We are very excited to announce our Crowdfunding Campaign has now raised over $500k. We are so grateful for everyone that has invested and for all of the amazing support we have received.
With this investment, we have already implemented several major enhancements to our business model that will continue to streamline operations and enable us to take GTFO It's Vegan to the next level.
1) In December 2021, we moved in to a larger warehouse in Southern California and increased our cold storage capacity by 50%. This enabled us to not only increase the number of products offered, but we are now serving as the distributor for several new international brands entering the U.S. market, including unMEAT, RevoluGreen, MyWaygu, and several others.
2) We brought on an extensive set of brokers and outside sales team members to promote and sell our private label products, anchored by our GreatFoods It's Vegan sashimi line, into several major distribution channels across the U.S., including Sysco and KeHE. This will enable us to offer our products across major retailers and restaurants across the U.S. in the coming months. We also will be soon launching a full line of GreatFoods It's Vegan cheese slices, shreds and cream cheeses.
3) We have purchased and initiated implementation of a completely new Warehouse Management System (scheduled to be fully implemented by April 30th, 2022) that will completely automate our pick-pack-ship operations. This is forecasted to increase our productivity by 50%, sending out more orders per day, streamlining inventory in-take and establishing the the foundation for the automation required to open additional warehouses across the U.S. in the coming months -- a critical evolution to expand operations outside Southern California and realize far cheaper shipping rates to customer in the Midwest and East.
4) We have launched an industry first, proprietary rapid product concept testing platform that enables vendors to test new products among our panel of over 60k subscribers - this is the largest panel available in the U.S. today, comprised of vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian, gluten and dairy free, and plant-based curious consumers. With this platform, we can not only help vendor partners gain instant feedback on new product innovations, helping them know before product launch, what will succeed and fail in the market, but also help evaluate appeal of existing products in the market. Our platform assigns a proprietary score between 1 and 100 that tells the vendor the likelihood their product will succeed in the market, as well as predict the likelihood existing products will gain widespread appeal in the market.
Other notable milestones include:
- We have now fulfilled nearly 40k orders since inception, including over 400k items sold
- Our sales since inception in May 2020 is nearly $5M, representing nearly a 250% increase in sales from 2020 to 2021
- We have nearly 120k followers on Instagram (up from < 50k at the start of the Crowdfunding campaign) - a 140% increase! And all of our followers have been acquired organically. With this following, our custom made videos (posts, recipes, memes) average 300k views, with some recent posts going viral with over 2.5M views.
GTFO It's Vegan has become the go-to-platform to first launch the newest products available in the market, with notable new brands including VFC, OmniPork, unMEAT, as well as new products from your favorites including Beyond and Impossible.
