Freedom Motors has a new CEO

Hello Everyone,

It is with great pleasure that we announce Dr Subhash Paluru has accepted the position of CEO for Freedom Motors.  Dr. Moller will continue in his role as President and the key technology leader for the company.

It was only a few months ago that Dr. Paluru joined our company, and in this short time he has already had a very positive impact.

Dr. Paluru has recruited a group of powerful industry influencers to our board of Strategic Advisors.   He has been securing meetings with VCs here in the United States and internationally, and Freedom Motors will be attending these meetings over the next couple months.  He has been working tirelessly to flush out all the details of our manufacturing business plan, which is now complete.  And, he has personally brought positive new attention to the company which has turned into several new business opportunities which we are now exploring.

We congratulate Subhash in his new role in leading Freedom Motors from a small R&D development firm into a full-fledged manufacturing company to produce Rotapower engines for our target markets.

Also, we want to give a special thanks to all the investors who have pledged their commitment to Freedom Motors over the course of this crowdfunding campaign.  Your support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to sharing our future success with all of you.   Please remember to follow our corporate blog for future updates from Freedom Motors.

New Strategic Advisor

I’m very excited to announce that a distinguished venture capitalist has just joined Freedom Motors as our new Strategic Advisor.  He will be advising the company as we pursue a Series A funding round over the next few months.

Sudheer Kuppam is the founder and Managing Partner of Epsilon Venture Partners, a Hong Kong based venture capital firm, that makes investments across the APAC region in the technology sector. He currently sits on the boards of Pi Datacenters, INCX, FarmTaaza, Ubiix, and Zebi. Over his career, Sudheer has been a strategic advisor or board member for many companies across Asia. Before founding Epsilon Venture Partners, he spent over 18 years at Intel Corporation, most recently, as a Vice President and Managing Director of Intel Capital for the Asia Pacific (ex China) region. Under his leadership, his 13 member investment team made over 90+ investments, deploying over $590 million capital in technology companies over the past decade. Sudheer has multiple exits across Asia spanning both IPOs and M&A. Sudheer is also a cofounder of Pi Datacenters, Zebi, INCX and Exatron. In the past few years, Sudheer also assisted Zebi and INCX to complete their ICOs and raise funds in the Blockchain space.

Sudheer has a Bachelors degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a Masters degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

You can see Sudheer’s full profile on LinkedIn.

Welcome to our new Freedom Motors investors

Thank you for taking the time to research and invest in our company.   This is the first opportunity we have had to offer our stock to the wider public, and we are exceedingly grateful for your confidence.  We have great expectations for the opportunities your investment will provide to our company.  This offering has been active for one week and we are very excited with the progress so far.

You can read more about our engines and potential applications on our website at https://freedom-motors.com.  Also, please follow and subscribe to our blog at https://freedom-motors.com/blog for all the latest company news and updates.

Our company is making a big push into the biogas renewable energy market for electrical generation systems.  We have tested our 530cc engine running on biogas on our facility dyno, but now we are moving to a prototyping stage.  We are working with a partner in Canada to build a working prototype 20kW generation system to demonstrate the Rotapower engine's capabilities when running on raw (unfiltered) biogas.  Our partner has received one of our 530cc engines with all the latest in Freedom Motors IP, and they are currently installing it on a prototype skid.  We expect the prototype to be online within a few weeks, and plan to demonstrate the system for at least 3 months to collect continuous run-time data.  Follow our blog for project updates in the near future.

The biogas renewable generation market represents a unique opportunity for the Rotapower engine, as the engine is highly tolerant to contaminants common in raw biogas.  Even with manufacturing Rotapower engines here in the US through vendor outsourcing, we can still be both profitable and competitive with biogas generator solutions currently on the market (in both capital and O&M costs).

This is not our only initiative.  We are also working on building business relationships and developing demonstration projects in the energy industry and in transportation.  We see huge market potential in range-extenders for electrical vehicles, and also in small engines for two and three wheel vehicles.   The Rotapower engine can run on carbon-neutral fuels with far lower harmful emissions than in common IC engines.  Dr. Subhash Paluru recently joined Freedom Motors to help us with market penetration in the energy industry through his extensive experience as a senior level executive in the Department of Energy.  With his help we have identified unique applications for the Rotapower engine in microgrids, which you can read more about on our website.

Thank you again for investing in Freedom Motors!  Please feel free to ask questions about the company or this offering in the comments section of this StartEngine portal.

HOW INVESTING WORKS

WHY STARTENGINE?

REWARDSWe want you to succeed and get the most out of your money by offering rewards and memberships!
SECUREYour info is your info. We take pride in keeping it that way!
DIVERSE INVESTMENTSInvest in over 200 start-ups and collectibles!

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.

For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.

For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
