A business with a purpose...

Baja United Group: Our founding principle is to create a business that can unite the vineyard treasures of Baja with consumers of the United States. To promote and cultivate Baja and to enrich the lives of the children in local orphanages.

The Formation of Baja United Group

The co-founders of Baja United Group are Jim Riley, who was previously the founder of Intersect Beverages and Azunia Tequila. Eric Morley currently with Blue C Advertising Agency. Both have over 25 years of senior level marketing and business development experience resulting in driving business growth and profitability.  Jim and Eric have spent many years involved in the myriad of treasures that Baja California and the Valle de Guadalupe have to offer.

Participating in both surfing and off-road racing events -- like the Baja 1000 -- in the region, both Jim and Eric have become intimately associated with the region's various winemakers and breweries, as well as numerous charitable efforts. In particular, both sought to give back to the region by assisting the Valle de Guadalupe's orphanages, such as Rancho El Milagro.

Through their experiences in the region, Jim and Eric see an opportunity to combine their experiences, connections, and passions into one united effort.  With that, the Baja United Group was enthusiastically created.

First, Baja United Group seeks to bring American and ultimately international attention to Valle de Guadalupe's wineries by building strong connections with the wine drinking community. In doing so, it is their hope that they can help promote the economic prosperity of the region.

Most importantly, the company wishes to build a sustainable business that can give back charitably to this incredible regionThere are so many children in the local orphanages that need help. Your investment will allow for these orphanages to provide the basic daily necessities for these young children.

About the Valle de Guadalupe

"The Next Napa"

Los Angeles Times

Amazing Vintages, Incredible Flavors

As a winemaking region, Valle de Guadalupe is unlike any other in the world. Its unique terroir yields grapes and vintages that explode with flavor and that are often surprising to and entirely intoxicating for even the most experienced wine drinkers.

But, it's not the just the natural environment that yields varietals that are distinct from others that many have experienced. The region's vintners have a flair for experimentation and creativity, yielding collections of new and exciting blends that are as daring as they are lacking in pretense.

With wine drinkers looking for more memorable experiences, the Valle de Guadalupe's winemakers are uniquely poised to deliver.

"Millenials answer the call of Mexican wine country."

New York Times, April 2017

Promoting the Region

Through the sales and distribution of various Valle de Guadalupe wines, Baja United Group will also promote the valley itself. We believe that travelers and adventurers should have the opportunity to explore this one-of-a-kind region as we have.

Through tours of the region's wineries, we believe that the Valle de Guadalupe can become a popular destination on par with California's Napa Valley.

We plan to focus upon millennials, who are aren't just looking for the next big thing. They're looking for brands and products that are artisanal, eco-friendly and socially conscious.

Baja United Group: Distributing Tantilizing Valle de Guadalupe Wines to the U.S. and Beyond...

As we continue to partner with different winemakers in the region, we are continuing to bolster our selection of exciting vintages:

Monte Xanic - Sauvignon Blanc

Crisp on the nose, highly intense and with notes of tropical fruit (guava, soursop, passionfruit, pineapple and mango), fresh citrus (lime and grapefruit), as well as freshly cut herbs and light orange blossom, this vintage possesses quality and a persistent aroma.

Monte Xanic - Cabernet Sauvignon

This crisp and bright red has an intense aroma of blackberries and red fruit on the nose. With a gentle mouthfeel, this cabernet sauvignon has a round body and soft tannins and finishes with notes of white pepper, cacao and dried chili peppers.

"An unexpected wine sanctuary in Baja California"

Los Angeles Times, April 2017

Las Nubes - Kuiiy

Possessing a medium- to high-intensity taste, this dry and pleasant wine possesses a balanced acidity. A long-standing fresh wine, its good body and fruity aftertaste confirm its aromatic aspects and elegance.

Las Nubes - Cumulus

This luscious vintage demonstrates the high level of quality that's coming out of the Valle de Guadalupe. A blend of 50-percent Grenache, 40-percent Carignan, and 10-percent Tempranillo, it is full bodied with firm, balancing tannins.

"Is Baja finally uncorking wine success?"

San Diego Union Tribune, March 2016

Vena Cava - Big Blend

As a blend of 25-percent Syrah, 25-percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 19- percent Petite Syrah, 17-percent Zinfandel, and 14-percent Grenache, this wine possesses a deep ruby-red color with soft highlights of red fruit, blackberries and plums in the nose.

Vena Cava - Cabernet Sauvignon

A cross between red Cabernet Franc and white Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the deep, rich flavors of the best Cabernet Sauvignon make this exciting variety a popular choice for red-wine drinkers of all stripes and affinities.

And Beer, Too...

Baja United Lager

We're not just working with the best wineries in Valle de Guadalupe either. We're also working with some truly amazing breweries in order to bring unique and exciting beers with big, bold flavors to the American market.

Baja United Pale Ale

In addition to our debut lager, we will also be introducing a private label Pale Ale into the American market. Like our wines, these two offerings are only just the beginning of what Baja United Group will be offering.

Baja United Group's Values

We know that the wines and beers of Valle de Guadalupe are going to make a strong impression on American and international audiences. But, we're more than just a distributor for this region's winemaking artisans; we're also a company that believes firmly in creating a community of high moral fiber both within itself and also surrounding its brand...

That's why it's our mission to...

Be adventurous, creative and open-minded.

Build open and honest relationships.

Create a positive team and family spirit.

Help others.

Great just isn't good enough.

Live with a purpose.

Revel in your work.

Be Humble.

Baja United Group: The Importance of Giving Back

There's no denying the quality of the vintages offered by the wineries of Valle de Guadalupe. We're confident that their unique qualities and flavors, as well as the authentic character of the wineries who have produced them, will make them a hit with wine enthusiasts the world over.

But, what really matters to us at Baja United is giving back to this incredible region. Our team members have a 20-year track record supporting orphanages in Baja California on a regular basis.

It is our mission to create a sustainable revenue stream that can support these orphanages and other charitable endeavors. A portion of all Baja United Group's proceeds will go to these efforts. We believe that we can provide the much-needed supplies to these orphanages and other charities, all while working in partnership with each property.

Baja United Group: Amazing Growth Potential

In only a short time, Baja United Group has generated incredible interest from the fourth-largest distributor in the United States.  We expect that this distributor will be working with us directly to bring some of Valle de Guadalupe's most exciting wines to the American market.

In addition to the incredible experience our team possesses, we're also working with some of the United States' leading minds when it comes to e-commerce. Direct-to-consumer sales will be a pillar of our business and will be powered by the proven VIN65 sales program.

Ultimately, though, it is our incredible wines, beers and experiences, along with our brand's absolute commitment to public service in the Valle de Guadalupe, that will allow us to enjoy incredible success over the many years to come.

What We Know About the U.S. Wine Market

Trends in Wine

Millennials requires every industry to think differently: always connected, techno-savvy, multi taskers, positive, optimistic, social minded, green minded, self confident, most educated, very diverse and accepting, more liberal, self expressive, embrace personalization, love to capture life and share, crave feedback if it's good. Baja United Group: On the Precipice of Something Great

Although wine enthusiasts have come to understand the tremendous promise of Valle de Guadalupe, distribution networks have been slow to catch on. As things currently stand, many of the region's wineries only operate on 'hand-shake' agreements with a few distributors who have limited reach. Baja United Group will change all of that.

As an importer, we specialize not just in mass importation, but also in brand building and distribution. As such, we can do more than merely get the region's products onto store shelves in the United States. We can help Valle de Guadalupe's unique wineries to find excited and interested audiences outside of the region and eventually around the world.

To start, we will be focusing primarily on building an e-commerce outlet for Valle de Guadalupe's wines and beers. We believe starting out in this manner is wise, as it will allow us to constantly adapt the ever-changing inventories and varietals that the region offers.

Simultaneously, we will also be attacking the top 20% on- and off-premise accounts in Southern California. With established relationships already, this will allow us to get Baja United Group's products in front of influencers who can really help to build our brands' exposure.

The various wineries with which we work have stories that are as incredible as the varietals they produce and the passion that went into producing them. Our branding strategy is to call attention to the incredible stories of these diverse wineries, while also giving customers a direct experience through tours and other experiences in Valle de Guadalupe.

Updates

Why your investment matters! Last day to invest - Closing offer TODAY!

When this business started we had the idea of a "Bootstrap" Hobby working down in Baja California. The days would be filled with off road adventures, wine drinking, and great food. We even dropped a trailer at the local RV park so we had a place to call home. What changed?

Opportunity and the desire to succeed in our blood! After visiting several of the top wineries including our current partners, we very quickly realized there was an immediate need in the Valle De Guadalupe. That need was solid distribution partners in the USA and a team of people that knew how to navigate the system. After a quick phone call to Youngs Market Company to check the temperature on Baja Wines, we were informed that they had been looking for Baja Wine partners for 6 months with no luck. As a team we agreed to change up our "Hobby" idea and turned it into a full service business plan with a long term strategy. We went back to Baja with contracts in hand and started signing up winery partners for US distribution. We converted the RV to a home base in Mexico that serves as our office and hotel. At the same time we locked down Youngs Market Company for distribution in California with long term plans for other states. This is where Start Engine came into the picture. Although "Bootstrapping" a business sounds clever and a way to describe 20 hour work days, we knew we needed financial resources. The resources we needed were to have the ability to scale up quickly and become a viable player in this emerging market and be the partner of choice for Baja wineries. We also knew we would need inventory to fill the requests of Youngs Market Company early in the project. This is why YOUR investment matters. As a group - all 101 investors to date have provided us with the security and ability to ramp up quickly and have the inventory to play with the top wine companies in California. Thank you for being there when we needed you the most.

The quick facts of our business today as we close funding:

1. We have over 40 new accounts in California selling our products in the last 30 days

2. We have over 100 accounts that previously carried Monte Xanic and are converting over to Baja United

3. We have a full time sales Rep in the streets of Southern California opening new business everyday

4. We have 10 wineries ready to launch in our online store later this month

5. We have a completed Craft Beer package waiting approval from the TTB to launch at the beginning of 2018

6. We have great marketing assets that are helping to grow brand awareness

7. We have a tour company taking people down to Baja for first hand experiences - Boca Roja Adventures

8. We have regular wine parties happening now to increase exposure and sales

9. Baja Wineries have gained great exposure through recent press in Sunset Magazine and others

10. We have YOU! Thanks to our investment partners and future marketers.

Remember - since this campaign closes today, in order to stay in contact make sure you go to our website and sign up for our newsletter or reach out directly through the info@ email address.

Thanks again to all of our supporters!

Message from the "Heart" - 1 day left to invest

I have had the pleasure to speak to almost all of our investors with Baja United Imports. I have learned a lot as to how people feel about investing and why they are interested in this project. Its almost an even split between the financial gain opportunity and the support of our Orphanage efforts in Baja. It feels good to know that we are on target with whats important to our close circle of friends and family. To those that I have not spoken to and the 107 others that have signed on and have not invested: Please know that I am passionate about the success and financial gain of this Company. I have the experience and background to make it a profitable venture for everyone involved including our winery, craft brew, and distribution partners. We have seen some early success with our partners and it continues to grow every minute. My partner, Eric Morley has made personal sacrifices alongside of me as we push 10 - 12 hours a day to build this brand. As the public offering comes to a close tomorrow, the opportunity to invest will be gone. I am thrilled to know that we have a great group of backers and it will be fun to share our success with you in the coming years. The "updates" you have been receiving will go away since these are through our Start Engine page. Please make sure you go to our website and sign up for our newsletter or send to the info@ email to stay in touch. We hope to hear from everyone as time progresses and hopefully open a bottle of beer or wine together. As the emails fade out, please continue to support our efforts the following ways:

1. Buy products form our online store - (Opening soon)

2. Refer people to our website to sign up for our newsletter - this will increase our sales opportunities

3. Ask for Monte Xanic wine at your local bar, restaurant, retail store

4. Stay in touch to learn our new offerings as we grow - we are looking to have 10 wines on our website when it launches

5. Refer tours requests to our website - we get referral fee's from Boca Roja Adventure tours

6. Have fun as a partner!

Sincerely,

Jim Riley

Thats my beer! No really, thats my beer... 3 days left to Invest!

"Thats my beer" are the exact words that will come out of your mouth when you see the beer you invested in on the shelf at the bar. One of the greatest pleasures of being in the wine and beer business is the opportunity to share with your friends. I have enjoyed this business for over 20 years and some of my greatest friends were made at the bar enjoying some drinks and telling stories. I hope that you will have the same opportunity as our brands take off. Blue C Advertising has done a wonderful job mocking up some designs for our Craft Beer project. Click on the attached link.

According to the Brewers association, Craft Beer is enjoying a 6.2% increase in sales, Import Beer is growing at 6.8% and the Craft Beer market is generating $23.5 Billion dollars! It is our goal to get a piece of that pie.

Baja Game Changer: Cameron Steele introduces us to his Orphanage Partner of choice - Rancho Santa Marta

If you know Cameron Steele, then you know how much he loves Baja and the people of Baja. He has made a lifestyle out of his adventures down south. Baja United is proud to support his efforts with Rancho Santa Marta and hold true to our mission statement: A Business with a Purpose. We recently took a personal interest in Cameron's "Beach Bash Ride" and donated to the cause from the Executive teams pockets to kick things off with them. See the attached newsletter (Link attached) that went out this week celebrating Cameron and his Baja Life Style. Cameron is often heard saying "We are all family down here in Baja, come join us".

Baja United officially welcomes Transpeninsular Brewery to the mix!

Baja United has officially received the proper documentation to be an "Authorized" Importer and seller of Transpeninsular Beers in the United States. After several months of getting to know the key principles of the brewery and too many tastings to count, Collin Corrigan, the Founder of TP Brewery sends off the signed documents of authorization. It has always been the goal of Baja United to expand its portfolio into other arenas and the beer was featured on our initial public offering. The reality is here now as we work through the logistics of importation and a strategic marketing plan. If you invested to be in the beer business, its official now! Please see the attached article on Collin and Transpeninsular Brewery. we will be looking to bring Kegs to the San Diego area by Mid October. Stay tuned for locations...

Get your airline miles while investing and the Baja United Campaign hits the 200k mark today...

Ok - If you have one of those fancy credit cards where you get airline miles or hotel points, you can now invest in Baja United with your Credit Card. Outside of the hurricanes and floods that have had people requesting more time to get involved with the campaign, we have also had many requests for Credit Card payments. Start Engine recently added a credit card feature to the investment platform. At first we were not sure how that would be received by potential investors, but after many requests we decided to add the feature. So the door is open - grab your plastic, invest with a purpose, and get those perks your credit card company offers for using it!

On an even more positive note - the "Boys" down in Texas did not disappoint today after the flood waters dried up, they pushed through the investment that put us over the 200k mark. We are thankful to all the investors that believe in the business and have placed their confidence in the team. If you have any questions about your investment, the shares you own, or how the business is being run, don't hesitate to post your comments on our page. We would be happy to address all questions.

Salud!

Costco Confirms Monte Xanic Placement in San Diego

Baja United was informed today by its partner Youngs Market Company that Costco will be selling Monte Xanic wines in a few of its San Diego locations. We are working through the details but we can expect to see Monte Xanic on their shelves very soon. The blends they are reviewing specifically are the Chenin Colombard and Gran Ricardo. However, they have tasted the entire line up with positive reviews. The brand has a history with Costco in previous years and they are happy to continue building off the past. The specific stores listed are: Chula Vista, H Street Otay Lakes, and Market Street.

Cheers!

Are you a Baja United Investor? If so your in "Great" company with the latest investor, Geoff Hill

We are pleased to introduce you to one of our latest investors, Geoff Hill. We would consider Geoff an "expert" in all things Baja and  are thrilled he invested in Baja United. I recently asked Geoff about his background in Baja and why he spends so much time down there. He said,  "I have spent the last 30 years traveling throughout Baja to experience the magic and all the adventures the peninsula has to offer. The Baja wine country is a very special place that I love visiting and sharing with others. The wine and food movement going on in the region are truly spectacular and finally beginning to get the notoriety it deserves. Baja United provides a unique investment opportunity to be a part of this movement while also giving back to the children of Baja, which is a perfect fit!"

It is a true compliment coming from a 30 year Veteran of Baja that he has invested with us and believes in what we are doing. In Geoff's professional life he is the VP of Business Development for BajaBound.com Mexican Insurance Services. If you plan on visiting Baja anytime soon, be prepared and have the proper insurance coverage. Geoff can also give you some great tips on where to go on your adventure.

Welcome to the team Geoff.

"Life happens" and so do hurricane and floods... Investment window extended

To all potential Baja United investors -

I have had a number of requests to extend the investment period. We have several interested parties in Texas and Florida that have been effected directly by the Hurricanes or are helping others. We are happy to make the offer available for another 60 days and get some more "Like-Minded" people involved. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected and that are trying to escape IRMA this weekend.

On another note -Baja United had a very successful day with Youngs Market Company in Los Angeles yesterday as we launched Monte Xanic wines. The teams came from as far away as Palm Springs and North of Santa Barbara. The overwhelming response was that they have been waiting for a product like Monte Xanic from Baja. We are enthusiastic about the ability of this quality sales force to place our wines around Southern California. Some "Hot Spots" to look for the wines in the near future: Palm Springs, Manhatten Beach, Inland Empire, Santa Barbara, and more....

Cheers

Monte Xanic owner Hans Backhoff and Sr. Executive Ana Cesna will be launching the Los Angeles Market TomorrowSr

Due to a special invite from Youngs Market Company to feature specific partners, Hans Backhoff will be in LA this week with Baja United launching our sales efforts in the region. This is an incredible opportunity for new customers and the entire LA YMCO team to meet Hans and learn first hand about the winery. This will only serve to stimulate growth of our sales as we head into the very important Holiday selling season. We have also been notified that Monte Xanic has been selected amongst a few other products to be on "Goal" for the month of September with YMCO for the entire Southern California sales team. With over 500 sales reps for the area, we have great expectations that this will be a very successful month.

Record weekend for Campaign Funding.... 5 days to go before the close date.

Dear Baja United Investors -

We just had a record weekend for investments in terms of the "weekend cycle" and number of investors. We raised over $19,000 with 15 new sign ups for our campaign and a few adding more to their original investment. Just when we thought nobody was paying attention and enjoying the Labor Day weekend, success happened. We have five days to go before our campaign ends. If you are thinking about investing or adding to your shares - please don't hesitate. I am available for any questions you might have about Baja United or the opportunity.

Cheers

Pre Weekend Update - YMCO places second order in 30 days for over $23,000.00

Due to the quick ramp up and excitement in the marketplace, Youngs Market Company has just placed a second order for more wine. This will increase our brand footprint and help replenish cases that have already been sold in the first week. It is our understanding that September will be a very successful month due to programming that is in place. Monte Xanic has approved aggressive programming and support to help the sales teams in the streets.

We have 11 days left on the offering. The time is now to get involved!

Baja United Group Gets First Big Order From California Distributor - Youngs Market Company

Baja United was selected by Youngs Market Company (YMCO) to be one of their suppliers of Baja Wines. After several discussions and research by both teams, Baja United received an order from YMCO for over $26,000 earlier this month. This was their opening order which included four varietals of Monte Xanic wines. The official launch will be on September 8th with all Southern California sales teams being alerted of the brand. This is an exciting partnership due to the magnitude and strength of YMCO. They are currently one of the top five distributors in the United States covering 14 Western States. This will allow for mass distribution throughout Southern California and beyond. The ability to sell through a major distributor will increase our footprint on the ground and expedite our street sales through their resources. Baja United would like to encourage all current investors to alert any potential bars, restaurants, or retail stores that they can now buy Monte Xanic wines from YMCO.

Baja United breaks 100k in Capital Raised this weekend!

Dear Investors!!

"Thank You" for you vote of confidence in this project and the team. It is through your investment that we will be able to take advantage of this emerging market of Baja wines in the United States. We will equally be positioning our beer partner, Transpeninsular Brewery, as one of the top selections from south of the border, available soon in Southern California. When we formed this company we felt that we could "boot-strap" our efforts and take our time, however the market dictates that we act now and run with some of the top wineries in Baja such as Monte Xanic. You the investors, have made this possible.

The entire team at Baja United Thanks You for your investment!

Cheers

Jim, Steve, Eric, Jeff, and Jennifer

Baja United Loft Opens Today!

In partnership with Transpeninsular Brewery we opened our official "tasting" space in Baja Mexico, devoted to Baja United Beer and Wine.  Tonight we will be tasting Monte Xanic Granache and running wine specials throughout the night. The loft is a great location inside the Transpeninsular Brewery overlooking the brewing area and the main bar. It also has an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean through a variety of windows looking East. For those wanting to be outdoors, the patio entrance is also located off the loft and has become a popular area to hang out. Stay tuned for weekly tasting reports from the Baja United Loft on our Social Media channels. Be sure to stop by Transpeninsular Brewery for Wine Wednesdays with our tasting expert Jennifer Coleman. She will be selecting a new partner every week to feature their wines and give a seminar with tasting notes. This is a great place to stay for the beer, wine and food. Cheers! The Baja United Team
