Why I work with
& Big Thinkers.
I was born to a middle-class family in 1954. The combination of my mother’s family heritage as merchants and my father’s Irish charisma truly meant that I was born for business. My mother taught me key business and financial insights from an early age.
My venture fund, O’Leary Ventures, is all about diversification. I’ve invested in countless amazing founders that have pitched on Shark Tank including hardware, EdTech and lifestyle companies. Profitability is an important factor for me in considering an investment and so is a founder that is conservative in nature.
What I wanted from Beanstox was to make it incredibly simple, so anyone—even my employees, even if they’ve never traded a stock—could use it.
[mcSquares] is replacing billions of sticky notes that are discarded every year with a reusable alternative. It's a very compelling argument. Everyone gets it and so will potential shareholders.
This crowdfunding thing is not the last chance romance. It's actually a much better deal than any venture capitalists can offer. And they're going to have to adjust their models.
