Reasons Icon

The Organic Candy Factory is uniquely positioned to tap into multiple market sectors. Reasons Icon

Having been in business for twelve years, The Organic Candy Factor has been able to establish a solid model for profitability while also securing prestigious partnerships. We have gained distribution in major market outlets, been invited to premium trade association events, received celebrity endorsements, and garnered other word-of-mouth opportunities that have driven organic growth.

Creating a Candy Anyone Can Enjoy

When 5-year-old animal lover and entrepreneur Ginger first decided to move on from her organic lemonade stand and open a candy store, her mother Piper was supportive and ready to do whatever necessary to help her succeed. Yet, there was just one problem – most candy options on the market are full of toxins, artificial flavors, and chemical dyes, with many containing gelatin, an animal-derived byproduct.

So together they worked to source organic ingredients, build their brand, and offer a better option to satisfy your sweet tooth. Since then, Ginger’s concept has caught the attention of candy lovers nationwide, with the brand being tapped to supply numerous household name outlets

The Problem & Our Solution

The Candy Industry is Craving Healthy Innovation

While candy has been a long-time staple of readily available treats you might pick up at the store, the world is moving towards healthier eating habits. Recent studies show that consumers - and in particular Gen Z - are becoming more conscientious about the foods they purchase, gravitating more towards options that are organic, plant-based, and free of additives including processed sugar. Additionally, many children and adults aren’t able to enjoy most candy due to allergies to food dyes, dairy, gluten, and other dietary intolerances.

For anyone looking to savor a sweet treat without compromising a healthy lifestyle, The Organic Candy Factory offers a solution. Our candy is completely free of gelatin, gluten, pesticides, artificial preservatives, corn syrup, GMOs, and the top 8 allergens. It’s also made using USDA certified-organic ingredients including organic, unprocessed, & unbleached cane sugar, as well as carrot, and blueberry extracts, for creating delicious, colorful candy without all the questionable chemicals.

The Market & Our Traction

Prestigious Partnerships, Celebrity Endorsements, & an Untapped eCommerce Sales Channel

Although The Organic Candy Factory started as a small mother-daughter passion project, it quickly became apparent that our concept had mass potential. Shortly after the brand launched online, orders started coming in.

The Organic Candy Factory was approached by Los Angeles’ iconic Fred Segal stores to carry the products and shortly after, while selling her organic gummy bears to raise money for endangered manatees at a local farmer’s market, Ginger’s mission caught the attention of a global brand strategist for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf stores. Another key partnership was formed and since then, numerous other outlets have followed suit, including Williams-Sonoma, The Waldorf-Astoria, Macy's.com, Walmart.com, Pressed Juicery, Coffee Bean, and more.

Sales were growing steadily leading into 2020, and even with a limited online presence, we have successfully weathered the pandemic and are once again ticking upwards. At this stage, The Organic Candy Factory’s signature product, Mixed Berry Cubs, has proved its profitability, although growing interest from stores and distribution channels exceeds our present inventory. With additional funding, our brand has an opportunity to accommodate more orders, expand offerings, refine our marketing strategies, and optimize our e-commerce operations to realize yet more untapped potential.

Why Invest

Let’s Treat The World To Something Better

At The Organic Candy Factory, we believe that moms and kids of all ages have waited long enough for a healthier candy option, and given our traction thus far, it would seem that consumers agree.

As we continue to expand as a company, investors will be pivotal in taking The Organic Candy Factory from a modest mother-daughter operation to a widely available brand. Please help us meet the need for our high-quality, ethical, organic, and tasty treats by supporting us today!

DIVERSE INVESTMENTS

Invest in over 200 start-ups and collectibles!

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
