REASONS TO INVEST

Reasons Icon

Gaming and cryptocurrency are both booming; video game loot box revenue is projected to exceed $20 billion by 2025, while the current NFT market is valued at over $2B.

Reasons Icon

Through Marshmallow Jetpack’s innovative approach, NFTs will be owned by the player, incentivizing users to increase their purchases.

Reasons Icon

We believe this is a unique opportunity to enter early into what we believe is the rapidly expanding crypto gaming market.

Combining video games with blockchain technology

Marshmallow Jetpack is ready to revolutionize the gaming industry by merging it with the growing power of cryptocurrency. With our debut game, Velkin Falling, which is still in development, we’re merging concepts from blockchain and game design to provide players with fully owned digital goods that retain value beyond the game itself.

*All renderings, maps, photos, graphic images, environments, drawings, and all other artwork depicted are illustrative only. They may not be accurately depicted and may be changed at any time.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are unique digital assets that an individual owns. The ownership of these digital assets live on the blockchain and they cannot be duplicated.

By combining core elements of competitive gameplay with secondary markets of collectible non-fungible tokens (NFTs), we’re building a new gaming model that empowers players like never before. We see Velkin Falling as just the beginning of our journey to make groundbreaking titles that push the boundary of what games can be.

The Problem

Most video game assets are worthless in the real world

Every day,  gamers grind for hours to amass greater and greater quantities of in-game assets. But their digital purchases—billions of dollars’ worth—are obsolete the moment they leave the game. Whether it’s weapons, skins, prizes, or ammo, this inventory holds no external value. We believe the current status quo lacks imagination and is leaving huge opportunities on the table.

The Solution

In-game winnings with real-world, tradeable value

A player’s purchases should be able to move beyond the confines of a single game, creating a new gaming economy for incentive and reward. With Velkin Falling, our flagship game, we are giving in-game items an entirely new value proposition. Whether you earn or buy your Velkin Falling NFTs, they will be both functional within the game and redeemable in the real world.

*All renderings, maps, photos, graphic images, environments, drawings, and all other artwork depicted are illustrative only. They may not be accurately depicted and may be changed at any time.

A player fully owns their NFTs on the Klaytn blockchain, and with Klaytn’s partnership with OpenSea, they’ll even have the additional option to move their NFTs to other blockchains. We believe the potential for full NFT ownership will incentivize a higher level of gameplay and purchasing. By integrating blockchain and NFTs, we’re delivering a whole new world of possibilities for the way gamers invest their time and money.

The Market

Blockchain and NFTs are on the rise

There are more than 2.5 billion active gamers across the globe, and that number is only growing—jumping by a full billion over the past five years. (Wired) The global gaming market was valued at over $162 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach a value of $295 billion by 2026. (source) The number of wallets containing NFTs grew by 97% in 2020, with overall transactions accruing $250M. (source) Notably, today’s players have begun to show a greater willingness to purchase items that are cryptocurrency-based. (source)

Other gaming companies:

  • Hearthstone: Estimated $600M+ in annual revenue; generates up to $40M in revenue per month. (source 1, source 2)
  • Splinterlands: Grossed $1M in 2019 from 1.7M card transactions. (source)
  • Magic the Gathering: By July in 2019, Magic the Gather had already generated an estimated $500M in revenue. (source)
  • Gods Unchained: Made ~$4M in revenue from pre-sale of 4M cards. (source)
  • MTG: Arena players spend an average of $75 annually on in-game currency, with total players expected to reach 11 million by the end of 2021. (source)

Our Traction

Gaming industry veterans ready to deploy new technologies

Marshmallow Jetpack has assembled a powerful team of industry veterans. Through combined brainpower and expertise, we’ve developed the critical blueprint for Velkin Falling, and have already begun internal playtesting. We’re tackling our fundraising campaign with gusto, pitching to gaming aficionados and newcomers alike.

Marshmallow Jetpack is in the prototyping and engine development stage for their debut game, Velkin Falling, with internal playtesting in a simulated environment.

What We Do

gif

Free-to-play meets NFTs

*All renderings, maps, photos, graphic images, environments, drawings, and all other artwork depicted are illustrative only. They may not be accurately depicted and may be changed at any time.

Cutting-edge technology and human-centered game design are the keys to bringing people together, sparking excitement, and empowering individuals. Our flagship game, Velkin Falling, will unite high-quality, tactical combat gameplay with collectible NFTs. Whether players play-to-earn or pay-to-play, all NFTs they accumulate will hold both real-world and in-game value, protected on the blockchain and will be available for trading with other players.

And don’t worry—we will still have all the core gaming essentials, including deep customization, in-game identity, and resource management. But this time, the money you spend in our virtual world can go a whole lot farther.

The Business Model

In-game NFTs tradeable on secondary markets

Within Velkin Falling, players will be able to purchase items with two different currencies: U.S. dollars or Vantium. Vantium is a hard in-game currency that can be earned through play. Using either currency, players can purchase crates, which in turn contain NFTs that become the player’s property. These NFTs will live on the Klaytn blockchain and can be bought and sold on secondary markets through Klaytn’s partnership with OpenSea, where Marshmallow Jetpack plans to retain a small number of transaction fees.

In addition, Marshmallow Jetpack is in conversations with the gaming platform Pocketful of Quarters ("POQ") to bring unique value and capabilities to the company. Marshmallow Jetpack plans to use the POQ platform, which includes the integration of POQ's blockchain product as well as access to their esports and publishing model.

By pricing crates at $2.99* each (with the option of buying bundles with a built-in discount), we keep the game accessible and encourage a high volume of transactions. We also plan to make available thematically appropriate seasonal crates that will have their own price points upon development. Additionally, by making the contents of each crate as 5 NFTs, with one guaranteed equipment or chassis, we ensure an element of suspense that adds a heightened sense of stakes and competition. As with all video games, revenue is dependent on a large and active user base, and we've designed Velkin Falling to spur high levels of engagement and buy-in.

*Pricing subject to change

*All renderings, maps, photos, graphic images, environments, drawings, and all other artwork depicted are illustrative only. They may not be accurately depicted and may be changed at any time.

How We Are Different

Giving players ownership and empowerment over their digital goods

In your typical digital game, in-game assets such as characters, skins, sprays, and other cosmetics are not actually owned by the player—they’re simply perks and rewards that the player can access. This means that if the player creates a new account or abandons a game, the money they’ve spent on those items is lost.

As one of the few game companies within the cryptocurrency space, Velkin Falling’s game design will allow players to fully own their digital assets. Not only can these assets be used to upgrade a user’s in-game experience, but more importantly, they can be sold for real-world value. Our intelligent blockchain approach to gaming will revolutionize the way that players spend their money and their time, bringing a sea of change to the current world of gaming.

Why Invest

At the nexus of two explosive markets

If you’ve been paying attention, you know that cryptocurrency is edging further into the mainstream, and that video games have been gaining popularity for years. We’re ready to capitalize on both of these trends, and deliver incredibly exciting new opportunities to captive users across the globe. In a matter of years, we’ll all be looking back and wondering how it was ever possible that people spent billions of dollars that remained locked within the virtual world of a video game. We’re ready to make this future into a reality.

*Velkin Falling is currently in development.

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
