REASONS TO INVEST

We are one of the few companies providing usable power for both urban and austere environments through hybrid renewable energy technology combining wind, solar, and batteries. We are also developing our further patented solutions for rooftop and other specialty installations.

Our technology has significant applications across multiple markets: portable public safety power, humanitarian and disaster relief power, and power for the 1 billion people worldwide who currently lack access to electricity.

We are preparing the next generation to bring renewables forward through our educational training products and tools, including an approved curriculum for 4th-12th grades with teacher’s guides and capstone products.

Overview

100% Renewable Hybrid Power Systems

P
rimo Energy is on a mission to change the way the world uses energy harvesting nature’s power to benefit communities everywhere.

At Primo, we design and manufacture 100% renewable hybrid wind, solar, and battery storage energy systems equally applicable in the center of urban settings and the edge of the grid.

We specialize in power systems with a small footprint that can be easily erected, moved, and serviced for reliable and resilient energy needs.

We are already selling a number of powerful products that incorporate wind, solar and batteries for a complete nanogrid operation. We are also developing additional products that are tested and patented but are not in production yet.

The Problem

Current Renewable Energy Solutions Fall Short of their Potential

Harnessing the power of renewable energy has never been more important, but current solutions typically focus entirely on one source of energy, and are designed for exclusive use in either urban or remote settings.

In order to truly plug into nature, we need real, usable hybrid power in a small or portable package that can be used virtually anywhere.

The Market

Providing Power to Multiple Massive Markets

Through the versatility of our technology, we are able serve several markets:

  • The school/university market, which is projected to grow to $2.5 billion by 2023 (Source)

  • The distributed generation market, valued at $242.6 billion in 2019 and growing at 11.5% per year. (Source

  • The urban and public safety market, valued at $14.61 billion as of 2020 (Source).

* Source, Source, Source

Smaller sizes in the 400-500W range don’t provide enough power to be meaningful, and larger 10kW systems require too much space to fit on rooftops or in urban environments.

Our 2-5kW power range is small enough to fit into urban uses while providing enough power for the typical Caribbean home.

The Solution

Making Renewable Energy Accessible Everywhere

Our product was developed to provide off grid distributed generation with widespread applications, from remote and underdeveloped areas to disaster relief to campuses, parks, and schools.

We started by developing a patented blade and rotor system to make wind energy more efficient. Soon after, we realized the best way to keep batteries charged was with a combination of wind and solar.

Now, our system uses wind and solar to charge batteries for many uses including lighting, device charging, cameras, wifi extension and more. Using this technology, we have developed a number of revolutionary products:

EnergiTree

The EnergiTree is perfectly suited for remote locations, farms, disaster relief, and military expeditionary use.

The EnergiTree provides adequate power for a small home, day or night. The 1800W generator is built with a 72" thermoplastic biomimetic patent pending rotor design along with 4 solar leaves generating 480W.

Primo’s innovative and patented torque based blade and rotor design provides real usable power in the common wind speeds of 5-15 mph and has already been proven in the Arctic and the Caribbean.

Additional features include:

  • Hybrid wind and solar for most consistent power supply
  • Proprietary torque generator
  • Completely sealed/protected copper stator and magnetic rotor sealed against dust and moisture to IP 66 and IP 67 standards
  • Powerful yet flexible thermoplastic blade
  • Cantilevered pole design allowing for easy installation, servicing, and lowering in times of extreme weather

Common plantings for the EnergiTree include off-grid homes, resorts, parks, campgrounds, farms, parking lots, and more.

FORCE

The Force is the future of urban wind farming. Installed along the parapet

wall, the Force 1650R turns the roof of a commercial or industrial structure into an urban wind farm.

The low height and weight of our design make the Force 1650R compatible with nearly every parapet style roof.

Our patented biomimetic blades, rotor design and torque turbine produces whisper-quiet power in common wind speeds.

With a small footprint, the Force 1650R can produce an abundance of standalone power or work in tandem with rooftop solar without interfering with HVAC operation or maintenance.

The versatile FORCE turbine is perfect for adding efficient renewable energy to commercial rooftops for urban wind farming, military expeditions, disaster relief, and more, in any location with moderate to strong wind regimes.

EnergiPlant

The EnergiPlant is a free-standing nanogrid combining wind, solar and batteries to provide security, WiFi, lighting, and charging for phones and tablets.

Patented EnergiPlant design is perfect for community settings, easily installed at the beach, in a park, a concert venue, a school, university campus, or corporate campus.

The benches also offer the opportunity for community messaging or advertising along the bottom similar to bus benches. With potentially 6 or more sides for advertising, the EnergiPlant could pay for itself in 12-18 months with ongoing revenue for the city, community, or university.

The EnergiPlant is perfectly suited for parks, schools, universities, stadiums, and other community locations.

EnergiSeedling

The EnergiSeedling is designed for students grades 4-12 to assemble the units from blueprints to gain a better understanding of the importance of microgrid and nanogrid systems for applications all over the world.

Along with the teachers guide and capstone projects, we provide classrooms with an integrated NGSS-aligned, student-centered curriculum. We provide a hands-on, minds-on approach for STEM, STEAM, CTE Engineering pathways, makerspaces and traditional classrooms.

Through our curriculum, students learn about wind power, solar power, energy storage, inverters & converters, and device electricity consumption.

Our Journey

We began with working with the US Navy, followed closely by EnergiPlant orders from parks and universities.

In 2018, we participated in Peace Tech Lab's accelerator program and also won the Most Innovative Product Award from Connect. We are also part of the Smart Transportation Innovation Program and the Southern California Energy Innovation Network.

We launched our sales effort in 2019, and despite the subsequent coronavirus pandemic we were still able to win a Phase 1 and Phase 2 AFWERX SIBR. We recently won another Phase 1 SIBR.

Now in 2021 sales that were in the pipeline from 2019 are coming back in with recent delivery and orders to a beach park in Florida, a multi unit order from a developer in San Diego and many new orders from school districts for our Seedling.

We recently started selling to the Bahamas, Barbados, and Jamaica.

Why Invest

Harnessing Renewable Energy for a Cleaner Future

We are and will continue to be the leader in smaller power platforms in the 2-5kW sector.

In the future, we also plan to grow into other areas in the renewable energy space with tremendous potential. We are about to start our first project in commercial wind farming, and we are in the prototype phase of a wave energy project.

We are a diversified renewable energy company with patented products, forward looking with design and engineering capabilities, and a proven track record with patents, awards, and sales.

Join us as we plug into nature and build a future powered by renewable energy.

I am excited by this, especially for its implications for rural areas in developing countries, so you have plans to distribute these to Africa? If so, how can one get involved if one is interested,

Love the mission. Why hasn't urban wind energy caught on yet like solar has and what are you doing differently to change that? Who are your main competitors and how does your wind turbine compare to theirs? What was you revenue for 2021? Thanks

Hello,  I set out on StartEngine this evening to move forward with investing the minimum amount in a medical-related company that I had put on my wishlist a month ago.  I decided to look around.. I don't have a lot to invest but looked at all current possibilities on StartEngine and yours won out and became my fourth investment on StartEngine--adding to three I had become part of a month ago. I can't give you the exact reason I chose Primo Energy over the approximately 10 others I picked out as contenders this evening, but I know what one of the reasons was--approximately 10 years ago I drew up plans for hybrid systems such as yours. Mine all had a key feature that yours appear to have--they looked like statues and/or pieces of modern art. I felt this would increase their desirability and even possibly lead people to install them in their yards just for the cool factor--with the fact that they are getting energy from it a huge plus! Long story short, the photos of your units reeled me in to looking at what you do. I may be of assistance to you, as well (I'm not rich and am stuck in a mundane job at 55, but I know a few people): -I am very good friends with a gentleman who, up until a year or so ago, was the VP of Sales for North America for Trina Solar: https://www.trinasolar.com/us. This gentleman also has patents for wind turbines, so, he is also both a solar and wind guy (as well as other renewable energy technologies). If you are interested in communicating with Trina Solar or him, let me know. (He also has/had ties with Whirlpool Corporation and many other large companies.) -I am very good friends with one of the family members of the family that owns and runs Inovaetus Solar: https://inovateus.com/. They do solar installations around the country (Ikea warehouses, Shedd Aquarium, and many, many more). Again, if you are interested in talking with him/them, let me know. (I introduced him to my friend mentioned above.)  -I have fallen out of contact with the CEO of the following company, but I believe he doesn't hate me, so I can most likely get you in contact with him or his company if you are interested: Ambassador Enterprises: https://ambassador-enterprises.com/Among Ambassador's holding are Correct Craft (Nautique Wake Boats) and American Landmaster. Whether you are interested in being introduced to those mentioned above or not, I am excited to have an investment in your company!  Barry

Hi. I have a few questions for you. 1. What is your intended use of cash raised? 2. Who on the team is handling marketing and sales? I didnt notice anyone listed with a title related to marketing and sales. I think this is a really interesting business and could see municipalities and schools having a real interest. 3. Is it possible to connect your system to something like a Tesla wall or other walled battery system to create a micro grid of sorts?

Suggestion for you... and I'd be happy to be your first trial application. Why don't you look at a consumer product (your spark) that would install on the top of a boat dock. Not all boat docks have power, and getting power across the water is always a problematic and safety concern. I have looked into the space and see a potential market for this.

DIVERSE INVESTMENTS

Invest in over 200 start-ups and collectibles!

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
