Víos Nutrition (Víos), a premium whole food, plant-based nutrition supplement company based in Winston-Salem, today announced that it has received a product license for its whole-food greens supplement PHYTE from the Minister of Health of Canada. The company is now licensed to sell, market and distribute its product throughout the country. Víos PHYTE is a whole-food greens product containing powerful cereal grasses and their essential vitamins, minerals and proteins that promote overall good health. Víos PHYTE’s proprietary green blend is rich in chlorophyll, which is vital for the synthesis and function of healthy oxygen-rich blood, boosting stamina and endurance. This blend of cereal grasses, spirulina, chlorella, and other greens contains essential enzymes and fiber that aid in digestion and help maintain healthy PH balance.

Víos is taking flight – and taking off! Víos Nutrition (Víos), a leading nutritional supplement company based in Winston-Salem, N.C., today announced that the company had surpassed $500,000 in total sales since its first shipment of the product May 18. The company announced reaching the $500,000 milestone on a conference call with its 263 Brand Partners across North America last week. All Víos products are marketed exclusively by these highly-trained, independent Brand Partners. Incredibly, the company has reached $500,000 in sales in just 166 days. Lori Patterson, vice president of marketing for Víos, credits the company’s success to the popularity of PHYTE, which is now available in 50 states, and will be introduced in Canada before the end of the year. “We are very pleased with the increasing popularity of PHYTE among health-conscious consumers,” Patterson said. “PHYTE is a great way for people of all ages to ensure they are getting their three servings of leafy green vegetables per day, and all of the benefits that provides the body. This product has connected well with our customers, and our Brand Partners have done a tremendous job of introducing it, encouraging trial and generating sales. We look forward to the continued growth of PHYTE.”
Two veterans of the direct sales nutritional world have launched Víos, a Winston-Salem-based company that is developing a line of nutritional supplements and products. The company was founded by Brock Agee and Joseph Land, two former executives with Nature’s Pearl Co. of Advance who left that company last year to start what’s become Víos. “We just really have a vision and a dream to bring truly healthy products to the market,” said Agee, formerly president of Nature’s Pearl, which sells nutritional supplements based on the muscadine grape. Víos hosted a launch event Saturday night at Graylyn International Conference Center in Winston-Salem to begin recruiting what the company is calling “brand partners” — those who will connect with customers to sell Víos products.
On Saturday, September 17, Víos Nutrition (Víos), asked the crowd of more than 200 at its Elevation sales conference in Winston-Salem a simple question – does your shake have the Matrix? This question was the culmination of the company’s first two-day sales conference and seminar, and served as the introduction of Matrix, its new, all-natural total nutrition shake. Víos’s Matrix is a complete, plant-based meal replacement shake with a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, omega-3 fatty acids, natural vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, branched chain amino acids and high quality fiber. Matrix is whey-free, with no added sugar, salt, synthetic vitamins or minerals, fillers or preservatives. It is also dairy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO and is verified organic by the USDA. Simply put, Matrix is unlike anything else on the market today. At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.
Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.
StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.
For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.
For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.
Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.
Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.
Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
