EV is the future, but what kind of EVs would power the future urban streets? As nearly 70% of the world population is projected to live in urban areas, to keep dense urban areas livable, future vehicles need to be compact, efficient, and affordable.



According to McKinsey, micro-vehicles are the “NEXT BIG THING” in urban mobility. Its survey suggested that around 54% of global consumers would consider micro-vehicles as their future mobility solution.

 


Eli is building a new breed of micro-EVs to make the most frequent short trips convenient, clean and affordable. Our first micro-EV Eli ZERO has already began sales in selected European cities in 2022, and we are planning to begin pilot sales in the US in 2023.


The Problem


Cars need to be designed for cities, not the other way around.

We need to scrap the “highway-centric” model of urban development and prioritize the ease and convenience of local trips.

Most car trips are short trips carrying just one person. Most of the energy is wasted on carrying the vehicle's own weight. Oversized vehicles are the root cause of urban congestion, pollution, waste of energy, material and public space.


As cities everywhere move toward a high-density, low speed, low impact model, it calls for a new type of personal vehicle to be created for people to conveniently get around in.

THE SOLUTION


Reimagine Personal Mobility 


Eli reimagines personal vehicles by focusing on attributes that can drastically reduce emission and congestion in cities and communities, unclog urban streets and make cities more livable and friendly.




Our first model, Eli ZERO, is less than half the size of conventional cars, 3 to 10 times more energy efficient, and significantly less expensive starting at $11,999, with a range of 45mi to 90mi, depending on the option.


At less than half the size of a conventional car, Eli ZERO uses significantly less material and parts, This makes Eli ZERO not only affordable and low maintenance, also much more energy efficient on urban streets, and generates lower carbon footprint throughout its lifecycle.



Eli ZERO is classified as an NEV/LSEV in the US, with a street-legal top speed of 25mph. In Europe It is classified as a L6e vehicle with a top speed of 45km/h, and 70km/h for a future L7e version. Our Micro-EV platform architecture is tailored to be efficient on urban streets, developed from the ground up with automotive-grade controllers and CAN network-enabled feature expansions.

In the US, 75% of car trips are under 10 miles, and almost 50% household trips are under 3 miles. Yet still, there are few options for personal vehicles purposefully built for these trips. A study by the Southern California Association of Governments concluded Micro-EV has the potential to account for 83% of vehicle trips under 5 miles and is the best solution for short trips.



In Europe, Eli ZERO is already certified to be street legal as L6e vehicles, and we’ve developed a growing network of sales! We are ready to scale up sales in Europe, while also planning to begin pilot sales in the US in 2023.

This means eligible StartEngine shareholders will receive a 10% bonus for any shares they purchase in this offering. For example, if you buy 100 shares of Class A Common Stock at $8.80 / share, you will receive 110 shares of Class A Common Stock, meaning you'll own 110 shares for $880. This 10% Bonus is only valid during the investors' eligibility period. Investors eligible for this bonus will also have priority if they are on a waitlist to invest and the company surpasses its maximum funding goal. Welcome to our new production facility!

Hello Eli Family,

We’re thrilled to give you this first look at our new production facility! Demand from our distributors is surging, and our new plant will enable us to manufacture more vehicles than ever before while we continue to expand our footprint globally.



The 48,000-square-foot facility includes space for logistics, manufacturing, testing, a production office, and finished vehicle storage. Our 11-workstation assembly line and 6-workstation sub-assembly line allow us to manufacture up to 3,000 vehicles per year. And to ensure that every vehicle meets our high standards, we’ve implemented a testing line to perform rigorous tests on four-wheel alignment, brake force, axle load, headlights, chassis, and responsiveness to various rain and road conditions. 

This facility represents a crucial step in our mission to make sustainable transportation accessible to everyone and meet our production target for the next few years—and we couldn’t have done it without you. I was born in Europe. Lived and visited many European cities. Right now with high gas prices, Eli electric vehicles are perfect for these narrow streets and are the best economical vehicle for some of these cities. I see a big market in the USA. I live in Phoenix Az for many years. When I drive true Sun City a retirement community I see golf carts on every street. I believe Eli Electric vehicles have a great future.

Eli Electric, with the ZERO, is not going to be replacing Tesla. It is geared towards places in the world (old cities, resorts and communities, where you couldn't go over 25 mph if you wanted to. That would be a lot of cars. The ZERO is extremely energy and cost effective for people to get around in these areas, that's why they sold out so quickly. I want to be part of moving this type of option forward.

Why have you not launched in India? There can be no market that is more perfect for Eli than India. The size of the vehicle, speed limit and being an Ev are perfect. So please launch in India.

Hi, I invested previously in Eli and wanted to do so again, but your minimum investment amount has kept me out... :-( Although you have previously crowdfunded $3,197,822, I'm convinced that having set your minimum investment amount too high is seriously hampering your current raise. The SEC has handcuffed the small investor, making such high minimums unsuitable for them. Should you have another raise, please consider setting your minimum investment amount to something more attainable and inclusive for the small investors - perhaps around the $250 mark. I didn’t realize how far along in development you guys are. While most EV start ups are just pipedreams you guys are actually producing and selling. The production facility is awesome. I have recently come across a lot of YouTube videos from around the world, who are putting the ZERO through their test and loving them. I am very much looking forward to seeing videos out of the targeted portions of the US market. You should post a link to some of these videos, as they show how versatile and fun these cars are to drive.

Hello Eli team. I am so excited that you are bring the ZEERO to the US. I know that we won’t be seeing these on the highway, but I also know firsthand, that they will easily sell in places like Del Webb and other 55+ communities. If you don’t already have plans to do so, I would get a trailer and organize a traveling demonstration by bringing two or three ZEROs to each Del Webb location from the west coast to the east coast. I was visiting my parents at one community a few weeks ago and showed a bunch of residents the raise page on StartEngine’s website. When I told them that they sell for less than 15K, they wanted to buy them from me. The “status symbol” of owning one of these compared to an old golf cart seemed to be the main driver. I was surprised how competitive the place was with everyone wanting to show off in the community. I am sure that you could work some deal out with Del Webb corporate, as they always seem interested in bring in things that the residents would like. If you can’t sell five units in each location, you should let me do it. I just hope that you guys are making enough of them for the demand. I am looking forward to the valuation increase a year from now, when you report strong sales and reduced cost of goods sold per unit.

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.

With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000, are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, he/she is limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.

At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.

Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.

StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market, or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancelation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancelation policy. You may find the company’s cancelation policy in the company’s offering circular.

Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.

Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to get sent back to the account associated with the investment.

Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
