IDAHO-BASED DIVINIA WATER INC. BEGINS CROWDFUNDING IPO
Idaho Falls, IDAHO -- A bottled water brand from Bonneville County opened an IPO this summer, allowing consumers to buy into the company that grew out of a garage and into a 12-thousand square foot facility.
Divinia Water Inc. began its crowdfunding campaign through the website Start Engine, announced CEO Steven Sedlmayr.
Divinia Water offers an entirely new product to the market, predicting increased demand for its product.
“The water’s bonds change after going through our proprietary process, similar to how carbon can be changed from coal to diamond with a little pressure over a few million years,” Sedlmayr said. “We’ve come to know it as both Exclusion Zone Water and Fourth Phase Water. It also has a lower level of deuterium, so it’s Deuterium Depleted Water (DDW).”
Sedlmayr is joined by wife, Remy, and adult children Kiersten and Crosby as the family that built Divinia Water from the ground up.
“The water’s properties give it functionality,” said Kiersten Sedlmayr Landers, Co-COO. “We believe it can hydrate our cells better than other water.”
Steven Sedlmayr said consumers have taken notice of Divinia’s clean water, produced free of contamination at 0 parts-per-million.
“Federal standards only require tests for about 40 different contaminants as health hazards,” said Steven Sedlmayr. “There are approximately 80,000 contaminants out there in drinking water, including radioactive waste, Arsenic and nanoplastic particles. Consumers are looking for clean water they can trust because the quality of the water in their homes just isn’t there.”
“We also want to have the smallest environmental impact,” said Crosby Sedlmayr, Co-COO. “We use 100-percent of the water that goes into our processors, so there’s no waste. We bottle in recyclable glass bottles, so there’s no plastic ending up in the oceans or landfills. Plus some companies ship their products across the globe, adding to the problem of carbon emissions. We aim to put a plant in every corner of the United States and eventually the world, so people can have the purest drinking water from their local sources.”
Divinia’s founders opened up their mission for people to join the clean-water movement.
“We have this great technology,” said Steven Sedlmayr. “We want to share it with everybody, and this is a great first step for our company.”
The company’s sales are up over 250-percent from this time in 2017, and Divinia experienced record sales in May 2018. The company expects revenues to top $500,000 by the end of 2018. With continued growth, Divinia plans to build satellite plants in major U.S. metro markets by 2025.
