A growing consumer interest in swimming, and a rising rate of vacations to various beaches and islands have fueled the demand for swimwear - propelling the growth of the market. 

The size of the current global swimwear market is $23 billion and projected to be over $29 billion by 2025. And, the women segment held the largest market share in 2018, and is projected to expand at a CAGR of 6.6% over the forecast period.

It’s easy to see that demand for swimwear is increasing among women. Emerging trends such as bold colors, geometric prints, asymmetric designs, and classic yet modern shapes are also driving the demand for swimwear.

This creates a sense of urgency for retailers to update swimwear and beachwear regularly, without any delay. And with swimming considered as one of  the most popular fitness and recreational activities as well, we are paving a roadmap for the purchase of swimwear products in large numbers.

Founders Kris & Tanya truly bootstrapped Breezy - Starting with just $300 in 2018 and turning it into $2.1 million in cumulative sales in 3 years. 

Now, Breezy has reached over 34 million people, and has amassed over 200K social media followers. 

We had our best year in 2020 with revenue totaling $837,000 - an increase of 37% from the previous year. Plus, Breezy had just over 1 million web visits in that same year.

Overall, Breezy has acquired over 40,000 customers worldwide with 5,000 active members and has a 83% customer retention rate.

Our Products


With our ability to rapidly develop and test new products we are able to be at the forefront of innovation and design. The fabric in our newest line of swimsuits are treated with heat reactive microcapsules that cause the swimsuit to change color when it comes into contact with hot or cold water! When the swimsuit dries the original color returns.

Furthermore, at Breezy we are currently making strides to increase our product selection along with moving into different product categories for both men and women. We envision getting into at least 10 new product categories related to beachwear (ie. hats/sunglasses) and offering mens swimwear by 2022.

Our Technology

We are more than just an ordinary swimwear company. We are leveraging and continuing to build our tech in various ways and it’s just another reason why we are different from our competitors. Here are 3 ways we are leveraging and building out our tech:

1.)  Our mobile shopping which just launched for both iOS and Android in February of 2021 has 3,000+ downloads and we are just beginning to run paid ads to increase app downloads. Why is having a mobile shopping app important? Mobile shopping apps have shown to have a much better user experience and near instant load times. Because of this, it leads to a 3X improvement on conversion rates and 140% increase on average order value when compared to a mobile website. In addition, with our mobile shopping app we can instantly send out push notifications to those who have downloaded the app and market to them new offers. We are seeing a 10X open rate with our push notifications when compared to our email open rates, plus sending push notifications costs us $0 unlike email or SMS campaigns. 

2.) Our proprietary members page & credits system. While we can’t say exactly how we built this out. What we can say is two fold. (1.) We developed an algorithm to manage members' credits. (2.) We created a members only product page where all products have credit values assigned to them and are only available for purchase using credits. 

3.) Our incentive based social actions rewards system (Plans to start development in Q4 of 2021) Essentially, this would allow our members to earn points for different social actions we prompt them to perform. For example, a member can earn 100 points for liking our last instagram post or watching a new product video we just released. Those are just two examples, but we have mapped out dozens of other possible social actions scenarios members can perform. Upon reaching certain milestones with the points they've earned, members would then be allowed to redeem their points for product credits within their account. What this does is increase member engagement by keeping them incentives and thus leads to better member retention rates.

The Business Model

Membership Margins that Drive Profitability

Breezy makes money in 2 ways. 

1.  By selling one-time products directly to the consumer through our e-commerce site. This is how non-members can purchase from us. 

 2. By enrolling new members and collecting monthly membership fees

Though customer acquisition is both organic and through paid media, word of mouth seems to be where most of the lead generation comes from. Existing members, like influencers, post pictures of themselves in Breezy swimsuits on their social media. 

Customers are retained through the subscription model with access to exclusive products and discounts. Furthermore, we have a high gross margin of 82% with the membership, and an AOV of $32.

The average landed cost of 1 swimsuit is $7 and retails for an average of $42.

Team Breezy

Kris Izquierdo (CEO) - A serial entrepreneur at heart, Kris started his first business at 8 selling light-up t-shirts at baseball stadiums. At Florida State University, he started multiple online businesses, earned both his certification as personal trainer and his Florida real estate license, and was named a Top 7 entrepreneur under the age of 30 in 2019 by Florida State University. In 2021 Kris made the inaugural Forbes Next 1,000 list which highlights rising stars in business & entrepreneurship. Kris focuses on marketing strategy in order to improve customer acquisition/retention and handles the financial planning at Breezy. 

Tanya Barahona (CBO) – Created the Breezy Swimwear brand with a focus on female empowerment and body positivity. She identified the large gap in body image awareness with existing fashion brands and the market opportunity associated with it. Tanya focuses on the buying/merchandising of the products, operations, and branding. She creates the look and feel of the brand and brings her creative vision to life at Breezy.

Eric Kau (Advisor) - Eric has a track record building and leading high performing e-commerce teams at companies like Amazon, Chewy and BoxyCharm where he is currently COO. At Chewy, he played a pivotal role growing revenue from $250M to $2.3B, and ultimately selling the company to Petsmart for a reported $3.3B. Most recently, Eric helped lead the 8 figure exit of subscription makeup company BoxyCharm as COO.  He brings expertise in organizational development, operational efficiency, and strategic planning to BreezySwim’s Board of Advisors.

The 10% StartEngine Owners' Bonus

Breezy Swimwear Inc.. will offer 10% additional bonus shares for all investments that are committed by investors that are eligible for the StartEngine Crowdfunding Inc. OWNer's bonus.

This means eligible StartEngine shareholders will receive a 10% bonus for any shares they purchase in this offering. For example, if you buy 100 shares of non-voting common stock at $2/share, you will receive and own 110 shares for $200. Fractional shares will not be distributed and share bonuses will be determined by rounding down to the nearest whole share.

This 10% Bonus is only valid during the investors eligibility period. Investors eligible for this bonus will also have priority if they are on a waitlist to invest and the company surpasses its maximum funding goal.
