NIRA Skin has officially launched a direct marketing campaign to test TV commercials on ABC, FOX, and CBS-affiliated channels in two local US markets - Louisville, KY and Jacksonville, FL.
These two initial markets were carefully chosen to reach NIRA’s target customer at a low cost and high frequency (~10x per target viewer). Our goal with these TV commercials is to increase brand awareness, refine messaging, and ultimately, drive direct to consumer sales.
In Louisville, NIRA launched with WHAS (an ABC affiliate) where their Morning News channels ranks #1 and their Good Morning America channel ranks #2 qualitatively for women ages 35-64 with a household income of over $100k. In Jacksonville, NIRA launched with WFOX (a FOX affiliate) and WJAX (a CBS affiliate) where their respective news channels rank #1 and #2 in viewership by women ages 35-64 with a household income over $100k.
David Bean, NIRA’s Founder & President, was also featured in a live interview on ABC Affiliate WHAS-11’s Daily Live morning segment in Louisville, KY earlier this week. In the segment, Daily Live’s host Angie Fenton demonstrated use of the NIRA Skincare Laser to the audience, while David explained the technology and benefits. The live segment, wrapped up by an airing of NIRA’s TV commercial, drove an increase in website traffic and customers calling from both Kentucky and Indiana to place orders over the phone.
There will be two more segments on WHAS-11 featuring the NIRA Skincare Laser! This is exciting because we have found that NIRA sells well with these longer-format, organic TV segments that allow the product to demonstrated and the customer to make an educated purchasing decision after learning more about the features, benefits, and unique technology.
In recent ratings, Chronicle WCVB finished second next to nationally syndicated Jeopardy when ranked based upon increased viewership year over year in adults 25-54 and total viewers and households.
NIRA was previously featured on WCVB within the evening news in September 2019 and saw much success due to the organic nature of the segment. Both segments drove a significant amount of brand awareness and demand for NIRA’s advanced skincare laser technology.

QVC, with worldwide reach to over 325 million viewers worldwide and 100 million in the USA, has chosen to feature NIRA Skin in an upcoming spot on their USA network. David Bean, NIRA’s President and Founder, has officially passed QVC’s guest training program and inventory is in place for the launch in the upcoming few weeks.
Back in December, NIRA was featured on Ideal World, a UK home shopping network, for the first time and it was a major success. We sold out of their allotment of NIRA Skincare Lasers within a few shows and had to rush 3 additional shipments overseas to the Ideal World England warehouse to keep up with the network’s demand. The product was so successful that Ideal World has brought back NIRA for two additional weeks and is scheduled to hold a “Pick of the Day” special promotion soon.
The QVC USA sales channel has a market reach that NIRA estimates to be over 10 times that of Ideal World since Ideal World is limited to England and parts of the UK. NIRA is anticipating significantly higher volume with our QVC launch in the USA. With a successful launch, QVC often brings such products back on a regular basis.
In addition, NIRA is launching with QVC Germany within the next 1-2 months. QVC Germany is the largest QVC home shopping network in Europe, and is much larger than Ideal World. German customers are very tech-savvy and often look to buy new technology and innovations such as the NIRA Skincare Laser.
Home shopping is proven to be a major distribution channel for NIRA and our team has been ramping up production and inventory levels to meet demand. We find that these longer-format TV segments allow the product to demonstrated and the customer to be educated on the features, benefits and unique technology. This enables viewers to make an educated decision and NIRA sells well in this format.
Many new brands with innovative products get their initial market traction in TV home shopping channels, and then successfully brand to mass-market retail outlets both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. NIRA is leveraging this cost-effective approach to educate the consumer and build its brand with limited marketing spend.

How much can I invest?
With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.
With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.
When will I receive my shares?
At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.
Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.
What will the return on my investment be?
StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.
Can I cancel my investment?
For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.
For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.
Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.
Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.
What is the difference between Regulation Crowdfunding and Regulation A+?
Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
