES WORLD’S FIRST COMMERCIAL JETPACK SALE

Undisclosed buyer pays $250,000 for delivery of production grade JB10 Jetpack

JetPack Aviation has announced the sale and delivery of the world’s first commercial jetpack.  The company, which designs and manufactures small, turbine powered VTOL jetpacks for military, industrial, and individual customers, is now offering its JB10 duel engine model at the retail price of $250,000.  Currently under contract with the US military, JPA is also receiving international government inquiries.

Company CEO David Mayman said, “We believe this sale is the definitive first step on the road to widely accessible Personal Flight Mobility.  Whether we are enabling the extraction of Special Forces soldiers, , moving emergency medics from hospital to disaster site, or commuters from home to office – JPA is focused on a wide range of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) transportation solutions. Our JB10 is designed to be a proof-of-concept and we are already working on several other long endurance aircraft including fully electric systems”.

JetPack Aviation made its first public demonstration flight around the Statue of Liberty in 2015 with full FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) authorization. Subsequent public flights were held in London, Monaco, and Los Angeles.   JPA is also offering sponsored promotional flights for corporations and events.

Said Principal Designer Nelson Tyler, “People have dreamed of individual flight for as long as we have looked to the sky.  Now, after decades of work and thanks to our extraordinarily talented staff, the dream of personal flight is a solid reality.

And it’s available for sale today.”

JETPACK AVIATION AND GEORGIA TECH RESEARCH INSTITUTE TO BUILD AN ADVANCED SOLDIER VERTICAL MOBILITY SYSTEM (SVMS).

A new Soldier Vertical Mobility System  (SVMS) will merge JetPack Aviation’s VTOL technology with advanced subsystems developed by Georgia Tech.

JetPack Aviation, the company that stunned the engineering and aviation communities with its first public jetpack flight around the Statue of Liberty in 2015 has entered into a development Agreement with Georgia Tech to design and build a Soldier Vertical Mobility System (SVMS) for military applications.

JPA, which is currently working with the US Navy under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) will provide its proprietary jetpack technology.  Georgia Tech will add advanced electronic subsystems for the new SVMS

JetPack Aviation senior staff recently hosted Georgia Tech team members at their headquarters in Van Nuys, CA where discussions took place regarding the development of an SVMS.

Under sponsorship from a GTRI Internal Research and Development grant, the early development stage has focused on three specific subsystems: an autonomous control system for an SVMS, a pilot exoskeleton, and a Heads-Up Display (HUD) helmet for the pilot. This multidisciplinary effort is bringing together efforts from the Georgia Tech Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering schools, the ATAS and ELSYS labs of GTRI, and JetPack Aviation.

After successful public demonstrations in New York, Los Angles, London, and Monaco, the JetPack Aviation team has begun an intensive development program towards extending their jetpack’s thrust and flight duration, as well as moving towards an all electric version.

Court Bivens and Michael Mayo of the ATAS lab at GTRI have been leading the project and coordinating the integration of all subsystems into the SVMS.

The joint SVMS team hopes to move forward by soliciting R&D funds from the U.S. military. Additional funding would enable Georgia Tech and JetPack Aviation to fully integrate the described subsystems into an SVMS and tackle issues such as survivability and reliability, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, and human factor disciplines.

Second Closing

After 5 business days, we will be conducting our second closing!

Jetpack Aviation has more than successfully reached our minimum funding goal and we're continuing to accept investments until March 31st, 2017. Per our offering terms and because our equity crowdfunding campaign has now exceeded the minimum funding goal, we will be conducting the 2nd closing in as soon as five days. We will be closing on all funds whose status is marked as "cleared" and therefore, those investors will be able to cancel their investment up until 48 hours prior to this new closing.

Once closed, we can deploy these funds and start implementing our ambitious growth plans. The equity crowdfunding path has been an outstanding journey for our management team, stakeholders and avid supporters. There is limited time left until the campaign officially ends, and we encourage you to promote the offering to your network.

Equity crowdfunding is all about building a community of passionate individuals around a single vision. We thank you for your continued support.

Help us build the future

Happy Holidays everyone! It’s no secret that Christmas and New Year are two of the busiest travel days of the year.

Did you visit your loved ones this past week? Did you drive? Did you fly? Did you take a bus? Just imagine if you could have travelled by jetpack. At JetPack Aviation, we are working towards a future when everyone can achieve safe, affordable personal flight.  And you can be part of that future by joining our crowdfunding campaign.

We already have built  the world’s only true, personal jetpack. Now, we are raising funds to:

  • Research different versions of the jetpack to lower the purchase price

  • Build a parachute system to ensure maximum pilot safety

  • Create a training system and jetpack theme park where everyone can experience the thrill of personal flight.

Each step we take brings us closer to the time when personal flight becomes a possibility for everyone.  So a Big Thanks to each of you who have already signed up to go on this journey with us.

For those of you who have not yet invested, please take a minute to watch this video and consider moving onward and upward with us.

JetPack flight in Long Beach, CA

To celebrate the launch of our equity crowdfunding campaign, we took a flight around the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.

The Queen Mary’s maiden voyage was in 1936 and worked as a troopship in World War II. But in her 80 years of service, she hasn’t seen anything like this.
