We're offering an innovative alternative to the average wheel.

Our patented sine wave shape was a repeating pattern that our founder and inventor David Patrick discovered all throughout nature and appears to be nature's preferred choice of motion. The sine wave can be seen in how snakes slither, fish and sharks swim, how the planets rotate around the sun, and even how humans walk with an alternating gait. 

Using inspiration from nature, we developed the Shark Wheel, with the aim to make anything using wheels, from ambulance cots to printing spools, move more smoothly and efficiently.

Its patented shape helps to resolve issues like rutting, dealing with flat tires and monetary loss as a result. Our wheels are made to handle various terrains and perform at a high level.

Shark Wheel plans to primarily be a licensing entity.

  • Skateboarding and roller skating are the only markets that Shark Wheel plans to build a brand, manufacture and warehouse inventory.

Electric Kids SUV

New for 2022 and will be selling on Walmart.com among other places.

Mass Market Electric Longboard

This $299 Electric Longboard will be in store at hundreds of Walmart locations starting August 2022 in the e-mobility section. It has what we believe is one of the best in class specs featuring a 20mph top speed and a swappable battery for theoretically unlimited range.

Mass Market Skateboard

This $34.99 Skateboard will be in store at hundreds of Walmart locations starting August 2022 and similar Shark products have had proven sell through at Walmart for several years. This is first year Shark Wheel is not going through a distributor and will manage the account directly. We plan to have this board go into the best selling skateboard Walmart locations and expect to be rapidly expanded to other locations if sell through is good.

Clear Longboard

This CLEAR Longboard begins selling in May 2022 on a Walmart special feature. It includes 72mm Shark Wheels, an acrylic deck that is 100% clear from all angles and a built-in deck light that oscillate colors. Walmart will test to see how well a higher priced (over $100 retail) longboard with added value can sell on Walmart.com. If sell through is good, in store locations could be next.


Agriculture - Central Pivot Irrigation - Farming Wheel

Shark Wheel won a government grant through the National Science Foundation in January 2018. The grant was for $225,000 to develop a state-of-the-art wheel for the central pivot irrigation industry. After performing extensive customer discovery interviews and graduating through the government's I-Corps program, Shark Wheel learned what the market desires in a wheel:

  • Minimize rutting (the industry's largest issue is digging a trench)
  • Non-pneumatic tire that can never go flat
  • Modular design that makes maintenance easier and more cost-effective
  • Enough traction to traverse clay-based and sand-based soils
  • Priced with the current industry sweet spot

Shark Wheel built a wheel according to what the customer desires. The test was a success in 2018 and Shark Wheel applied for the Phase II portion of the grant. In Q2, 2019, Shark Wheel won Phase II of the grant for $724,313 to optimize the wheel and bring it to commercialization. Shark Wheel subsequently won a Phase IIb grant for $150,000 in 2021.

Shark Wheel already has a signed licensing deal with one company in the industry and and received formal interest in our technology from two industry leaders.

Agriculture may be Shark Wheel's largest industry moving forward and we are already in discussions for our next farming wheel for sprayer applications.

The Shark Wheel is named after the shape of shark jaws and through many iterations, Shark Wheel created another biomimetic design for its tire based on the shape of seagull wings. The flexing non-pneumatic, modular lugs of the tire design approximated the flotation of a pneumatic tire. The sine wave shape of the Shark Wheel was placed in the standard tandem configuration on central pivot irrigation machines and the result was a wheel that did not go over the same track as the wheel in front of it. The front wheel moved left-right-left, while the rear wheel moved right-left-right effectively creating a helix shape in the soil. In contrast to a traditional wheel that continues to move along the same track over and over again digging a rut, the Shark Wheel disrupted the soil in a snake-like shape, while the rear wheel pushed the soil back to where it began. This greatly minimized the industry-wide issue of rutting. Shark Wheel estimates an average farmer can save over $27,000 by switching to a sine wave wheel geometry because of less down time due to flat tires, less rutting and greater crop yield.

The most recent update came from a test farm in New Mexico where the following two successes were documented:

  • 4'' ruts left by traditional wheels transformed into 2'' ruts after running the Shark Wheel in the existing ruts
  • The most severe rutting on this test farm came from Tower #1. Traditional wheels dug a 14'' rut. A track filler was used to give the Shark Wheel a smooth starting point. The Shark Wheels left a mere 1'' rut on the same track

Our Traction

Round and round we go

Shark Wheel has completed products for skateboard wheels, longboard wheels, luggage wheels, pallet jack wheels and most recently printing tape. Shark Wheel plans to extrapolate its current designs to enter other similar industries. 

Shark Wheel has been successful obtaining grants to date. Shark Wheel has won 3 out of 4 grants it has applied for and believes it is a good business decision to seek more grant opportunities. 

The following is a list of awarded grants:

  • FedEx Nationwide Small Business Grant Winner, 2015

  • SBIR National Science Foundation Phase I grant ($225,000). Won in January 2018. 

  • SBIR NSF Phase II grant ($724,313). Won in April 2019. (aligned with multiple industry leaders in the irrigation segment of agriculture). Grant concludes in late 2021.

  • SBIR NSF Phase IIb grant ($150,000). Won in March 2021. 

Shark Wheel has multiple issued patents in the United States, the European Union and China. Shark Wheel is patent pending with multiple other applications in process as well. Investment funds will be used to continue to strengthen the patent portfolio.

Farming Wheel - Big Update


This is the big update.

After 4 years of R&D and testing, our wheel has shown best-in-industry performance for irrigation machines. After 4 long years, we are ready to go to market and start officially selling in January/February 2023.

Last week, they issued a substantial purchase order. This is just an initial order from one customer. There is a rush to get wheels shipping by the end of January to capitalize on the sales season which is from now until May. There are sales after May of course, but that is the peak sales season. It is estimated that in Year 1 (starting February 2023 when they actually receive the wheels), they will order around 10,000 wheels. That is one customer. These wheels retail for roughly $1,299-$1,399, although Reinke buys at OEM prices. 


I just met with a Fortune 500 company for several days and returned last week. I have been speaking with them for over 3 months regarding an agriculture wheel partnership. Once we received the final test data back a few weeks ago, the conversations picked up quickly and they invited us out to meet in person with their sales team, marketing team, engineering team, strategy team and contract negotiations team. Half of the team flew out just for our meeting. We met at their testing center and technology center over 2 days. The meetings went very well and we are expecting a purchase order within the next few weeks for our irrigation wheel. In speaking with their contract negotiations team, it was decided that the plan would be to submit a purchase order first, then we would work on a partnership agreement for business moving forward. We had meetings about their mining wheels (each tire, not even including the wheel, sells for $120,000 per tire), tractor wheels and we even met with their automotive team. That team was very interested in decreasing rolling resistance and we have test results that show a reduction in rolling resistance by a significant amount. We are already in deep development on a sprayer tractor wheel and about to start computer simulations.

Everyone reading this knows this company. I hope to be able to release details very soon.

We are anticipating over $10M in revenue during the first 12-14 months of irrigation wheel sales (starting February).  One is already on board and the other we hope to announce before the end of the year.

Shark Wheel Update!


We have very big news to share, but we cannot share it until later this month it looks like. In fact, it is the biggest news that has happened to Shark Wheel...ever. We are very excited to say the least and we will share the news very soon right here.

America's Real Deal

This tv show is premiering this month, but the air date is still not set in stone. It could be as soon as this weekend (October 15) and it could be one or two weeks later. We are waiting to hear. There is a red carpet premiere in Beverly Hills this Wednesday that many media outlets will be attending. We will be there of course! It airs on FOX Business channel and streams on many different devices (Roku, Amazon, etc). The show is advertising in Time Square and elsewhere, so we're hoping the numbers come in strong.


Shark Wheel is exhibiting at the ISPO show in Germany next month for the first time, which is considered by many to be the biggest sporting goods show in the world. 


Shark Wheel has reached breakeven for the past two months as we turn the corner toward profitability. This is after committing publicly here and elsewhere to transition from an R&D company to a sales company. As you will see very soon, we have greatly increased our sales and we have slimmed down our expenses considerably as well. We are removing ourselves from the shipping and logistics business and have condensed our 5 warehouses into 1 now. We will be removing the final warehouse by the end of January at the latest. This allows us to put all of our focus and attention on sales. Nearly all of our inventory has already moved to a 3PL to let professional shipping companies manage our ecommerce and Walmart shipments.

Caster Deal, Battlebots TV Show and More


It is time to start generating revenue from our past R&D efforts. Such is the case with our 58mm twin casters and our 72mm casters. The industry leader in educational furniture (tables, cabinets, stools, etc) that services most of the STEM and STEAM high school programs in the United States is converting their product line for 2023 to have Shark Wheels! Pictures will be released this year for 2023 launch.

Initial projections once the project is up to speed is 250,000 units annually. The first test order is being put together now for 20,000 units. The best news is that the work on this project will allow us to sell:

  • Office Chair Casters
  • Toolbox Casters
  • Industrial Cart Casters
  • and countless other products that use swiveling wheels

Once one wheel has been completed, it allows us to enter many other markets.


Filming is 6 weeks away. Double Tap is getting ready, training hard for the debut. 

If you don't know the show, you can look it up - it is a strategic robot vs. robot duel. The weapons that are used and the components the machines are built with determine the winner (along with a good driver!). That size wheel will be used to carry the machine out on the cart for extra exposure on national tv.

Big Box Retail

September 7th was our official date that we were in stores at Walmart. We already have replenishment orders to fulfill!

Last year when we decided to make a foray into big box retail directly, our sales group reached out to Target. We were not able to secure a meeting - they told us they were set for all of 2022 and they would only take a meeting with us if there was room for us in the assortment...well we just got our pitch date next month for 2023 placement!

Here is a snippet from a report that was submitted by one of our test farms. 

"Customer said it is the best track he has ever had on this pivot"

The track after 643 hours of testing was only 2''-3'' deep. If you imagine just walking in mud, it is conceivable that you would leave a 1'' footprint or so. Now imagine 10,000lbs of weight on that same spot - a Shark Wheel has only 2''-3'' of depth in the track (rut), which is the industry's #1 issue. This is huge news for us after many many hours of testing. We are still testing at many farms and the testing will continue through the year.

Previous tests in 2021 showed similar rutting advantages. But, we had load capacity failures on higher weight machines. This season in 2022 - zero load capacity failures.

America's Real Deal

As of now, Shark Wheel is airing on this new FOX Business TV Show on October 8th. The date could change, but has held steady for roughly one month now. A red carpet premiere and an associated appearance on David Meltzer's show (Dave formerly served as CEO of the renowned Leigh Steinberg Sports & Entertainment agency, which was the inspiration for the movie Jerry Maguire).


Shark Wheel has sold through all of its stock during its first Zumiez run, which was a regional test. In just 30 days, over 40% of all stock was sold. There are 608 Zumiez stores around the country and Shark Wheel is building confidence in its products with the holiday season coming up. Zumiez will be placing another order for Q4, which is exciting to say the least. Our Transparent Emerald color was our fastest selling color, see it below:


Walmart Orders - $500,000?!

Hi everyone!

Shark Wheel worked with another Shark Tank company called KaZam to bring our first products to Walmart a few years ago. They were acting as our distributor and they pre-bought inventory for us and successfully sold into Walmart for 3 years with strong sell-through numbers (how quickly the product sells). It was a good choice for us to take a backseat and learn because KaZam also sold inventory into Toys R Us and never was paid. Shark Wheel fortunately was paid upfront, as it acted as the contract manufacturer and was not on net terms.

After Shark Wheel felt it had a good grasp on how to manage the direct-to-Walmart business, it chose to sell into Walmart directly. This removed a tier of margin by removing the distributor relationship and allowed our full product line to be presented.

In the past few weeks, Shark Wheel has received its first Walmart (direct) orders ever! Over $500,000 in purchase orders has come in and we have been shipping to Walmart's headquarters feverishly. Another 23 orders came in today and shipping is fast and furious over here!

Our goal is to add a zero to the orders and have $5,000,000 in purchase orders come during the same time period next year. Shark Wheel is classified as a first year vendor in 2022, which means our store counts and SKU counts have been throttled back compared to previous year. Walmart needs to make sure we can handle the orders from a financial perspective and timeline perspective. Next year, we are expected to receive far greater store counts and SKU counts as we grow the business as a Year 2 vendor.

This year we only have 2 SKUs - see the pictures below (a Red Polyboard and a Black Recharge Electric Skateboard). Our electric skateboard is only $299 retail and has a battery that can be swapped out in less than 10 seconds. Each battery gives you 6 miles of range - long commuters can add to their riding range as they see fit and purchase additional batteries (which gives us technically a 3rd SKU we sell as a standalone battery)

  • The founders of Shark Wheel met through a scientific pursuit. Years of cosmology and physics as a hobby lead the founders to meet and discuss applications that could be monetized from David Patrick's scientific discovery (still unreleased)
  • The founders of Shark Wheel actually started by forming a wind and water turbine company that was picked up by the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator

Not only will the robot have Shark Wheels, but the cart carrying the robot to the battle arena will have custom 14'' Shark Wheels to get some good air time! Big Box Retail

Shark Wheel was in Bentonville, Arkansas last week pitching Walmart in person for its 2023 line review. Shark Wheel candidly asked we can become a $100M+/year company. 

Here are some of my notes from the Walmart buyers and from our Walmart sales rep group on how to reach our goal:

  • We believe Shark Wheel is a 'Purple Cow' for Walmart and that is why we have experienced such great sell-through numbers. (If you are not familiar with 'Purple Cow', here is a quote I looked up)

    “Cows, after you've seen one, or two, or ten, are boring. A Purple Cow, though...now that would be something. Purple Cow describes something phenomenal, something counterintuitive and exciting and flat out unbelievable.

    Every day, consumers come face to face with a lot of boring stuff-a lot of brown cows - but you can bet they won't forget a Purple Cow. And it's not a marketing function that you can slap on to your product or service. Purple Cow is inherent. It's built right in, or it's not there. Period.”

  • Our online sales are good, but our in store sales are great. We have historically focused more on online sales because the margins are better and the world has moved more and more online of course. Our focus needs to turn here. It is nearly impossible to see our product in a store and not touch it, spin it, ask a question, make a funny face, buy it, etc. It is a purple cow.

  • Building a big business with Walmart is about trust we have learned. They want to not have to worry about your company and know that you are a trusted vendor that can deliver on time, have adequate replenishment inventory and other factors. Here are some of our notes:

  1. From a financial perspective no issues buying enough inventory
  2. Delivering orders on time
  3. Delivering samples on time
  4. Carrying enough replenishment stock
  5. Defect rates under 1.5% (ours our under 1%)
  6. They need to know you study social media trends in the market. They want you to hire influencers to make your brand 'cool'
  7. They need to know that you have a professional design/packaging firm so your packaging (not just your product) is eye-catching and on trend
  8. They want a Walmart expert running this division for us that has experience scaling to these levels
  9. They want emails answered for all requests immediately
  10. Always innovating

I had a discussion with our sales rep group for Walmart after my Walmart buyers discussion. They said xxxxx (name needs to be withheld), an electric product supplier (scooters, hoverboards, etc) went from $0 in revenue in 2015 to over $100M per year just at Walmart in 3 years. They followed the above guidance perfectly. But, they don't have a purple cow. Just a very good team and they have great design and they earned Walmart's trust in them. 

Walmart cannot give us $50M in orders and hope for the best that we can handle it. We need to hire one person to run this division - I have found someone that is likely a great fit. He has sold to Walmart (and every other major retailer) for decades. He has built big box revenue companies to over $50M in revenue.

We continue to get good Walmart orders as is now, in fact, this week alone we have received over $150,000 in purchase orders and over $400,000 in the past month. But, we want to start adding zeroes to those numbers and we need your help!

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
