Reasons Icon

REVO Powertrains aims to be one of the leading providers of zero-emissions powertrain systems in the medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle market. With 10 issued patents and two pending, we believe we are one of the only companies offering a turnkey end-to-end product for electric RePower of commercial vehicles.

Reasons Icon

The market opportunity for medium- and heavy-duty powertrains is immense and the electrification of this segment is just starting to build and grow, driven increasingly by industry tailwinds such as regulation and incentives. We address trucks, vocational vehicles, and buses – in total a $400 billion global market – with an internally developed high-torque, high-efficiency Powertrain-in-a-Crate that means longer routes and lower fuel costs for fleet operators.

Reasons Icon

With our established leadership team and accomplished mechanical, powertrain, and software engineers, we’re powering the next generation of lighter, quieter, more efficient commercial fleets. We believe the time to electrify is now, and we’re ready to roll.

RePowering a new generation of lighter, quieter and more efficient vehicle fleets

Built on a tradition of quality systems engineering, REVO Powertrains represents a new era in vehicle propulsion, in our view.

We believe we provide one of the safest, most affordable zero-emission electric powertrains for all medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. We achieve this through our own intellectual property embodied in a zero-emission Powertrain-in-a-Crate kit which replaces the entire diesel powertrain in the commercial vehicle:

  •  e-Axle – 2 electric traction motors/generators + dual 4-speed gearbox
  • Two traction inverters
  • Battery pack with management/monitoring system
  • Vehicle dynamics control module
  • Integrated digital dash with telematics
  • All associated wiring harnesses and bracketry

We estimate that in the US alone, there are more than 1 million vehicles that could be RePowered with our solution, according to our internal research.

The Problem & our solution

Electrifying diesel fleets with a revolutionary zero-emission powertrain

While medium- and heavy-duty trucks only make up 4% of the total vehicle population, they create 25% of the pollution. Our RePower platform converts diesel/gas medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses into the cleanest, safest, and most efficient electric vehicles on the road, in our view.  Our Powertrain-in-a-Crate drops right into existing chassis similar to the current process of replacing diesel engines and transmissions.

With REVO, customers have a solution to electrify their already existing fleets at a much lower cost and faster than waiting for new electric vehicle deliveries. For example, industry knowledge indicates that fleet customers today are paying more than $400,000 and waiting longer than 12 months for a new medium-duty electric vehicle delivery truck. (source)

REVO leverages our high-efficiency and high-torque powertrain platform to build kits that meet fleet customers’ demanding needs with no sacrifice in performance, relative to diesel.

We feel we offer a compelling value proposition to customers who will save on their total cost of ownership (TCO) with lower fuel and maintenance costs. Our business model involves selling kits directly to commercial vehicle customers via existing dealerships and service centers, which will also provide RePower services and maintenance with industry-standard warranties.

Why Invest

Join us in revolutionizing the way that commercial fleet owners transition to electric vehicles

The medium- and heavy-duty truck and bus industry is undergoing a transition to zero-emission electric vehicles. While there are some new electric commercial vehicles available in the market, we believe there are limited solutions to RePower the large number of vehicles currently on the road. By upcycling existing vehicle chassis with the REVO solution, fleets can transition faster and begin saving fuel and maintenance costs sooner.

Governments have become increasingly active in mandating the transition to zero-emissions commercial vehicles while also providing significant incentives that will directly benefit REVO and our customers. We have highlighted details on existing incentives in the “The Market & Our Traction” discussion above.

REVO aims to be the first large scale manufacturer of Powertrain-in-a-Crate kits that we will sell to dealers and service centers. Our business model involves making margins on product sales as well as providing software as a service (SaaS) subscriptions for telematics data that delivers valuable powertrain and vehicle performance insights to fleet operators.

We feel our offering is unique, as our RePower solution leverages existing vehicles, saving fleet operators money with a turnkey end-to-end solution. Our higher-torque, more-efficient powertrain saves fleet owners money while ensuring the drivers can complete their routes. As a key technology provider, we have developed our own zero-emission electric powertrain technology and hold 10 patents with 2 pending.

The REVO leadership team has deep experience spanning OEMs like Tesla, Volvo Trucks, Zero Motorcycles, General Motors, Mack Trucks, SEA Electric and ChargePoint. We are highly motivated and ready to roll!

*The above are computer images of existing demo products. Product is still under development and not yet in serial production.

It’s clear we’re dreaming big at REVO, and we’re on the road to greener solutions for all. Invest today and let’s electrify the road!

An Acceleration to Zero Emissions Future...

Last week the Environmental Protection Agency ‘EPA’ finalized the heavy-duty truck emissions standard. The new rule starts with model year 2027 and is up to 80% stronger than the current standard. We believe it’s great news for REVO and a significant push to accelerate zero emissions truck technology adoption. This is the 1st of 3 major actions being taken under the ‘EPA’s Clean Trucks Plan’. For more information, click on the EPA’s press release link below.

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
