GET A PIECE OF BLENDID
We've raised over $26 Million and sold over 100k smoothies in retail stores, universities, and travel centers, as well as hospital and Walmart locations with co-branded Jamba locations in California and Georgia.
We have a commercial agreement with Jamba to expand and deploy “Jamba by Blendid” kiosks across the country and received a strategic investment from Focus Brands, the parent of Jamba, to scale our manufacturing and operations nationwide.
Our proprietary contactless, food-safe, and NSF-certified technology is poised for increased market adoption in the post-COVID world. In 2022, we tripled the number of our locations, increased revenue by 267% from 2021, and contracted over 500 kiosks. Our AI-driven platform is comprehensively protected by 13 patents granted or in-process.

the pitch
At Blendid, we build robotic and AI-enabled food automation solutions. Our first product, a fully autonomous robotic kiosk, crafts healthy and delicious smoothies that are made fresh-on-demand and customized to individual taste and nutrition preferences. We currently operate smoothie kiosks in universities, travel centers, retail stores, and a hospital in collaboration with world class food service operators including Jamba, Sodexo, and Compass Group. Now, we are ready to scale operations to achieve our mission of making fresh, healthy food more personalized and accessible.
Fresh and healthy options always seem limited when we’re in a hurry. Our mission is to give consumers fresh, healthy, and personalized food options on the go through a contactless, safe, and all-digital experience.
We designed our compact, accessible robotic food kiosk to empower operators to meet consumer demand for fast, healthy, affordable food options with greater consistency and lower overhead than traditional food service models. Our rockstar team of leaders and advisors bring together expertise in technology, business, and culinary spaces to build our field-proven operating and hardware system that works with very high uptime and is already in market serving customers.
The Problem
People generally want to eat healthy, provided they can find options that also taste great and are easy on their wallets. However, it’s challenging to get affordable, delicious, healthy food on the go. That’s because it’s usually either unavailable where and when they need it, too expensive, or not in line with their taste preferences.
At the same time, operators face their own set of challenges, including rising food costs, hiring challenges and wage increases, and increased demand for healthy, affordable food (source, source source). Covid-19 has added additional pressures, including the need for contactless ordering, assembly, and delivery.
Our Solution
Our compact, autonomous, contactless robotic food kiosk can be installed in a wide range of locations to provide 24/7 fresh food service at low operational costs. By deploying cutting-edge robotic technology in an 8x8 foot kiosk, we give consumers access to healthy, affordable, and delicious food anywhere and anytime.
Blendid’s design optimizes the consumer experience and maximizes operator effectiveness. Our vision algorithms continuously learn and adapt to recognize ingredients, recipes, levels, and consumer preferences, ensuring that errors are eliminated even across diverse operating environments.
We have 13 design patents awarded or in progress for software-driven food preparation and cloud-driven distributed IoT management. Our Food Operating System, foodOS® uses AI and machine learning algorithms to self-configure, calibrate, multitask and error recover while delivering a consistent recipe every time. Our Chef Operating System, chefOS® allows chefs to create new recipes using an AI-assisted engine to guide them while dynamically computing the nutritional profile of those recipes. And our Restaurant Management System (RMS®) provides a full suite of provisioning, monitoring, and analytics tools to manage and operate kiosks remotely.
For the consumer, Blendid’s kiosk experience goes like this:
Order at the kiosk on a tablet or ahead of time on the app
Select and customize your food order
Receive a notification when food is ready, approximately 3 minutes after ordering
Retrieve your food (safely stored inside the kiosk after being prepared)
All ingredients are either refrigerated or flash frozen to maintain freshness and optimal taste. Blendid uses only real, whole fruits, vegetables, and other nutrient-rich ingredients.
The Market
Covid-19 has spurred significant, rapid changes in the food industry. While this reality has been challenging, it has also created a lot of opportunity for food service providers.
In fact, the food robotics market is projected to reach $4 billion by 2026, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.1% worldwide (source). In the US alone, Blendid has identified over 70,000 locations where the company's current offering is poised to bring value and capture market share.
Meanwhile, consumers increasingly seek out food that is not only cost-effective but also fresh and healthy.
OUR TRACTION
In 2022, we expanded to 9 locations, increased revenue by 267% from 2021, and contracted over 500 kiosks. We have previously raised $26 million from various institutional and retail investors.
We signed a commercial agreement with Jamba to expand and deploy “Jamba by Blendid” kiosks across the country in various types of commercial locations. We also received a strategic investment from Focus Brands, the parent of Jamba, to scale our manufacturing and operations nationwide.
Meanwhile, our operating relationships with Sodexo and Compass Group could bring Blendid kiosks to a wide range of food service locations, including colleges, hospitals, fitness centers, corporate offices, airports, shopping malls, and entertainment venues. Our new locations since our last Reg CF raise include:
Our Business Model
As a food service technology provider, we license our technology to large, established food service and retail operators with deep expertise in activating and managing food service locations, and collect recurring service fees. While we operate a limited number of Blendid-branded locations to try new concepts or establish proof points, our business is primarily driven by licensed, co-branded products with recurring service fees to Blendid.
*alternate service fee models are available
Due to our low operational costs, operators can expect to achieve significantly wider margins than they would have realized through a traditional food service model.
Why Invest
Over the next few years, we plan to expand to thousands of national and international locations, automating a variety of cuisines including soups, salads, sandwiches and more to meet the needs and food preferences of millions of consumers. Food tech automation is a multi-billion dollar market here to stay and poised for rapid growth. We have put in the work to build a strong technological foundation and now, with key operating relationships in place, and accelerating growth, we are ready to scale.
*70,000 locations have been identified as high-traffic locations that represent the total addressable market. No contracts or guarantees have been made to secure these locations. The serviceable market is based on company research and management's estimate of food sales per location for an operator.
Blendid creates compact, autonomous, contactless robotic food kiosks available in retail stores, universities, travel centers, and. a hospital throughout the US. With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.
With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.
At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.
Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.
StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.
For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.
For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.
Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.
Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.
Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. Investing in private company securities is not suitable for all investors. An investment in private company securities is highly speculative and involves a high degree of risk. It should only be considered a long-term investment. You must be prepared to withstand a total loss of your investment. Private company securities are also highly illiquid, and there is no guarantee that a market will develop for such securities. Each investment also carries its own specific risks, and you should complete your own independent due diligence regarding the investment. As a bulletin board platform, SE BB provides a venue for investors to access information about private company offerings and connect with potential sellers. SE BB is distinct and separate from StartEngine Secondary (“SE Secondary”), which is an SEC-registered Alternative Trading System (ATS) operated by SE Primary. SE Secondary facilitates the trading of securities by matching orders between buyers and sellers and facilitating executions of trades on the platform. While a security may be displayed on the bulletin board, these securities will be subject to certain restrictions which may prevent the ability to buy and sell these securities in a timely manner, if at all. Even if a security is qualified to be displayed on the bulletin board, there is no guarantee an active trading market for the securities will ever develop, or if developed, be maintained. You should assume that you may not be able to liquidate your investment for some time or be able to pledge these shares as collateral.
