Reasons Icon

Based on our internal observations, IceGiant’s unique, patented cooling technology outperforms the competition and boasts market-leading reliability. This technology uses a unique, gravity-driven system with no moving parts for ultra longevity and safety. IceGiant launched its first product, the ProSiphon Elite in 2021, and breathed fresh innovation into the stagnate PC cooling market, where the most advanced innovation over the last 20 years was incorporating LEDs in the coolers.

Reasons Icon

Every computer has a CPU, and every CPU requires a cooler. PC sales have increased across the board due to the exploding popularity in gaming and streaming and the rising need for prosumer and professional workstations, particularly as the economy shifts toward a flexible office schedule. As a result, “the value of the combined gaming PC and monitor markets is expected to grow from $43 billion in 2020 to just over $60 billion in 2025 with a five-year CAGR of 7.4%,” according to Business Wire.*

Reasons Icon

Based on the following factors, we believe IceGiant is positioned to capitalize on all of our momentum. We have 1) successfully launched a top-level product, 2) established a presence in retail channels, 3) recently signed our first distribution agreement, 4) successfully prototyped and tested our second product that will continue our pursuit to be the top company in the cooling market, 5) are preparing to launch the most extreme PC in existence into a market that’s passionate about performance, and 6) are developing many more products to strengthen our brand and market penetration. We just need the resources to establish brand awareness, scale exponentially with new products, and aggressively expand into new markets as electronics encounter more severe thermal issues.

While similar products have a warranty of 6 years, IceGiant offers a 10-year customer guarantee. In addition to our current product, the ProSiphon Elite, we plan to launch an entire line of extreme performance coolers, as well as products in new categories within the PC industry.

We believe our technology also has the potential to disrupt numerous other markets, from solar, to electric vehicles and data centers. The possibilities are endless, and IceGiant is ready to deliver!

The Problem

With greater computing power comes greater cooling needs

We believe the PC industry is facing an enormous thermal emergency. To increase performance, CPU (central processing unit) and GPU (graphics processing unit) manufacturers are releasing higher power products.

However, this power increase causes huge thermal issues, and current cooling technologies are already reaching their physical limitations. Most of these current technologies either cannot support the power load, use water (which is disastrous for expensive electronics if a leak occurs), suffer performance degradation over time, or have inherent failure points, such as pumps, which are only expected to last about 5 years (source).

AMD’s Threadripper is the perfect example of CPUs that are moving towards higher thermal loads to offer improved performance.  Few coolers can adequately cool a Threadripper CPU.  Based on our internal observations, the IceGiant ProSiphon Elite has been repeatedly demonstrated as the best cooler for this monster CPU.

The Solution

Finally, a high performance, dependable cooling solution that gamers and creators can rely on

IceGiant’s ProSiphon technology is an attractive product designed to handle the heaviest thermal loads. Since the cooler is gravity-driven, with no internal moving parts, each cooler is built to operate far beyond anything else in the market!

While most of our competitors’ products often suffer from a lack of performance or a limited lifetime, IceGiant combines extreme performance and incredible reliability. Our market-leading position in reliability is evidenced by our customer guarantee of 10 years, while our closest competitor only has a warranty of 6 years (source).  Unlike much of the competition, our gravity-driven cooler is built with no internal moving parts, which means there is no pump to fail, hence its ultra-reliability. With such an incredible warranty, users can support future, advanced CPUs by taking the cooler from one PC to the next.

Our first cooling solution, the ProSiphon Elite, uses a gravity-driven cooling loop to provide extreme cooling to high-powered CPUs. This is how it works:

IceGiant’s customers include gamers, streamers, YouTubers, content creators, and any other computer user requiring extreme performance.  We also sell to, distributors, retailers, and system integrators (PC builders). We sell our products B2C (directly to our customers) through our online store, as well as B2B through our retail distributors and system integrators.

The Market

In a growing multi-billion dollar market, IceGiant delivers a solution built to outperform and outlast the competition

Our technology is entering the market at a critical inflection point where both new, better cooling solutions are sorely needed and the popularity and growth of high-performance personal computers, gaming rigs, workstations, and server computers is exploding.

According to Business Wire, “the value of the combined gaming PC and monitor markets is expected to grow from $43 billion in 2020 to just over $60 billion in 2025 with a five-year CAGR of 7.4%” (source). The gaming and content creation desktop industry was already a high growth segment of the PC market pre-pandemic, and has only grown since. Sales for all desktops have continued to increase, as the economy has shifted toward a flexible office schedule (source), and every desktop requires a cooler. Furthermore, the size of the gaming industry has surpassed the movies and music industries combined(source).

(source, source, source, source, source)

Many competitors in the space either outsource their cooling solutions to a third-party everyone uses or continue to rely on the same solution they have been using for years despite the increases in chip power. This is a big reason why the PC cooling industry has had little to no major performance innovations in the last few decades. IceGiant, on the other hand, is the product of our world-class thermal engineers, who hold PhDs specialized in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and two-phase flow, and have created years worth of innovative designs and products, each offering improved performance and reliability.

Furthermore, this thermal issue isn’t just happening in the consumer PC market- it is happening anywhere high-performance chips are required. Notably, the importance and growth of data centers, i.e., the “brains” of the internet that store and share applications and data, will continue to expand as cloud services, machine learning, IoT, AI, and deep learning continue to progress, and the next-generation of processors are released.

Our Traction

IceGiant is on the road to success, generating almost $1.1M in 15 months, with new developments underway

In 2019, IceGiant raised $520,000 to develop a unique, high-performance CPU (central processing unit) cooling solution for the PC industry (particularly for PCs used for gaming and content creation). Since then, we have developed our product, filed and received patents, and solidified our brand’s position in the market.

We are currently protected by 8 issued patents and have 3 patents pending. Capital is needed to file additional patents and will also be needed as we generate more IP.

Starting in March of 2021, the IceGiant ProSiphon Elite was available for purchase directly from IceGiant, and several global retailers received inventory.   Between November of 2020 and January of 2022, we generated $1.1M in revenue and signed a distribution agreement with one of the world’s largest distribution companies, Tech Data Synnex.

With our current product, we already have an engaged, ardent early-adopter base that is passionate about gaming, content creation, and streaming, and that we believe will continue to support our upcoming products.

Our product roadmap includes extreme performance coolers, one of which has already been prototyped and ready for 3rd-party review, as well as products in new categories.

One of our very near-future endeavors is a partnership between IronSide Computers, EVGA, ASRock, Fractal Design, and G.Skill to put together the absolute top-of-the-line PC build. The pièce de résistance of this build is the specially binned CPU by the #1 overclocker himself, Splave, who has partnered with us.  In fact, Splave personally handpicked all of the components and will overclock the entire system. It’s the kind of computer that NASA would be super jealous of.

We believe we’re headed for the moon and beyond and just need to leave the atmosphere. But don’t just take our word for it. Hear what professionals are saying about IceGiant on our website.

*These testimonials may not be representative of the experience of other customers and is not a guarantee of future performance or success.

Why Invest

With demonstrated market demand and the success of our first product, IceGiant is ready for the next phase of growth!

We believe that IceGiant has what it takes to dominate the high-end desktop market (including PCs for gaming and content creation) within the next 3-5 years. And, within 10 years, we intend to be a leading brand across multiple categories.

We see innovation as our strength and hold the vision for IceGiant to eventually become a superior brand with a diverse range of premium products spanning several markets. We believe IceGiant’s innovation and passion put us in a league of our own. Join us for the next exciting chapter of our story!

Sneak Peek into the Future of IceGiant Cooling!

If you’ve been following along, we’ve made quite a few boastful claims about dominating the CPU cooling market and beyond to the enterprise market. We do not believe these are hyperbolic statements. We keep asking you, “Are you ready for a cooler future?”. We want you to be ready, want you to understand what kind of company you would own, need you to believe us when we say we’re truly just warming up. Read on to learn about IceGiant’s next ProSiphon cooler after the ProSiphon Ultimate is released, which will usher in a new dawn of uncompromised cooling!

First, a little background story. Since 2019, IceGiant’s plan has been to build a strategic and solid foundation for its future, brick by brick. We started with the ProSiphon Elite, which is made from just a single material (aluminum), which got IceGiant up and going as a business and had us figuring out all that needed to be figured out when launching our first product.

Next, with the IceGiant brand, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, distribution, etc., established in the first step, the plan was to design a cooler with improved performance over the Elite, the Ultimate, which is made from two materials, copper and aluminum, and with specially designed heat transfer enhancements. The prototype has been tested and reviewed, and the ProSiphon Ultimate will be released next year in 2023.

After the Ultimate, the plan is to completely level-up the form factor, which will open the door to endless possibilities within the cooling market. We’ve been calling this design the FlexTube because the evaporator will be connected to the condenser via flexible metal tubing; note, some design work and material sourcing has already been done. Essentially, this new product will look like an all-in-one (AIO) cooler.

The FlexTube will have all of the advantages of an AIO with none of its disadvantages. An AIO suffers from having a pump, which tends to fail within a few years and makes noise, uses water, which fouls the insides of the cooler over time, reducing performance, and has multiple connectors, which are failure points, i.e., leaks are bound to occur to the unlucky.

The FlexTube will still have no pump (so no problems and less noise), will still use a dielectric fluid, which is harmless to electronics, and the entire unit will still be brazed, which means no leaks and a long life. Like the Ultimate, the FlexTube evaporator will be made from copper and have the same internal heat transfer enhancements as the Ultimate. The FlexTube form factor will fit into many more PC cases and use cases (e.g., servers). Expect the FlexTube to be released in 2024.

With each carefully placed brick, we’ve gained invaluable experience, overcome challenges and obstacles that naturally arise during the early stages of a start-up, and have reduced the manufacturing and market risks at each step to make the next step easier. We’ll kindly ask you again: Are you ready for a cooler future?

AMD CPU Launch and Intel Innovation Keynote

AMD launched its long-awaited Zen4 Raphael CPUs yesterday, while Intel prepared the market for what’s to come with Raptor Lake.

With the launch of their Ryzen 7000 CPUs, AMD has introduced a new 5nm architecture to the PC market and has raised the bar on performance with its flagship 7950X CPU.  What’s important for IceGiant regarding this launch is that these CPUs are designed to run at the edge of what the cooling solution will allow.  What does that mean?  It means the better the cooler, the better the performance.  IceGiant’s ProSiphon technology enables gamers and professionals to get the most out of their new AMD systems.

Meanwhile, Intel hosted its Innovation event and revealed detailed specs and pricing for their Raptor Lake CPUs.  Once again, large thermal loads are the norm and users will need a top tier cooling solution to maximize the value of these chips.

You can read about AMD’s launch here or watch Linus’ coverage of AMD and Intel CPUs here and here, respectively.

IceGiant's First Review Video

Throwback to our very first video review by Linus Tech Tips!  This video does an outstanding job of describing the problem that current cooling solutions are facing and why IceGiant’s ProSiphon technology will be the last man standing as the power (and hence, heat) of computer chips increases.

It was November of 2019, and we knew the Linus Tech Tips video had been filmed but didn’t  know when it would be posted to Youtube.  I (this is Oscar by the way) remember sitting on my couch watching football with my then 1-year-old daughter (back when I could still watch what I wanted), and suddenly, the IceGiant inbox went nuts.  This was everyone’s first time hearing about IceGiant. And the first time in forever that a cooling company was actually breathing new life and innovation into a very stagnant cooling market. The video went viral.  Tom’s Hardware released an IceGiant article that also went viral and was translated into several languages across the world.

Meanwhile, Katie (IceGiant’s thermal engineer and first and still only full-time employee) was camping somewhere in Arkansas with no cell coverage.  Upon re-entering civilization, she was greeted by the surprise of the Linus Tech Tips video release and the hundreds of unread emails in the IceGiant inbox, which were full of enthusiasm, support, excitement, and even unabashed joy that a company had finally designed what was needed.

Little did we know our lives would never be the same.  Since then, Katie and I have taken on jobs and roles that normal companies have entire teams for.  I once described our workloads to someone in the industry, and they  were shell-shocked that we’ve been able to do so much with such a small team.

The Linus Tech Tips video shows our first prototype, which was a huge tank of a cooler.  Through innovation and top-level expertise, the design was shrunk down to its current form factor. We’ll be releasing new coolers with different form factors in the future.

Join us on this wild ride and what promises to be a worthwhile journey to support the advancement of computer technologies for many years to come. Don’t miss out on the fun!

IceGiant Sets Sights on Cooling Data Center Chips

It’s hard to read any tech news today without hearing about cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), etc. The world is firmly in the information age and that means mountains of data and endless computing.

Eye-opening fact: more data was created between 2018 and 2020 than in all of human history before 2018. In 2020 alone, 59 zettabytes (59 trillion gigabytes) of data was created [source].

Where is all the data stored and where does this computing get done? The answer is data centers!

What is a data center? Metaphorically, they’ve been called the “brains of the internet” or the “engine of the internet”; they “keep the lights on for the internet”.

However, literally, data centers are physical buildings that are dedicated to housing row after row and stacks on stacks of powerful computers that store, process, and share data and applications.

In 2021, there were 8000 data centers globally, with 2600 in the U.S., which were owned by such companies as Google, Meta, Uber, Twitter, and Yelp [source].

Within a single high-tier data center, there could easily be 1-2 million server chips [source].

Server chips in data centers are slightly different from the chips you find in your desktops, typically with more cores and designed to run continuously at high workloads. Essentially, they’re designed to be stud workhorses.

And just like the ongoing chip war in the land of desktop PC chips, the same war is being fought in the server chip realm [source 1, source 2]. Intel and AMD have been at each other’s throats recently, releasing more powerful server chips, which means hotter chips with greater thermal design powers [source 1, source 2]. The status quo coolers that have been used to cool server chips, i.e., air coolers that are made up of heat pipes, are reaching their physical limit as the thermal design powers of these chips increase.

And this is where IceGiant’s patented ProSiphon technology comes into play.

While we plan to dominate the CPU desktop cooling market, we see IceGiant’s ultimate business model as a two-pronged approach that includes both the consumer market and the enterprise market, i.e., direct-to-chip cooling in data centers, which is when things get extremely interesting from a market potential perspective and just the sheer volume due to the high growth projections [source]. This is the next phase, and part of the capital raised during this round of funding will go directly into its execution.

IceGiant has proven technology, its manufacturing is in place, as well as the technical expertise and innovative backbone to easily adapt to the cooling requirements and form factors required within the enterprise cooling market. We’re ready. Are you ready for a cooler future?

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
