We're off to a great start with the campaign as we're just about to surpass $40k in our first few days. We received a lot of great questions from you about the WonderSpray product, how it works, the company mission, and more. We wanted to share some of the most common questions we've received and answer them directly in this thread.
What is the overall mission of the company? Where do you see yourself in 3-4 years?
At WonderSpray we're on a mission to enhance the bathroom experience for a cleaner and healthier lifestyle. We are not a one-product company. We aim to become the next large household brand-name within the personal hygiene space (similar to a Colgate, Dove, St Ives, etc). In the next 1-2 years we're planning on releasing new product lines to compliment our flagship WonderSpray product and further enhance the bathroom experience for all!
What kind of feedback have you heard from your initial customers?
When we launched we kept an open feedback loop with some of our initial customers to understand what we can improve and how others are using WonderSpray. So far we've received amazing feedback from our first customers who are now using WonderSpray on a daily basis to clean up. The most common feedback we hear is how "quick and comfortable the entire washing experience is" vs rolling paper to wipe skin.
We also received some feedback from customers asking for a smaller version of the WonderSpray which can also be used for toddlers and smaller children. Because of this, we've begun engineering efforts for a new product line called "WonderSpray Baby" which is a mini sprayer designed for a gentle wash for younger audiences and families!
What will the funds be used for?
Our near-term goal is to use these funds to scale up our factory machinery to be able to produce up to 35,000 WonderSpray devices per month which we plan to sell through every quarter going forward. This will allow us to begin penetrating this wide-open market, especially in the US and EU. We'll also be dedicating a portion of funds raised directly towards our next purchase order of 15,000 devices and 5,000 cases, the more we order from our factories, the cheaper per-unit cost we'll be paying, in turn generating more net revenue each month. Finally, we're planning for a big marketing push in 2022 which will be supported by 2-3 high production (and humorous) WonderSpray brand videos that we'll push across our most profitable marketing channels (TikTok, Youtube, IG, Influencers, etc). We've seen some fantastic conversions from testing out video marketing channels in the past, and we plan to push this full-fledged next year as we make an even bigger splash in the market (pun intended)!
How does WonderSpray work?
It's super easy! To use WonderSpray you simply charge, fill, and spray. WonderSpray can be charged with any USB-C charger, a 30 min charge provides 3 weeks of use. To fill your WonderSpray you open the refill tab on the back of the device and fill it up with warm water (or cold if you're feeling optimistic!). Next, click on the pressure mode you want, slightly bend forward, and spray yourself clean. Our patented spray tech provides a targeted spray without any splashing or mess at all! If you'd like you can use 1-2 sheets of TP to dab yourself dry after washing clean.
Why is WonderSpray better than TP or wet wipes?
Smearing dry paper directly across your skin is not as great as you may think. This can cause rashes, spread bacteria, leave residue, and is super wasteful. Wet wipes are just wet versions of this same concept! They smear residue across your skin and clog millions of sewers all over the world (even the flushable ones). We believe washing is the natural and most effective way to clean up.. that's why over 60% of the world already washes instead of wiping!
What does the current bidet market landscape look like?
The major player in the toilet industry is Toto, a Japanese company pushing $100M in annual sales just within the US. Toto produces toilets with bidets attached to the toilet themselves. They are seeing an amazing market penetration rate and deploy both a consumer and business model. Other bidet-focused companies, such as Hello Tushy, focus mainly on bidet covers that attach to toilet seats which is a $20M+ per year business. There are other "squeeze bottles" and basic portable bottles available, but they don't come anywhere near to the sophistication of WonderSpray and all the features involved.
The bidet market as a whole saw its highest ever growth rate, especially in the US, in the past 18 months. This market is expected to surpass $40B and keeps growing! We believe there's huge opportunity and a lot of room for a company with a fantastic product to come in and take a sizeable piece.
