mJoose is FCC-approved, MFi-certified ("Made for iPhone"), and has won six CES Innovation awards for its technology. After a pilot launch on Amazon and other eCommerce sites* where we sold over 3,000 units with very little marketing spend, MoJoose is ready to capitalize on the great traction the product has seen as we officially start taking the mJoose case to market.

*Pilot launch was active from 2016-2020

The Problem

With 5G Imminent, Higher Signal Speeds Will Reduce Signal Strength

Anyone who owns a smartphone has experienced the frustration of having a weak signal or a dropped call. Whether it’s a parking garage, subway, remote area, or just a home residence with poor reception, dropped calls and slow data speeds are a nuisance that plague smartphone owners every day.

(source)

Not to mention, as the 5G cell network technology matures, smartphone users may find having a reliable cell signal to be difficult in parts of the country with limited access to 5G cell towers. While many will see an increase to the speed with which their smartphone receives data when receiving good cell service, 5G's shorter wavelength frequencies will require more dedicated cell signal infrastructure to maintain a strong cell signal. (source)

The Solution

An All-in-One Smartphone Case That Amplifies Your Cell Signal

The mJoose case features built-in signal-amplifying technology that delivers a more reliable cellular connection with every call. Embedded into the phone case itself, our design team engineered a way to include a commercial-grade signal enhancer system into the form factor of a snug-fitting case that works in harmony with the phone.

*Product shown is the mJoose case sold during pilot launch.

To achieve this signal boost, the mJoose case receives a low level cellular downlink signal from the cell tower through its passive receive antenna and amplifies that signal with a very low power, low noise amplifier (LNA). This now-amplified signal is then wirelessly coupled to the phone’s internal antenna. The product does not transmit cellular signals back to the cell tower.

So how does the mJoose case reduce radiation? When your smartphone receives a signal from a cell tower, the tower's connection starts to provide a specific direction (referred to as a “handshake”) to your smartphone's hardware so the phone knows how much uplink cellular power needs to be expended for the communication to take place. It is that power expenditure that has been cited as the primary source of radiation to the body from smartphones. The patented technology inside the mJoose case redirects the signal and radiation away from the body. The mJoose case has been proven via third-party SAR testing to reduce RF radiation by an average of 70%.

*Product shown is the mJoose case sold during pilot launch.

In addition to these safety and reliability benefits, the mJoose case also has a built-in 2500 mAh battery extender. Functional with both iPhone or Android devices, users can add an extra 100% of battery life to their phone, all at a speed 2.5x faster than traditional charging via wall outlets.

The Market

An Addressable Market of More than 6.6 Billion Smartphone Users

With over 6.6 billion smartphone users worldwide, mJoose has the potential to disrupt one of the largest addressable markets in the world. As the number of smartphone users continues to rise, that growth is also mirrored in the smartphone case market. Globally, the smartphone battery case market had an estimated value of $5.4 billion in 2020, and is projected to reach $9.7 billion by 2027.

(sourcesource)

The mJoose case was designed with universal application in mind, and as such, it can work on virtually all smartphones. This device agnostic approach gives us further flexibility to tackle this multi-billion dollar industry.

Further still, as more countries begin to implement 5G, MoJoose plans to capitalize on these international markets with our breakthrough, proprietary technology.

Our Traction

FCC-Approved, Apple MFi-Certified, and Winner of 6 CES Innovation Awards

We couldn’t be more excited about the early traction the mJoose case has received. To date, we have raised over $7 million and have completed technology development, regulatory certifications, and have even received Apple’s MFi ("Made for iPhone") certification. This certification is particularly notable, as this means Apple has authorized MoJoose to produce officially recognized third-party accessories for their devices after a strict series of tests and requirements to assess eligibility.

*Product shown is the mJoose case sold during pilot launch.

MoJoose holds a strong portfolio of IP, with 10 granted patents and one pending patent for our breakthrough mJoose technology. We have also won six CES Innovation Awards, an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.

We have already sold over 3,000 mJoose units and generated over $300,000 in revenue through a pilot launch on Amazon and other eCommerce sites* - all with very little marketing spend. Our product has garnered a slew of fantastic reviews from our initial Amazon customers, and we have also received great feedback from notable publications such as CNET and Huffington Post

*Pilot launch was active from 2016-2020

During the course of this pilot launch, we were able to develop the offshore manufacturing needed for our official commercial release. After a lengthy testing & certification process and following some setbacks at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, MoJoose is now expecting an official launch of the mJoose case following the close of this campaign.

Daniel, 2 big things I noticed- 1a) did you raise 2 mil or did the notes come due dec 2022? 1b) Mjoose doesn't have liquid assets to cover these notes... so now what- is Mjoose in default or in talks to settle this or? 2) What made you give up more than majority stake/50%? Seeing the viability of the patent portfolio and knowing ownership structure, are you focused more on being acquired/selling the ip portfolio or do you have another focus in mind for maximizing shareholder value and what is the timeline on reaching these milestones?

Great idea, great product, and too good to not be knocked out. Surprised and not surprised that you've only raised $120k so far this round because of the fact that I believe you will be knocked off. How are you going to compete with this and protect your company and products? Very interested as an investor, and my only concern is protecting the companies growth amongst a vicious and competitive market that knocks off products left and right- the electronics/accessories markets. Can you speak to this? The more detailed analysis/explanation would help me get of this hurdle of future competition.

What are the licensing plans for the patents outside the initial product? How is MJoose exploring integration partnerships with Apple's & Amazon's home products, other company's security system connectivity, such as Start engine's Wigl where the patents are also driving sales and getting the product into the market faster that the phone products?

1. What is the case material? Does it offer protection for the phone in addition to the obvious features? 2. Will it be marketed directly or thru distribution? 3. Will the launch be available worldwide or US entry first? 4. I haven't seen any additional information other than what is on SE and MJ website. Does it have charge port access? 5. Does the case have an independent power source or does it use the phones battery for power and amplification? Or does it even require power to enable all the features? thank you 4.

What year(s) did you receive the CES Innovation Awards? Jeremy Monrow, listed as VP Engineering shows he was an employee of Mjoose back in 2016. Is he still an employee? Similarly, Robert Legendre, listed as COO shows he is 'officially retired' on his LinkedIn profile, not COO. Is he still an employee or just a board member?

FAQS
Crowdfunding

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
