Delivering Great Robotic Experiences

We’ve taken the first step toward bringing urban service robots (think R2D2) into everyday life by creating an AI robot named “Dax”: Dax robots run on DaxOS, our own patented operating system that’s designed to be able to handle the uncontrolled environments that these robots will face. Our first Dax is working with our partners to enable last-mile delivery to branch out into new industries by making it cost-effective. Invest, and help us challenge the world of robotics!

REASONS TO INVEST

New Operating System: Dax operates on DaxOS, a patented new kind of operating system for robots that allows them to fluidly prioritize and complete tasks in uncontrolled environments. In all Daxbot already holds 5 fully filed US patents.

Growing Market: Our first AI service robot is optimized for food delivery, a market segment that is projected to grow by 6X from 2020 ($42B) to 2027 ($259B). We’re using autonomy to pave a way to keep delivery costs low and allow this market to expand into new industries while providing stable, long-term jobs. Dax went into production in 2021 and is already in use working for our Oregon delivery partners.

Experienced Team: Daxbot was founded by Joseph and Kevin Sullivan, who have started several successful companies including Active911, which is now used by over 40% of emergency services personnel in the United States alone. Daxbot’s founding team has 100+ years of combined experience in electronics, software engineering, communications, and robotics.

Overview

Who is Dax?

Dax is an AI Service Robot that was designed to help people with their daily lives, starting with delivery. We want to see interactive AI robots like Dax in every town across America.

We have designed Dax to be both functional and personable.

Delivery Problem

Last Mile Delivery is the most expensive component of the supply chain

With this high and ever-increasing demand coupled with expanding labor shortages; the need for multiplying human effort through robotic delivery has come to the forefront.

Our Solution

Autonomy: Dax POV

Dax robots are overseen by quality control operators: The more autonomously Dax can operate the higher the bot to operator ratio can go. We’re working to achieve 10:1 autonomy by the end of 2022

In the GIF above you can see autonomous driving from Dax's POV: the arrows indicate the status of the path that Dax is driving, with yellow meaning “caution required" and the green meaning "safe".

Dax Delivery Capabilities

Business Model

We have engaged with clients through two initial revenue streams:

Robot as a Service (RaaS) Subscription

Businesses rent our delivery service from us at an average of $2,000 a month per robot.

Event Marketing

Marketing and event agencies can have Dax be part of their client experience for $3,000 a day per robot.

Our Traction

  • Over $1.6M and 5 years invested in R&D to create Dax
  • 5 fully filed US patents
  • 20+ robots produced
  • Dax in use by customers in Georgia and Oregon
  • Customer-Centric Product: From visiting the school of the blind to researching what it means to be ‘seen’, nothing about Dax has been done without careful consideration for its effect on people.

Experience and Expertise

Daxbot was founded by Joseph (LinkedIn) and Kevin Sullivan (LinkedIn), brothers who helped revolutionize tech for emergency responders. They have set out to do the same on an even larger scale for robotics.

Joseph and Kevin also founded Alyrica, Nova Dynamics, and Mammoth Corporation together.

Jason Richards came onto the Daxbot team in 2021 to help with the growth and commercialization effort to introduce Dax to the world. Jason was previously the CEO of FFRS.

Along with our team of engineers, operators, technicians, and whatever it is that the rest of us do, Jason and the Sullivan brothers are ready to do something new in the world of robotics.

Why Invest?

Everything new is first adopted by a courageous set of outliers: the people who create the future are those who are willing to try something new.

The need and the tech are there for a whole new generation of robots, and we have an opportunity to make the difference and create the next wave of the future. Invest, and help us challenge the world of robotics.

Closing Soon! - A Deeper Look at DaxOS

One of the most exciting things about Dax isn't just that he is a friendly robot; but how we brought Dax to life through DaxOS. In broad terms, there are a few steps we envisioned to move into the robotic future:

1) Create and patenet a new 'operating system' for robots that allows them to fluidly prioritize and complete tasks in uncontrolled environments. - DONE

2) Create a friendly looking robot that we believe will be more widely accepted across a variety of demographics. - DONE

3) Create turn-key business models using Dax and DaxOS. - IN PROGRESS

We envision an exciting future with Dax! You can learn more about DaxOS here.

Final Week to Invest in Dax!

Our first crowdfunding investor raise will be closing soon! We've made significant progress in our business goals, and we'd like to thank you for helping us get this far!

Since launching this round we've more than doubled Dax's autonomy (how many Dax can be overseen by one Crew Commander), introduced AI interactions Lv 1, and launched a new delivery and pick-up platform that's given us an additional revenue stream.

We can't wait to take Dax to new cities! Thanks for joining us on this quest, and if you'd like to be part of this crowdfunding round, now's the chance to invest!

07.19.22

Launching Subway!

We just launched our Philomath Subway on our Dax Delivery portal! Now people can use the platform to order ahead and pick-up subway, or get it delivered in city limits! Let's Dax! This should put even more of our Philomath robots to work in the following weeks, and brings our list of Philomath partners to five local businesses launched on our delivery portal in the past 7ish weeks!

07.15.22

Another New Philomath Business Partner!

We just added and launched Dirt Road Brewing on our Philomath delivery portal! This is four businesses in the past 6 weeks since launching on May 31st, and we're working on our next addition.

The more new Philomath businesses we add, the more convenient the portal is for Philomath. Locals can use it to get Dax deliveries, or anyone can use it for pick-up! It's been exciting to see all of the Dax running around Philomath making deliveries! This morning I stopped by Timber Towne Coffee and spotted a small boy and his mother who had dropped by to check in with one of their local Dax crews.

A few things. I am a student at the University of Kentucky, and as of Fall of 2021, a company called "Starship" made very similar robots for a similar purpose. They have been a massive success. Ironically, only seconds prior to writing this, I was curious if they had any place to invest in them. I was pleased to tune into here and see this company just now launching. I say that for the interesting story, but also because they have been such a success, I think this and similar companies have tons of potential. As far as questions, When do you plan to officially roll out for delivery? What was the big jump in revenue from?

Building robots that mimic and looks like humans, are offensive. Thank you for realizing that and instead building a robot that looks like and behaves like, a tool. This is interesting.

Just saw a Reddit post that somebody saw a room service delivery bot at AC Hotels Marriot in San Francisco. Maybe Daxbot could get in on that?

How will Daxbot handle crossing roads, cross walk signals, etc.? Beside robot personality, is there anything that sets you apart from Starship which already seems to have established themselves in campuses around the country? I am guessing there is a video somewhere I have missed, but when you say personality, what do you mean? How does Dax interact and display his personality? Thanks, Chris

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
