More than 3.5 million people work as truck drivers in the United States. It's a nomadic and perilous lifestyle fraught with income uncertainty and weeks spent away from home.

For decades, we believe a lack of transparency - and in many cases trust - has limited the ability for shippers (manufacturers), carriers & independent drivers to do meaningful business together. The result has been a fragmented, clumsy and costly model for moving freight.

Outdated Technology Leads to a Lack of Direct Connectivity, Transparency and Visibility Between Shippers and Carriers

The trucking industry hit what many consider a blind curve in 1980 - the result of landmark federal legislation deregulating the trucking industry. The deregulation age birthed the explosion of freight brokers and third party logistics companies who spotted an opportunity to service manufacturers and shippers who viewed deregulation as a major headache. Finding, connecting to and managing dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of independent haulers proved nearly impossible. Brokers and 3PLs quickly established unregulated commission fees of 15-50% for their services. 


Fast forward to the late 90s - and the mass adoption of the internet. Suddenly brokers and 3PLs could broadcast their loads to truckers and expand their near monopolies over the industry. These intermediary “managed services” were - and continue - to rake in billions in profits, in fact gross total revenues reached $213.5 Billion in 2018.  All while peeling profits away from shippers and drivers. 

Roll the time machine forward to the late 2000s, and the advent of smartphone tech and mobile apps. The tide now turns. Technology is finally catching up and the LaneAxis network sets the course to shift the paradigm. 


Our focus is on the persistent two-pronged problem: 1) Connecting shippers directly to drivers/carriers. 2) Managing the complicated process of a freight movement from A to Z - from contracts to insurance certificates to shipment documents - all the way to the final proof of delivery.  

Data Fueled Network Portal Connects Shippers to Carriers Directly & Automates Shipment Management

On the Carrier Portal side, trucking companies gain insights to real time data, custom KPIs , visibility of their drivers’ locations/statuses - all while providing end-to-end visibility directly to their shipping customers. Driver network visibility enables shippers to send drivers “revenue alerts” directly to the drivers phone for available shipments for immediate connection.

The Design of the LaneAxis Network and App Creates Multiple Revenue Streams but One Solution Focus

The Professional Trucker app with truck specific navigation is free for drivers. From the portal, Carriers and Brokers of any size can register and add drivers for free.  When a carrier/broker creates a shipment, they assign it to a driver, then can track the shipment for a fee of only $0.99.  They can then send a tracking link - free of charge - to their shipping customer eliminating phone calls/headaches and allowing all parties to sit back and watch the status of their shipment get delivered and signed with an electronic proof of delivery.  No more phone calls, paperwork, and emails.

Shippers can register, invite and add their preferred carriers for free.  From the network shippers can negotiate shipments with their preferred carriers, confirm rates, track loads in real-time with electronic documents for a $.99 fee.  Shippers also can query the network, find new carriers and add them to their network.  Rate confirmation with carriers outside their network will be charged a 5% data access fee.

As our campaign draws to a close, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the 1,600+ investors who contributed to our mission of transforming transportation.

LaneAxis reached its contribution limit a full week before its scheduled May 21 closing date, with the final $500,000 pouring in in just 4 days. The average investment amount came out to $660.87 per person. Since reaching our fundraising cap, an additional 300+ people have signed up for our waitlist. To those supporters, we also extend a sincere thank you. Achieving all this during a global crisis is no small feat, and speaks volumes about the groundswell of support we received – as well as the need for our system.

Now we look ahead. The LaneAxis Shipper-to-Carrier direct network – known as FreightLINK - is quickly taking shape. We are currently in the process of marketing and expanding our Shipper and Carrier networks. We’ve pinned the locations of the 1.6 million Carrier companies in our database (representing 3.5 million+ Drivers) onto our Shipper portal network map. Concurrently, we are adding hundreds of thousands of Shippers to the platform. We are planning a structured rollout of both our FreightLINK and FreightVISION products over the next couple of months. Soon, Shippers and Carriers will be establishing direct relationships built on trust, transparency and technology. Freight brokers – and the 20 to 50% margins they devour – will be left out of this equation. 

Separately, we are making major headway in our initiative to establish government backed national freight networks. We have been in talks with decision-makers in the U.S., the Middle East, and most recently, Australia.

We’re down to the final few days of our campaign – and we’re determined to close out on time.

As part of our final push, we want to reveal a key ingredient of the “secret sauce” that will make the LaneAxis Transportation Network thrive and grow. We’ve held this concept close to the vest – primarily for competitive reasons. But the time is now to reveal our network growth plan in greater detail and give our shareholders one final opportunity to get in now.  

Our strategy is based on a matchmaking model similar to dating apps – or perhaps more accurately – LinkedIn.



As you know, our FreightVISION product, set to launch next month, charges $.99 cents to track and automate the management of freight movements. This feature can be used by Shippers, Carriers, and even brokers. With millions of shipments taking place every day in the U.S. (via long haul, short haul and last-mile deliveries), capturing just a small percentage of those daily movements would net millions in monthly revenue for LaneAxis. And that’s just FreightVISION.

Now let’s scale up the revenue potential. Before FreightVISION can truly thrive, mission one is connecting Shippers directly to the 97% of small U.S. trucking companies that own 10-trucks or less, with 90% owning 6 or less. Nearly one million trucking “companies” are single driver, single truck “owner-operators.” This massive, scattershot collection of small Carriers – along with Shippers’ unwillingness to work with them for myriad reasons (including a lack of technology and tracking) – has led to the current trucking crisis in America, worsened of course by the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, trucking’s troubles have manifested in the form of organized independent Trucker protests in front of the White House and other locations, with Drivers furious about low pay, a lack of available freight, and a near industry-wide revolt against freight brokers who devour profits from Drivers and Carriers.

Enter FreightLINK, our premiere product. The concept is relatively simple. LaneAxis has tapped into its DOT database of 1.6 million Carriers, created "Carrier Profiles" for all of them, and geographically pinned them into our network map. See screenshot below.  


From the network portal, LaneAxis will invite all 1.6 million Carriers to join for a monthly fee of $4.99 to start building their relationships directly with Shippers.  Paying the monthly access fee enables network visibility so Carriers can send and receive invitations to connect directly to Shippers. Carriers complete their profile, which includes uploading their insurance certificate, Drivers’ information, and all other required documents. Now activated, the Carrier company will appear as a green-colored location pin on a U.S. map. Carriers who don’t activate their profile will also appear on the map – but will be greyed out. They can still receive Shipper invitations but have to pay the $4.99 monthly access charge to send or accept connection requests. The message to those Carrier companies is simple: if you’re not green – you’re essentially invisible - and you’ll miss out on direct freight opportunities.


Upon activation, Carriers will now have multiple ways to connect directly with Shippers:

·       A Carrier can directly invite a Shipper inside or outside of the LaneAxis network to “connect” – and thus become part of that Carrier’s internal network.

·       A Shipper posting a load can query the system based on multiple criteria and immediately see all qualified Carrier companies on the map. The Shipper can then send their own “connection invite” to the Carrier(s) that interest them – whether those Carriers have activated their profiles or not. Carriers who are active – and thus listed in green – will be more likely to receive requests.

·       A Shipper can also look at a separate map displaying the real-time location of available Drivers working for Carriers with active profiles. This will also boost their chances of gaining direct freight.

·       Carriers are now empowered to build limitless connections directly with Shippers, greatly boosting their chances of obtaining daily freight options.

·       From their dashboard, Carriers will be able to query their Shipper list for freight and electronically submit their rate.  

·       Once the rate confirmation comes to the Carrier, FreightVISION takes over and complete visibility is accessible by both the Shipper & Carrier.

Once a “connection” has been made (again think of dating apps or LinkedIn), all the Carrier has to do is accept the Shipper’s contract and the two are ready to do business. 

So where does the revenue come from? Carriers will pay a $4.99 monthly recurring subscription fee which we will aggressively market to gain all 1.6M Carriers, and this particular feature will be free to Shippers.  

Here are the important points to remember in this model:

·       Currently Shippers, brokers and mega Carriers (comprising 3% of the trucking sector) hold all the power in freight transportation. The LaneAxis model gives power back to the 97% of small trucking companies struggling to survive because of their inability to obtain direct freight, especially from large Shippers, as well as small Carriers' begrudging reliance on revenue-draining load boards and freight brokers.

·       At a price point of just $4.99/month, small Carriers will jump at the chance to have their profile visible in a vast transportation network that gives them potential access to direct freight. Currently, freight brokers snatch between 20-50% in fees for their managed services. On a $1,000 load – that’s at least $200 pulled out of the pockets of carriers. Compare that to $4.99/month.

·       We anticipate within 1-2 years signing up 50-70% of the 1.4 million trucking companies owning 10 trucks or less. On the low end of that estimate, that’s 700,000 companies paying $4.99/month, equaling about $3.5 million in MRC (Monthly Recurring Charges). 

·       The ability for Shippers to invite Carriers – or Carriers to invite Shippers – to join their respective networks is a gamified, proven, and incentive-rich technique.

·       The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will generate emails featuring “suggested matches” – much like LinkedIn, Facebook and dating apps.

·       Much like its massive database of Carriers, LaneAxis has hundreds of thousands Shippers in a separate database. Carriers can pursue connections with Shippers either inside or outside of the LaneAxis network – but once the connection is made – the Shipper is now officially a member of the LaneAxis platform.

·       Our partnership with AAOO and its 25,000 Carrier members and 100,000+ Drivers will automatically populate the map and ignite interest from the get-go.

·       Large Shippers – from Walmart on down – will no longer fear working with small Carriers because all freight management processes – from document and contract management to real-time tracking – will be almost fully automated and exempt from costly and error-prone manual processes. Thus a drastically reduced need for brokers.

These numbers are big and bold and entirely feasible. That’s because this matchmaking network is unlike anything the industry has seen, and LaneAxis already has already built the infrastructure, partnerships, and expertise to make it happen.  Obviously we could go on about the potential, but we wanted you as Shareholders to have first insights into the industry-first direct network & the potential revenue that lies ahead.  Target date for opening the direct network is July, 2020 - Q3 at the latest.

How Blockchain and AXIS Tokens Benefit our Platform and Investors

Hello LaneAxis Shareholders and Followers,

We continue to receive positive feedback about  our planned integration of blockchain technology into the LaneAxis platform. We also continue to receive inquiries requesting a deeper dive into how it all fits together. 

As we explained in a previous update, we intend to make AXIS tokens the freight payment mechanism within the LaneAxis network ecosystem. Shippers will purchase AXIS tokens, which will initially serve as a "utility" token granting API access into the LaneAxis blockchain. For those not familiar with the concept of blockchain - in basic terms it is a cryptographically-protected distributed ledger that stores transactions and data on digital "blocks" that are completely immutable and cannot be altered. This ensures complete integrity and traceability of data and transactions - critical benefits for the entire supply chain. When a freight movement is completed, drivers/carriers will be immediately paid in traditional U.S. currency. Currently, it can take weeks and even months for carriers to get paid.

As you can see, LaneAxis has already invested lots of time (and large sums of money) to develop the technical framework for blockchain and token implementation. The pieces are in place.

That's the tech side of things.  

So how does all this affect your investment in LaneAxis? We think you'll like the answer.

LaneAxis currently holds 1.2 billion AXIS Tokens. In order to utilize the AXIS token as a payment mechanism, we plan to file the token as a Security Token with the SEC later this year. At that point, we will be listing the token on public cryptocurrency exchanges. 

Once the token hits the exchanges, its value will continue to rise as tokens are purchased by users and speculators. LaneAxis will report all money accrued from the sale of tokens as revenue to the IRS. 

This will naturally lead to increased profits for the company, and is likely to increase our valuation by several orders of magnitude.

AND THIS IS KEY: LANEAXIS' CURRENT VALUATION DOES NOT TAKE TOKENIZATION AND BLOCKCHAIN INTEGRATION INTO ACCOUNT. 

This was a very conscious decision by our team, as our immediate focus is building the transportation network and fine-tuning the software that will run it. While blockchain has always been on our roadmap, we chose not to include this technology when calculating our valuation as we have not yet set a firm date for implementation and still have further engineering to complete in its design.

While nothing is guaranteed - we expect our valuation to soar once AXIS tokens are utilized within the platform and bought and sold on cryptocurrency exchanges.

Truckers Revolt Against Brokers and Bad Pay; LaneAxis Shareholder Shares Delivery Nightmare

Small and independent truckers are absolutely fed up – especially with freight brokers. As the COVID-19 crisis has unfolded, freight rates have plummeted, all while drivers literally put their lives on the line to keep their families fed and store shelves stocked.

Anger boiled over last week when large groups of drivers staged highway protests in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Houston. Drivers at all three locations were cited for obstruction of traffic, with one Houston protestor charged with inciting a riot.

“The brokers are the ones who are breaking the economy and breaking truck drivers; they are killing us, literally,” independent driver Addiel Santos told FreightWaves. “Brokers [were] paying for trips from Houston to Midland-Odessa like $1,800 to $1,900 before. Right now they are paying $700.”

The drivers are accusing many freight brokers of price gouging during the pandemic.  A petition has been set up on change.org, calling for the government to crack down on the largely unregulated freight brokerage industry. Most notably, they want to require brokers to disclose what their shipping customers are paying them, thus revealing the profit margin between what brokers are bringing in and what they're paying out to drivers/carriers. Currently brokers are allowed to keep that a secret.

More protests are scheduled for Friday, May 1, in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington and elsewhere under the banner and hashtag #MayDay.

These protests dramatically underscore what LaneAxis has long advocated – and is now building: a shipper-to-carrier direct network that cuts out the need for freight brokers altogether.

As we’ve all seen first hand, the direct model works and is ingrained in our current way of life. Think of Netflix cutting out Blockbuster, or travel sites like Orbitz cutting out travel agencies. That’s precisely what LaneAxis is doing to intermediary “managed freight services” such as brokers. Bypassing freight middlemen creates transparency and trust between shippers and carriers, while eliminating inefficiencies and unscrupulous behavior.

LaneAxis shareholder Richard Moore recently posted a comment to our StartEngine page (unsolicited), describing his recent experience with the U.S. Postal Service losing THREE of his packages, then informing him they had no idea where those packages were. This is another example of bungled brokering. You can read the comment below:

And it’s not just the USPS. What Richard and many others may not realize, is that many organizations such as Amazon, FedEx, UPS, Walmart and other huge companies outsource excess loads to freight brokers as well - and once they do those millions of daily truckload shipments also go largely untracked.

Direct Freight Payment via AXIS Token/Blockchain and Automated Trucks/Drones

A major feature to the LaneAxis Network which several of our members have inquired about is the future payment process within the network itself.  

LaneAxis is focused on removing financial bloat and driving efficiencies into every aspect of the supply chain. One key component of that effort will be the direct freight payment. As the driver network grows, FreightLINK will allow shippers to connect directly to drivers/carriers, with the AXIS token being utilized for the direct payment.  In this way, the AXIS token will serve as both a blockchain API access key and an intra-network payment mechanism. The shipper-carrier contract will be stored on the primary blockchain, while a side chain will verify load-level details of the pickup, delivery, and other key documents such as insurance certificate verification. This will enable virtually instant payments to drivers/carriers, a process that currently can take 30-60 days to complete. The only current alternative for smaller, independent carriers - which make up 97% of the U.S. trucking workforce - is to pay a 2-5% per load freight factoring fee to get paid sooner. These are all utility applications of the AXIS token. We plan to file the token as a Security Token Offering (STO) with the SEC later this year. Once the offering is approved, LaneAxis will list the token on various exchanges, allotting a set amount of tokens for sale each month, then reporting AXIS token sales as revenue to all required agencies including the SEC and IRS.

LaneAxis is developing the ability to connect to any Electronic Logging Device (ELD) in any truck cab/delivery mechanism. This will make the LaneAxis solution compatible with future technology like autonomous vehicles, drones etc. With or without a driver the core LaneAxis software will confirm the pickup/delivery & all KPI data sets, as well as continuing to track all movements in real-time. We have gone to great lengths to "future-proof" our solution.
