The engineers at JetPack Aviation have dreamed about personal flight for years. For us, JetPacks are the ultimate expression of personal freedom. Buckle In. Throttle Up. And you’re off.
Commuting through the air while others sit in traffic. Delivering emergency medical supplies when every second can save a life. Rescuing workers trapped in high-rise buildings. Or just going for a Sunday afternoon spin around the park, soaring high like an eagle. That is personal freedom. And our JetPack technology is here. It works. It’s proven. And it is now.
Like the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, Jetpack Aviation is standing at the leading edge of a brand new industry: Personal Flight Mobility. And like those famous brothers, we are smashing technological barriers through hard work, creative insight, and a whole lot of R&D.
With your help as an investor, we will continue to improve our JetPack performance, enhance our safety systems, train a new generation of JetPack users, and deliver affordable, dependable, and easy-to-fly Personal Flight vehicles for all.
Personal flight is more than just a science fiction dream. Today, it is a reality with numerous practical applications and commercial market potential, including the following:
Military. Our Jetpack technology is ideally suited for search, rescue and extraction of soldiers in danger. Live reconnaissance, minefield avoidance, and ship-to-ship transfers are only a small example of the practical military applications for which JetPacks can be used. Jetpack Aviation has conducted several demonstration flights for the US military and we have been awarded a CRADA (Cooperative Research and Development Agreement) by USSOCOM (U.S. Special Operations Command). This agreement gives us access to the US military's best engineers, experts, and facilities to further our R&D work.. The CRADA agreement also opens future opportunities to sell our JetPacks directly to the US armed services.
First Responders. Jetpacks enable firefighters to reach high floors faster and with more maneuverability. Police gain an eye-in-the sky for observation and analysis. Disaster rescue workers can reach survivors in remote or unstable locations when roads are damaged.
Commuters. There’s no need for us all to sit in traffic. Some will bike, some will ride the bus, and some of us will fly.
Recreation. We’re already in discussions to develop a jetpack racing series.
It is a fact. Our JetPack is real. It flies. It’s powerful. It’s dependable. And it is ready for commercial production. We even have our first retail order from a private civilian customer.
Jetpack Aviation is developing a network of dealers in the United States with experience selling and servicing the helicopter industry. We will produce and ship JB10 jetpack units for rental and purchase.
In Europe we have partnered with Aerostar, an aviation dealer with broad experience selling hot air balloons, fixed wing aircraft, and pilot training. Aerostar will help develop a network of local country resellers. As a global company, Jetpack Aviation has already been meeting with distributors around the world including India, China, South America, the Middle East and Russia. Prospective distributors are typically experienced companies already involved in aviation, the import of aircraft, and provide pilot training services.
Some of our best worldwide customer prospects deal in the public sector. Jetpack Aviation has already been contacted by over 500 individuals, government agencies, and military services requesting more information about our jetpack.
The first JetPack was conceived almost 100 years ago. The original unbuilt concept was powered by oxygen and methane, and included wings that were three feet long.
Since then, many have tried and failed to build what seemed destined to remain science fiction.
In recent years, some have gotten closer. But none have created a portable device that you can strap to your back and lift off into the sky. Until now. JetPack Aviation has the only easy, safe, and portable solution for personal flight. Only JetPack Aviation has created a true jetpack.
With a 10,000 feet maximum altitude and 68 miles per hour forward flight speed, the JB10 can vertically lift a person off the ground from a tiny space and fly for up to 10 minutes.
New York Flight, November 2015
London Flight, September 2016
Our jetpack is powered by two of the smallest, most efficient jet engines available anywhere in the world. Each engine delivers 180 LB of thrust and runs on ordinary jet fuel or diesel. This technology is key to making jetpacks a practical reality. The two specially modified jet turbine engines are controlled by a throttle synchronization computer ensuring that the thrust produced by each engine is managed equally - this system is patent pending. Additionally, the two jetpack engines have a power to weight ratio of over 7 to 1 offering 360 lbs. of thrust.
Our specially modified jetpack engines are constructed from a single radial compressor and an axial flow turbine stage. The engines have an inbuilt electric starter motor for the start and cool down sequences. At maximum throttle our jetpack engines can spin over 60,000 rpm or 20,000 rpm at ground idle. The exhaust gas leaves the engine at about 1,300 degrees, which rapidly reduces as it mixes with cool ambient air. This process ensures the pilot experiences no discomfort in flight
Takeoff and control of our jetpack is made easy with our inbuilt flight stabilization technology. Our patent pending control systems have been designed to automatically adjust for changes in fuel load during flight. This integrated stabilization and control system makes the jetpack easy to fly with incredible agility and maneuverability. An advanced computer pilot information display, fully developed in-house, provides all necessary information to the pilot. The left handle controls the spin. The right handle controls the throttle and thrust. Lean forward to move forward and gain speed. Lean back to slow down and eventually hover. Lean left and give left spin or lean right to turn.
Imagine carrying a tank of jet fuel on your back. Making this experience safe was one of our biggest challenges. Our design team looked at how the NASCAR racing industry cracked this problem and we found our solution. First we made the fuel tank shell out of an incredibly tough material, which instead of cracking will slowly deform. Next, our engineers added an internal bladder, which contours the inside of the tank to minimize the amount of air remaining in the tank as fuel is used. The bladder is also extremely strong and flexible so that it resists rupturing if the tank hits the ground for any reason.
Buoyancy System
A custom designed automatic inflation system can be added to the airframe within 5 minutes for flights over water. If for any reason the jetpack hits the water, the buoyancy system will automatically inflate a heavy-duty float bag within seconds.
The pilot backpack has a five point harness with dual quick release buckles for rapid, easy access. The jetpack arms fold to enable the machine to be stored and carried in a small case.
We don’t believe you should have to be a multi-millionaire to own a jetpack and our goal is to make them affordable to the average car owner. But improving our JetPack technology takes a lot of R&D. It takes engineering time. And manufacturing trials. And lots and lots of testing and retesting. The result is a more affordable, safer, easier to fly JetPack. But that R&D also takes funding. And while no individual can make a company happen by themselves, they can be a part of something big and important, that just may change the way we live in the future.
“I’d much rather have thousands of people invest a little bit then 10 people invest a huge amount. Jetpacks are a thing that appeals to everybody, so let’s get everybody involved.” - David Mayman
Which is why we are looking to raise $1 million. The funds we raise with your help will be used for research and development. Specifically:
Researching different versions of the jetpack to reduce the manufacturing cost
Developing a low-altitude parachute system for pilot safety
Exploring the possibility of a flight airbag
Creating a training system and theme park where everyone can come to fly a jetpack
Since our inception, Jetpack Aviation has raised capital from savvy investors to efficiently design and build the JB10 prototypes. Previously, the founders invested their time and millions of dollars of their own money to design and test the JB1 through JB9 - this is not included in the investments to date.
No intended irregular use of proceeds is reportable as none of the following examples will exceed $10,000: vendor payments and salary made to related parties, friends or relatives; any expense labeled “Administration Expenses” that is not strictly for administrative purposes; any expense labeled “Travel and Entertainment”; or any expense that is for the purposes of inter-company debt or back payments.
Jetpack Aviation is focusing on bringing the first Personal Flight vehicle to market. We plan to raise capital in multiple steps. The goal for this campaign is a maximum of $1,000,000. We are currently also raising money via Seedrs.com in the United Kingdom.
Before we bring the JB10 jetpack to market, our engineers will do everything possible to ensure the safety and comfort of our customers. Therefore, our next development goal is to add a rocket-launched parachute, which will protect the pilot in the unlikely case of a catastrophic failure.
Our first international market will be Europe, where we plan to develop and license multiple jetpack distributors. We will then begin developing the Asian market.
The new jetpack industry will generate revenue from several independent streams. We anticipate that initial revenue will come from both individual and corporate customers looking to rent or lease our JB10 jetpacks. Simultaneously with consumer sales, we will aggressively approach the worldwide military market.
Will you work with the FAA?
We are actively working with the FAA and have a good relationship with them. Jetpacks are an entirely new form of aviation, just as drones were not long ago, so it is a very exciting time. Our current JetPack is classified by the FAA to be an ultra light aircraft, and therefore no registration or pilot’s license is required.
Can I fly one?
At this stage we are only offering training to people that purchase a jetpack. The training could be completed in Europe or California. Over the next 2 years we plan to offer training packages to people who would like to experience flying before buying as well as a one day "initial flight experience package". We will also be working with owners and operators of theme parks to add JetPack Top Gun experience centers to their existing theme parks.
Do you have any patents pending?
We have more than 15 claims under examination relating to elements ranging from control systems to airframe design.
Our motto is Onwards and Upwards. Everyday we take one more step up. Every day we get better. Some day people will be able to fly from home to work and back. It won’t be tomorrow, but it will be soon, and we will be there.
Where will you be?
The future is here. Invest in it now.

David Mayman and Nelson Tyler have been working together for ten years to make the JetPack a reality. Nelson works as chief designer and David as test pilot and project manager. They are dedicated to - perhaps obsessed with - creating the very best JetPack possible.
Nelson and David are supported by a group of specialists with expertise ranging from turbine engine design to electrical and computer engineering.
Jetpack pilot, David Mayman, flies over London with just a jetpack strapped to his back stunning crowds at the Royal Victoria Docks.
Jetpacks are all the rage these day. And folks in the industry are finding new ways to push the technology all the time. Most recently, a man took to the sky in New York City to soar around the Statue of Liberty. The daring man behind the stunt was David Mayman, an Australian entrepreneur and CEO of Jetpack Aviation.
The residents of Monaco parked their luxury yachts and put down their champagne to crane their necks skyward yesterday to see one man’s maiden flight over the Mediterranean waters. In a scene straight out of a James Bond film, entrepreneur and aviator David Mayman took to the skies in a test flight of his personal jet pack. The inventor and CEO of JetPack Aviation was in Monaco to test his latest jet pack, the JB-10, which the firm claims to be ‘the most technically advanced personal flying machine ever created’. Last week, the chief executive (and chief test pilot) of Van Nuys, Calif.-based JetPack Aviation strapped on the company’s new JB-9 model machine and took a spin around Monaco–in the air and over water. If you don’t believe it, just check out this video of the flight. These are the same guys who flew around the Statue of Liberty last year.
An Australian pilot cruised casually over the River Thames in an actual goddamn jetpack on Wednesday, looking like a cross between an astronaut and the Rocketeer. David Mayman, a former commercial pilot from Australia, had been developing the jetpack for ten years with a team of engineers and designers, and is working to make a commercial version of the device available next year. And just to be clear, this was not one of those cheesy, water-propelled "jetpacks" made famous (or infamous) by Eastbound and Down-- this was an actual, jet engine-powered, honest-to-God jetpack, more like Boba Fett's than Kenny Powers'.
By 2019, travel by jetpack could become a reality for the general population. What would that look like in London? On Wednesday, the capital got a sight of future flight with a seriously cool demonstration at Royal Victoria Dock. Australian David Mayman piloted a turbine jet engine-powered JB-10 jetpack at a height of 30m for 4 minutes over east London.
The first jetpack flight in the UK takes off on Wednesday at London’s Royal Victoria Docks. David Mayman, an Australian former commercial pilot and inventor of the turbine jet engine-powered JB-10 jetpack, reached heights of 30 metres during the four-minute flight. Mayman hopes to make an electric edition of the jetpack available commercially
It's the ultimate boy’s toy - with a very grown up price tag. The UK’s first jetpack flight took place yesterday, but it’s unlikely to be the last. The US firm behind the machine said it was hoping to launch an electric version that could be on sale here by 2019. One of the company’s founders is Nelson Tyler, a Hollywood special affects legend who created the jetpack worn by Sean Connery in the James Bond movie Thunderball.
David Mayman, a former commercial pilot, flew at a height of 30m for four minutes wearing a turbine jet engine-powered JB-10 jetpack. He hopes to make an electric version of the jetpack to be available in 2019 - at a price of nearly £200,000. Mr Mayman said: "It feels absolutely amazing, awesome - it's freedom."
The world's first jet packs which attach to people's backs and let them fly through the air took to the skies over the river Thames yesterday, and are set to become available for use by the British public from next year. The James Bond-style mode of transport is the only jet pack ever built that can be carried on the pilot’s back with relative ease, and are powered by two turbine jet engines which have been specially adapted after many years of development.
man was spotted flying a jetpack over the Thames in east London this morning - and it wasn't James Bond. Australian businessman and jetpack inventor David Mayman amazed passers-by when he was seen gliding over the Royal Victoria Docks, piloting his new JB-10 model on its maiden flight in the UK. Humans can fly for up to 10 minutes and at speeds of up to 60 mph with the jetpack, which is light enough to be carried by one person and small enough to fit in a car.
Visions of a world with personal flight are a long-running fixture in movies and TV, but the reality has been slow to take off. Jet pack pilot Nick Macomber is one of the leading pioneers. Macomber joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss how close the jet pack is to becoming a viable personal transportation device.
A MAN has wowed crowds by flying over east London with just a jetpack strapped to his back. Marking the UK’s first jetpack flight, David Mayman pulled off the stunt, soaring above the stunned crowds at the Royal Victoria Docks in east London.
Monaco has been chosen as the venue for the European debut of the revolutionary JB-10 Jetpack, which will power a man into the sky above the Principality thanks to two jet engines. After an unprecedented test flight around the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Jetpack Aviation team continues its global demonstration tour, which will include several surprise flights around the most emblematic monuments of Europe, with Monaco as the first stop.

FLYING Motorcycle Now On Sale
Jetpack Aviation Delivers Safe Personal VTOL Flight
6 March, 2018. Van Nuys, CA. JetPack Aviation, the market disrupting leader in personal flight engineering, unveiled plans today for the world’s first turbine powered FLYING motorcycle. Dubbed “Speeder”, the compact, easy-to-fly computer stabilized vehicle is the size of a standard motorcycle and delivers unprecedented speed, lift and safety. The sleek design makes Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) possible from and extremely small footprint, and the quad turbine jet propulsion system powers flight speeds exceeding 150 mph with altitudes surpassing 15,000 ft. The Speeder can be piloted or flown fully autonomously carrying loads greater than 400lbs. Video
Speeder is the brainchild of company CEO David Mayman who also co-created the only FAA approved turbine powered JetPack. In 2015, Mayman amazed the aviation world with his first public flight around the Statue of Liberty which launched a multi-country world JetPack demonstration tour.
Building on more than ten years of turbine powered JetPack engineering, the first generation of Speeders will be powered by custom modified jet engines. Said Mayman, “today, there simply is no source of thrust that comes close to the power and speed potential of turbine engines. We know that battery technology is advancing rapidly. It is likely that small electric cells with enough power to drive high efficiency turbine fans may be available in as little as five years. When that happens our patent pending flight management software, stabilization system, and flight tested airframes will be ready and easily modified for electric propulsion.”
Speeder will Save Lives. It’s also Cool.
The Speeder was conceived with a core mission: Save Lives. Therefore the company is focusing its initial designs for both First Responder and Military rescue applications. But there is no denying that Speeder is also awesome and the JPA team will produce a modified civilian model for consumers who crave speed and excitement. These exclusive serial numbered personal-use Speeders will be allotted according to the order in which deposits are received. At press time, the company will build just 20 personal-use Speeders and is now accepting fully refundable pre-purchase deposits of $10,000. (More Info)
“The primary purpose of our new aircraft is to save lives” said Mayman. “Multiple studies have shown that for every minute saved in emergency response time, a significant decrease in victim mortality occurs. The quicker a First Responder can reach a patient in need of critical treatment, the higher the chance for a successful recovery outcome. This is true whether the medic is delivered to the patient, or the patient is transported to a hospital. The same is true for military applications. Quickly moving medics onto the battlefield and injured soldiers out of danger can be difficult and highly risky for helicopters and their crews.” The compact, rotor-less Speeder can fly faster than a drone or even helicopter and safely operate in spaces too small for a helicopter. The Speeder can be converted from pilot configuration to cargo configuration in less than 10 minutes.
Speed Saves Lives … and the small, fast, heavy-lift Speeder can be operated as an individual rescue vehicle or swarmed in a group to rapidly meet the appropriate response force needed for any unique situation. They can be deployed from and to most environments, and the advanced flight management software enables anyone to fly a Speeder with virtually no pilot training or experience.

Dear Valued Investors,
It has been a long time since our last update....thank you for your patience. We've been very busy here during summer working on the JB11 and JB12 as well as doing demonstrations flights in North America, the UAE, Japan and Europe. We're all really excited about the progress we are making and in particular the success of our JB11 jetpack and the design of our all new JB12.
The urban mobility sector is growing at a phenomenal rate and continues to attract significant investor attention.
Since our last update we have refined the six engine JB11 and made great progress on initial design and work towards a scaled flying prototype of JB12.
We are currently very focused on opening the world’s first jetpack experience center and completing the JB12 flying prototype.
Whilst many other companies are focused on electric propulsion, for the midterm we will continue to focus on turbines. Our specialty is small footprint and fast aircraft and this is only achievable with the power delivered by turbine engines. Over time this will change as energy density of batteries improves and we will be well positioned to adopt the new technology. Most of our air frame and control systems will work with electric propulsion.
We believe that our JB12 design will open up more opportunities for us within civilian, military and independent markets.
Here are the highlights:
After a very long (but constructive process) the FAA agreed to certify our JB10 and JB11 aircraft in the Experimental Category. This is wonderful as it enables us to fly with as much fuel as we want and at whatever speed we like. It also enables us to use the aircraft for commercial purposes (not possible under the ultralight category). We are the first turbine VTOL company to achieve this and the documentation that we've created will certainly help us accelerate the process for future iterations.
We did demo flights as part of the Red Bull Air Race series in the UAE, Cannes France, Chiba Japan and Budapest Hungary.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOKP1mdNoZw, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFadyUqRKek
Did over 10 demonstration flights at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvELzB7jY_0, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pKoLj6ALIs
Flew at the opening of the Formula one car race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZpMLyAOFiQ
Became the Super Hot Dogger for the Oscar Myers hot dog TV commercial and conducted activation flights in NYC and Chicago.
https://twitter.com/JetPackAviation/status/1022851713085173760, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFThZGH6rKI
2019 is already heavily booked for demonstration flights.
We've trained another two company pilots at our Socal facility and Boris is ready and able to make demonstration flights.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_bL73ItFo4
We will be finally opening our first experience center in Southern California in Nov/Dec 2018. For the first time it will be possible for people to come and experience what it's like to fly a jetpack. If you are interested in more information please email us at fly@jetpackaviation.com and download the brochure here: https://bit.ly/2Nrs0t0. We are seeking partners interested in setting up experience centers both in North America and elsewhere. Please get in touch via info@jetpackaviation.com
We secured $350,000 investment from www.boost.vc based in Silicon Valley and welcome them as shareholders. We look forward to working with such an experienced team.
Our JB12 aircraft scaled prototype is about 50% completed. We can't give away too much information about the design at this stage because of commercial sensitivity but hope to be able to in Q1 2019. We can however say that the flight time and payload capacity are significantly higher than our JB11.
We continue the CRADA with USSOCOM and look forward to demonstrating the JB12 scaled prototype when it's completed. It has the potential to solve a number of missions that would have been difficult with the JB11.
The UAE military have requested to visit and see demonstrations of our Jetpack. We intend to present the JB12 prototype initially. This will probably be towards the end of Q2, 2019.
We've hired a new Mechanical Engineer (Alex) and he's focused on the JB12 development.
Since the last update we have developed (fully in house) and tested a triple redundant (milspec) engine control system. This system includes 3 throttle encoders, dual wired and one wireless connection between throttle and the master engine computer. The master computer is also 4 times redundant with dual double stacked systems (one on each side of the jetpack). Power systems are also now fully redundant so all engines can operate from one of four batteries.
Once again we thank you for making an investment in JPA and we look forward to growing an exciting and valuable business. As always, for up to date information please check out our social media feeds. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter:

Hello everyone. There is a lot going on at JetPack Aviation and I am happy to give you an update. But first, thanks to all the investors who have given us their support as we build a new industry of personal VTOL solutions.
* New Products
We just returned from a demonstration of our technologies to the US military’s Strategic Operations Command (USSOCOM). Of course our JB10 JetPack was the proof of our engineering team’s talent, but we also previewed two new personal VTOL vehicles: The JumpJet and the SHRPA. The JumpJet is a stand-on platform most easily described as a flying Segway. And the SHRPA (Self Hauling Remote Payload Apparatus) is a fully autonomous flying cargo vehicle. Together with the JB10 JetPack and our electric BladeRunner “flying car”, these four vehicles form the foundation of our Vertical Take Off and Landing suite of products.
* JetPacks
Our JB11, six-engine JetPack will soon be ready for testing. This very exciting new JetPack will deliver considerably more lifting power, making it ideal for rescue and delivery missions. Also, our in-house designed on-board computers will be able to instantly re-distribute turbine thrust in the event of an engine anomaly. This will greatly improve reliability and safety.
* Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
We continue to strengthen our relations with the FAA as we work to establish a practical set of guidelines for the commercial application of personal VTOL flight. We are also working closely with FAA regulators to develop the technical standards for future personal VTOL vehicles.
* Annual Report
Investors are invited to review our most current Annual Report by going to www.JetPackAviation.com and clicking on the Annual Report link. Direct access to the report is also available here: http://bit.ly/2pFvwnZ
