This multi-year agreement provides the opportunity to reach traditional fans over air, cable, and online. 


The AUDL social media platform has experienced strong and steady growth since inception. With a combined digital presence of over 250,000 Facebook fans, 40,000+ Twitter Followers, over 2 Million Vine loops annually and surpassing 15 million highlight views annually across the league – and growing fast – it is core to the AUDL digital presence. AUDL highlights have been seen countless times on SportsCenter, CBS Sports, Fox Sports 1, The Buzzer, SportsNation, Sports Jeopardy, Pardon the Interruption and local sports newscasts on stations across the U.S. and Canada. Highlights have also been featured on the front page of nearly every major sports website including Bleacher Report, SB Nation,, Deadspin, 120 Sports, and The Guardian. With the league now poised to reach beyond the Ultimate community and in the early stages of reaching the national sports landscape, these numbers and mass exposure are expected to grow tremendously.

In preparation for expected growth, the AUDL has taken a big step by standardizing the other digital element - all team websites. To date, teams have had the autonomy to develop their own websites and manage them independently. That has allowed teams to post truly independent content that is unique to their markets, but this season we created a standardized  format that continues to allow the unique flavor of each team while expanding to include a common look, theme and increased, consistent national content. As we embark on the massive growth curve expected, we’ll continue to dedicate more space to national content, but will always maintain the individual charm and local fan engagement in each market.


With the remarkable growth and increased exposure the AUDL has experience each year, national sports marketing firms have taken notice. A core revenue center for the AUDL is national sponsorships and in late 2017, the league entered into new partnered with YSC Sports Marketing, a leader in building relationships and procuring long-term sponsorships on behalf of non-traditional sports and cutting edge events. YSC has successfully represented leagues including the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, Major League Lacrosse, Pro Beach Soccer Tour and more. They are now bringing their extensive experience and expertise to the AUDL to help us increase revenues from partnership and advertising.

Since our inception, the AUDL’s core goals have been to showcase the best Ultimate in the world in a fun, exciting and family-friendly manner that is entertaining for all, provides equal opportunity for all adult players regardless of race, gender, creed or age, and provides children of all ages and backgrounds with the same opportunity to experience the game and its benefits including the values of integrity, sportsmanship and the high level of exercise so important to our youth.


Our passionate belief in providing equal opportunity to all adult players is what led to our “open” format that truly seeks the best players in the world, regardless of race, gender, creed or age.  It also provides the basis for our social tenets, which seek to expand the introduction and growth of Ultimate to children of every race and ethnicity, advance existing women’s Ultimate and grow participation by young women at the youth level, and introduce Ultimate to young players in underserved communities who previously have not always had the same opportunity to participate. 

In our quest to fulfill these tenets, we are embarking on an ambitious agenda to provide extensive exposure to women’s Ultimate through our exploding social media reach, further our youth outreach in cooperation with Discraft to put 5,000 discs in the hands of youth in 2018 while also structuring clinic programs with a focus on urban areas that allow us to reach traditionally neglected communities and underserved kids.  While the intent is to be accessible to every child, we recognize the unique opportunity to reach young women within our clinics and will offer 50+% of instructors identifying as female.  

AMERICUS PRO CUP SERIES (Partnership with EuroStars Tour)

The AUDL has entered into an unprecedented 3-year agreement with the EuroStars Tour to launch the newly formed Americus Pro Cup series, beginning in 2018.  As part of this exciting new series, each season, the league will co-produce 7 women’s games in AUDL cities across North America.  These will be stand-alone games heavily marketed by both, the AUDL and individual teams, with all games streamed internationally on AUDL Facebook Live.  In addition, through our partnership with Stadium Sports, we will also broadcast one of the games as Stadium’s first-ever broadcast of women’s Ultimate.  With positive viewership, Stadium will also consider expanding the number of women’s games broadcast in 2019 and beyond.  

Founded in 1968 by a group of high school players, the sport, according to the 2014 Sports and Fitness Industry Association Ultimate Frisbee Single Sport Report, now boasts over five million Americans who play the sport at least once per year. 

That growth set the stage for ultimate’s next step: professional ultimate. Founded in 2012, the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) was formed with the mission to increase the visibility of one of North America’s fastest growing sports by creating fun, family-friendly events that showcase the sport being played at its highest level. Combined with the league’s proactive marketing plans and responsible social agenda, the timing to invest in the AUDL may never be better.

The AUDL has experienced substantial growth over its 6 year existence.  Growing from 8 teams in the inaugural 2012 season to 23 teams in 2018, the AUDL now boasts 4 regional divisions – East, West, Midwest and South - spanning the U.S. and Canada.  Further expansion is planned and already includes Portland joining the West Division in 2019.

The first 14 days of our Title III regulations Crowdfunding offer has been both exciting and successful.  In the first week, our initiative had one of the most successful first weeks ever offered on StartEngine.  Clearly, fans see the opportunity an AUDL investment provides and many more are doing their due diligence.  As a part of that process, the following questions have surfaced.

The AUDL Reach and Culture

Over the last six years, the AUDL has successfully developed a substantial fan base and engaged online and social media audience.  In addition to the hundreds of thousands of followers on our social media, nearly 100,000 fans enjoyed our exciting regular season, playoff and Championship Weekend games in 2017.  They enjoyed unique access to players in pregame clinics and extensive post game interactions with fans – including various structured activities like autographing hats and discs for young kids excited to meet their idols.  It’s a unique part of the culture.  

Why is the AUDL Pursuing a Title III Regulation Crowdfunding Offer?

As a part of our ongoing business plan, the primary business goal of the league in 2018 is to now increase revenues.  Our focus will be to do so by monetizing our digital content and attracting larger sponsors on both a national and regional basis now that we’ve achieved initial levels of critical mass.  While millions of college, club and recreational players love and support our game, there are HUNDREDS of millions of sports fans in the US and abroad that have likely never heard of Ultimate.  The opportunity to bring the game to more fans and potential sponsors who share our core values has arrived and we will commit a portion of the revenue generated to expand the game to this greater sports audience, specifically targeting the growing millennial audience we continue to work so hard to develop.

Use of Proceeds

As outlined in our Offering Memorandum under “Use of Proceeds”, approximately 2/3 of our maximum raise will be spent to increase the marketing of group ticket sales, national and regional sponsorship procurement.  In addition to the direct revenue the league will attract from national sponsorships, it will also generate commission revenue on the regional sponsorships the league generates for the teams.  The remainder will be used to increase working capital.

More Owners Creates a Powerful Multiplier Effect

Today, the ownership of the AUDL is highly concentrated.  As detailed in the “Ownership” section of our Offering Memorandum, the top three investors in our Series A Common Units represent 93% of the ownership of the league.  You can see how these major investors have continued to invest in the league’s development in the “Timeline” shown in our Investment Overview.  There are also an average of 2-3 owners of the individual teams, approximately 75 total.

Now, imagine if we increase the size of this community by 10 times or more to 750 - 1,000 new league owners who become advocates of the league spreading the word to potential fans and sponsors.  The reach becomes exponential as they share the opportunity this sport has to break away from the pack now.

Owner Involvement

While owners of Series B Units will not hold voting rights, we anticipate this group will be passionate about Ultimate and offer a tremendous amount of experience and input that will be beneficial to the future of the league.  Accordingly, we plan regular interaction with the Series B Unit investors and intend to provide direct access to our marketing team, our ownership group and even our players.
