In our experience venue owners of live events and rights holders have to market every event to a new audience - having to start over time and time again. In addition, ticketing companies have not shared audience data that helps build loyal audiences and increases engagement at their venues.

The subscription service spans across a variety of entertainment, which means our members have the access to enjoy thousands of events locally and globally for one monthly fee.

 

They do this by paying $9 to $99/month - receiving credits they can redeem for tickets to a multitude of varied live events.

The Business Model


Member-Supported 

Recurring revenue is created from paid monthly membership subscriptions.  We partner with event and venue owners to provide ticket access to our members for reduced price/revenue share.  

 

We pass those savings straight to our members - with no ticketing fees, and at a lower price than buying a ticket directly.  We retain a portion of the revenue share for our gross margin. 

More specifically...

 

  • Anticipate AOV of $50/month or $600/year.  

  • COGS will average 70% over the full portfolio on ticketing revenue. 

  • Other ancillary revenue streams including revenue share from tickets sold on other platforms, advertising, and other transactional items members can use their credits for including hotel rooms, merch, and more.

 

Additionally, through the Venue Capital Access Program, we plan to receive revenue from tickets sold on any platform - not only through festivalPass App.  All off-platform revenue share is 100% margin.

Data-Driven Approach

Our founder, Ed Vincent, carries a decade of online consumer data-experience to our platform. Most venues and events traditionally only know about 1 in 10 people in the audience. We are creating one of the largest datasets in global entertainment, with a deterministic approach to who is attending each event. Integrated with a customer datagraph of potentially over 250 million U.S. customers, festivalPass will be a powerful recommendation machine helping members discover events they will love analogous to Netflix content discovery. Our credit-based dynamic pricing model leverages data to increase LTV of members, with data guiding ticket inventory acquisition.

Meet Our Founder: Ed Vincent 

Our founder Ed Vincent is ideally positioned to lead festivalPass - having founded and exited multiple companies over the past 20 years as an entrepreneur.  


For example, his investment banking background allowed our Venue Capital Access Program structure to raise up to $100MM to be deployed to live event venues securitized by future ticket inventory - which will be made available to festivalPass members.


His experience leads festivalPass in a great direction:

Shelli previously served as President and COO of Austin-based United PF Partners, a conglomerate of Planet Fitness franchisees, overseeing over 169 facilities across 14 states. Prior to Planet Fitness, Shelli spent twenty years as a key executive during Starbucks’ expansion in both the US and most recently in China. Those efforts resulted in the expansion of 500 stores per year, totaling 3,000 locations in China by the time of her departure.

Brian previously co-founded and served as chairman and chief executive officer of HomeAway, Inc., a global online marketplace for the vacation rental industry, where he led the company's successful public offering in 2011 and its $3.9 billion acquisition by Expedia in 2015.  In addition to his operational leadership, Brian has served on the boards KAYAK and RetailMeNot, Inc. Brian currently serves on the boards of Yelp, GoDaddy, RVShare and Ally Financial Group, and private-equity backed RVShare, the industry leading online marketplace for RV rentals. Prior to HomeAway, Brian was the CEO of IntelliQuest, a company he took public and later sold to WPP Group.  Early in his career, Brian founded I Motors, an event-based marketplace for used cars, and served as a consultant at Bain & Co. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Following a successful consulting career at McKinsey & Company, Raj was the Head of Strategy and Sales for Google’s $20B North American market and led the roll out for Google Fiber.  After Google, Raj led sales and biz dev for high growth tech company, Updater, (over $100M in funding) and is currently the Chief Growth Officer for publicly traded Blucora, Inc.
