OVERVIEW

StrideTech Go is Making Walkers Smart

We have developed a technology that can turn any walker into a smart walker with the goal of preventing falls in older adults. We are bringing the walker, a technology that hasn’t changed in decades, into the 21st century.

We believe that StrideTech Go is uniquely primed to launch as a consumer electronic, speeding up our time to market, however, we envision StrideTech Go as the new standard of care for anyone who uses a walker. Our goal for this product is to be reimbursable as a Remote Patient Monitoring Device and real time fall assessment tool that is accessible to anyone.

We worry about your loved one falling so you don’t have to, providing peace of mind for family members and improved treatment capabilities for healthcare providers. Engineering is primed, manufacturing is ready and we have a MOU with a partner for distribution.

THE PROBLEM

Falls in Older Adults Currently Lack a Technology Solution

We believe there is relatively little awareness of the role that improper walker use plays in falls in older adults, despite the fact that it is a common, well-researched problem. For older adults, incorrect walker use often goes hand in hand with increased dependence on mobility devices, decreased mobility and falls.

Healthcare professionals also have concerns, including lack of insight into their patient’s mobility, a constant need to train/retrain their patients on walkers, patient re-injury and re-admittance, patient and family confusion and anger when a fall happens, and dissatisfaction with care.

Meanwhile, improper walker use can cause families of older adults to worry about their loved one’s mobility, feel uncertainty around their loved one’s health, and struggle with the transition from a family member to a caregiver.

Many of these problems have worsened since 2020, when Medicare reimbursement for Home Health changed from fee-for-service to outcome-driven. (Source) Because of this change, care providers are faced with decreased amounts of reimbursement treatment. Now, they are limited to just 6 visits while needing to maintain patient outcomes. We believe technology is the only way to fill this gap without losing money.

THE SOLUTION

Bringing Walkers into the 21st Century

StrideTech Go is a smart attachment universally compatible with any walker that detects common walker misuses that lead to falls and injury. When StrideTech Go senses excessive weight bearing and forward leaning posture, it provides immediate vibration feedback  through the walker handles to alert the user to these unsafe behaviors.

As a training tool, StrideTech Go can be utilized by families and healthcare professionals to improve walker use through real-time feedback and prevent behaviors which may lead to a fall.

g

In addition, StrideTech Go connects to an app that can be used by families and healthcare professionals to track progress and be alerted to unsafe trends in behavior. Our technology is research-backed, intuitive, teachable, and designed with the safety of the user in mind.

*The above graphic contains images of our beta app which is currently not available for general use

Innovators in the Walkers Business Model

StrideTech Go has the ability to turn walkers into a recurring revenue stream instead of a one-time purchase through subscriptions to our app. Our hybrid business model includes both hardware and subscription sales through B2C channels. Our B2B channels are still in the development phase. Our app, which is not available to the market yet, requires a one-time purchase directly within the app.

For our B2C sales, we will sell directly to older adults and their families online through our website and through retail channels (Durable Medical Equipment stores).

For B2B sales, we plan to target the home health market, outpatient rehab clinics, and physical therapy clinics.

Data collected by StrideTech Go has never been available before and will be extremely valuable to users, family members, PTs, care facilities, and others. In the long term, we see an opportunity for the aggregated data’s value to create new revenue streams for our company.

OUR TRACTION

Proprietary Technology and Strong Partnerships

g

Source

We have spent three years developing our proprietary technology, including the mechanical design and functionality of the product, the hip distance sensor, and the use of vibrotactile, visual, and auditory cues to provide handle feedback to the user on their individual walker.

We expect that our research partnership with Denver University’s Human Dynamics Laboratory will give us access to multi-million dollar lab equipment to clinically validate StrideTech Go and keep us on track to becoming a researched-backed medical device.

When we are ready to launch, our partnership with Modena Senior Living will allow for large scale testing. In addition, our anticipated partnership with MedCOR Professionals will be ready by the end of Q2 2022. We can test, conduct research, and distribute our technology with established partnerships.

THE MARKET

A Massive Market Fueled by a Growing Population

Americans over 50 spent $7.6 trillion on goods and services in 2018, this is projected to grow to $27.5 trillion by 2050. By 2030, they’re expected to spend over $200B annually on tech products. (Source) Meanwhile, the pandemic has made the industry transition very quickly to needing ways to remotely monitor and stay in touch with older adults. As a result, we find that senior care organizations no longer see technology as a nice-to-have but a necessity.

WHY INVEST

Helping Older Adults Stand Tall and Keep their Independence

g

(Source, Source)

We see smart walkers as the new standard for assistive technology.Integrated sensors can detect and predict falls, injuries, and alert healthcare professionals before problems become deadly.

StrideTech has spent over three years developing this technology and has finally reached a commercially viable product with a patent and trade secrets in place. Manufacturing has already been secured, so funds can go directly to building inventory for sale and large scale testing.

We are actively engaged in testing at senior living facilities and negotiating partnership agreements. In short, we are all set and ready to go. Join us as we set a new standard in a multi-million dollar industry and create better care for our loved ones as they age.

Have you generated any revenue yet? Do you have data on the Eaton test. What is your runway for the company. Have you got any grants from anyone or organization. In your view, what are you lacking to really get this to the next level. Is it awareness, lack of marketing? Also, any news on licensing to International distributors?? Thanks, Raj

Hi again, clarification question on your form C Can you expand on why the company accepted a $35k investment for 7% anti-dilution protection with no additional considerations. This business will need a lot of capital in the future to grow, and this decision doesn't seem to align with future investors; especially for such a low investment. Also, does this product need FDA clearance? If so, what stage are you in?

HI Stride Tech, Is this type of technology available anywhere in the world, for example in Europe? I would think the International market would be very lucrative, especially in Japan where something like 28% of the population or 35 million people are over 65. But I do realize America is a large market as well.

Hi, congrats and great business idea. Do you have and are you able to share any beta user surveys. Like what percentage would continue to use the product and would adjust behavior. I agree, sometimes if we know better we do better. But sometimes people are fine as-is, especially as we age.

DIVERSE INVESTMENTS

Invest in over 200 start-ups and collectibles!

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
