Live Music Tutor Wins the HID Global Innovation Award in Austin
Overview
Sharing the experience of playing music is like nothing else - it’s magic.
That’s why we provide an experience that combines superior technology with vetted experts that teach live music lessons to students of all ages, genres, and skill levels.
gif
This means any instrument, any place and any time - without fear of safety and privacy issues like other online educational platforms.
LIve Music Tutor was built for music education and music therapy, having many features geared to make an ideal virtual environment for musicians. We believe to be pioneers in providing the space and opportunity for virtual rehearsals and performances.
The Problem
We target a fundamental problem when it comes to all elements of education: Funding.
And music education is a space that definitely lacks it. The problems range from...
A decline in K-12 schools offering music programming
An increasing cost of private music lessons
Challenges in qualification and matching of local music teachers with students are all barriers.
Geographic challenges to connect music teachers and students in different locations are eliminated.
LMT provides a positive solution to the lack of funding for the ESSA law - in which music is included in a well rounded education, like other core courses. We supplement school districts current curriculums by providing master and individual classes in public schools using our proven technology.
The Solution
LMT platform is a proprietary technology and software that provides a convenient, safe and affordable way to implement a music program without the capital expenses and overhead associated with traditional music programs.
With our virtual music lessons, we...
Provide a 2-sided solution to the consumer and institutions (schools, government, military, etc.)
Deliver private and group lessons or master classes via a custom technology platform.
Cater to all school markets including charter schools, homeschoolers, public schools, parochial schools etc.
Engage with the Veterans Administration.
Grant access to a quality music education to all communities regardless of geographic location.
Offer retail products that include instruments for rent or purchase as well as accessories.
The Market
Our estimate for the LMT education market opportunity is $3.9 billion.
This is partly because…
Zion Market Research expects the global private tutoring market to grow to $174 billion by 2026 at 7.1% growth.
Orbis Research expects the global e-learning market to grow to $275 billion by 2022 at 7.5% growth.
Not to mention - approximately 30 million youth globally take music lessons. And out of approximately 14,000 school districts in the US...
80% have cut funds for music programs since 2008.
Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) passed in December 2015, puts music back in schools as part of a well-rounded education like math and science.
So along with this estimation, our current active markets are widespread:
Music Education
Schools, After School programs
Music Therapy
Veterans Administration (Total Wellness)
Prisons
Our Traction
Here’s a brief history lesson:
So far, we have generated approximately $1 million in proof of concept revenues. And we’ve built quite the following with that.
Community:
221 counties of K-12 schools, government, active adult communities
Over 2000 Music Instructors and credentialed therapists
Engagement with over 60 school districts and approximately 400 more in the pipeline
Key Partners:
Grammy Education Coalition, (NAMM) National Association of Music
Merchants, 1100 Colleges/Universities, and many more
Awards/Recognition:
Florida Alliance for Arts Education (FAAE) 2018 Business Leadership State Award
HDI Global/Austin Chamber Tech and Innovation Award 2018
NYT and VA magazine and other media outlets
What We Do
LMT software provides a convenient, safe and affordable way to implement a virtual music program in various spaces.
We believe to have developed a technology far superior to any of the conference calling technologies in the marketplace today, as our system both allows you to bring in your own experts, or use ours.
LMT is built for schools and other organizations where learning is more important and just a face-to-face virtual meeting. And, it’s pretty easy to use:
Once a student has registered, they can schedule any available lesson(s) simply by clicking on the desired lesson and paying the lesson fee
Both individual lessons as well as group lessons are offered. Individual lessons provide the most individualized attention between the student and the instructor, while group lessons are based on age and experience level.
All lessons are delivered online via video technology designed and delivered by LiveMusicTutor.com.
We design a curriculum to help students develop their potential and achieve their music goals. This curriculum acts as a guide for our instructors to help students meet these goals while allowing them the flexibility to tailor their instruction to the level and needs of individual students.
The Business Model
LMT has two different models, catering to different needs.
Our Base Model is currently preferred by many of our current schools, music stores and similar entities. This model includes limited customization, vetted instructors, scheduling services, additional support and IT services.
The SAAS Model is a turnkey solution created as a subscription-based model
for entities that prefer our superior technology and the white labeled solution to enhance their online needs. This model is customized to cater to a client's specific demands for brand, terminology, logos, URLs, security, privacy and other IT needs.
Within that range, we generate money via:
Private Music lessons
K-12 schools (Traditional, Charter, Virtual and Homeschool programs)
Summer Programs
Special events (For professional musicians and venues)
Pay per view events for mass audiences and performances
Subscription Models for those who want to license the classroom
White label the technology for any business, group or entity.
How We Are Different
We offer a proprietary real-time, live, interactive web solution for a one-of-a-kind educational system, connecting students and instructors globally - anytime, anywhere, affordably.
Students and instructors will be able to advance through a developmental continuum led by experts in the music education field.
On top of that, the site is safe and secure – compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
*The above information is based on internal research and management's experience.
The Vision
Whether it means individuals, groups or mass audiences - we are here to combine superior technology with vetted experts in the B2C and B2B space with live interactive events similar to traditional in-person learning. Without the expense.
Here’s our current pipeline of upcoming opportunities for implementation:
75+ Schools and districts (400 additional leads)
15+ Military and Government
3 Legislative Opportunities in Florida
8 Special Events
24 Additional Activities
2 Master Classes

While the world was battling with the ongoing pandemic, many industries and businesses were forced into lockdown and saw a massive recession. One sector that saw its finest boom during COVID-19 was the ‘e-learning’ business. Digital learning is becoming mainstream and it is likely to upend many of the current traditional education practices, models, and processes in the years to come.
Although it is no surprise that the increasing popularity of digital learning has surpassed the initial expectations, there are several platforms that have taken this leap to the next level by introducing a learning mechanism that is far more realistic and interactive than you can imagine. One such platform is www.livemusictutor.com a completely online music education platform catering to the music education and music therapy needs of the global audience. Whether an individual or a group would like to learn an instrument or enhance their playing skills, Live Music Tutor has a solution for all. Music therapy provides services for many needs including autism, dementia, Alzheimer's, substance abuse, depression, and many more.
Live Music Tutor is a first-of-its-kind, all-out music education platform offering proprietary platforms built for music education and addressing both the sound and visual requirements of music education.
"Because of the pandemic most of us had to learn to adapt to virtual or online learning," said Ted Gee, president of Live Music Tutor.
"For many, this was exceedingly difficult as they shifted from traditional learning methods to virtual or hybrid solutions. The experience was not good for many teachers and students as many districts used Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Go to Meeting, and other platforms that were not built for music lessons or many other uses other than virtual meetings. Security and privacy issues including Zoom bombing, hacking, and other issues forced many to abandon these sites. The quality of interaction, latency, and bandwidth issues made it almost impossible for many schools and music programs to conduct music lessons. Many were forced to conduct music theory or other classes without using live instruments or performances."
Live Music Tutor was founded in 2011 and with its inception and growth over the years, it has transformed and globalized music education through its ‘Interactive Real-Time Online Music Lessons’ from a Trusted Community carved through extensive vetting and selection.
Notable Features:
E-learning Business is Growing Worldwide:
Going a few decades back, explaining an online learning portal & opportunity to someone would be considered a waste of breath, but in today’s digital platform, this idea has thrived and it keeps on expanding as the e-learning market is projected to be worth $325 Billion by 2025.
Benefits of Virtual Learning Platforms such as Live Music Tutor:
The traditional Brick and mortar learning system are becoming less convenient to the masses as it lacks so many of the astonishing benefits sought out through the digital learning platforms such as the convenience to attend a lesson from home (or any other location), the flexibility of the timings, escaping the geographical barriers such as spending time on travel back and forth to the learning center, overcoming locomotion limitations of special need students, the elderly people or children, everything has been revamped through this miracle called ‘digital learning’.
Music is a core subject in education and a vital art form that has been studied, practiced, and passed on from previous generations to the next ones. Preserving the means to stimulate proper education is a must for all subjects but when it comes to Music, traditional speculations about online learning were hindering the growth and movement of an all-out digitally revolutionized one-stop destination which is now possible thanks to the modern advent and infrastructure of the 21st century allowing the whole world to stay connected and benefit from this wonderful setup.
With Live Music Tutor, you can choose between a wide range of instruments whether it's to fine-tune your singing skills or your goal of upgrading your knowledge of rocking with the drums. There is an instructor for you and an upcoming lesson available round the clock. As an instructor, it can provide you with an opportunity to stay connected with your students in a like-minded community with a shared passion for music. As a learner, you can gain all the skills promised in an in-class training only with the furthest benefits of cost and time saving, the convenience of study and practice, hassle-free enrolment and online lessons, interactive class environment and so much more.
Live Music Tutor is an LPS Enterprises company. LPS enterprises have recently released new online brands built with similar technology as Live Music Tutor with vetted instructors. These news brands are foodnthings.com and wellnessathome.today that will cater to the cooking and wellness industries.
Now you can reach more veterans with Music Therapy for PTSD, Dementia, substance abuse, suicide prevention and more.
